I am getting teary-eyed listening to this. Ah, be still my heart. If a shepherd realizes one of his sheep is MIA, he does not give up, but continues searching until the lost sheep is found. He brings it back with rejoicing. So is our Father-Mother God with every child of His care. Then is the strayed sheep motivated to obey and follow the shepherd's instructions more closely and never make the same mistake again. Love is more powerful than human will. And just like the father of the Prodigal Son never stopped loving his youngest, despite the foolish seeds he had sown. On the other end, the youngest son felt like he had sinned beyond forgiveness -- the harsh reality that he had spent all the money recklessly, combined with his destitution during the famine in the land where he was, brought to light that he had some serious heart-searching to do. So he goes homeward, and his father receives him with unconditional love and great joy! Our Father-Mother God possesses the same attitude. Love never runs out, nor does it fail.

He sent His Word, His holy Word (Hymn 101) 10. God is our refuge and defense, in trouble our unfailing aid 11. Happy the man whose heart can rest (Hymn 93) 12. Take my life, and let it be (Hymn 324) 13. Loving Father, we Thy children (Hymn 181) 14. Know, O child, thy full salvation (Hymn 167) 15. God of Truth, eternal good (Hymn 85) 16.
