US-based listener here. I just want to let you both know that, despite occasional frustration hearing about bikes we won’t get here in the States, you are rapidly becoming my favourite moto-podcast. Having ridden and owned primarily Japanese motorcycles, dirt bikes and scooters, and having worked at one of the larger powersports dealerships in the MidWest, the Electra Glide itself is mediocre to me personally. I enjoy some of the newer HD design language such as the Pan America a lot, and believe the Street and Road Glide models look amazing. I owned a KZ1000 police bike and it was alright, but would have preferred a HD to it honestly. Most motorcycle law enforcement officers here in the United States are great examples of how to interact with the riding public, and seem primarily concerned with keeping riders and the drivers they share the road with safe and free from harm. Thank you for all the brilliant work you put into this show. I very much appreciate the information and insight. Much love! PS- I’m taking my family to Columbus, OH in August to see the Man City and Chelsea match at The Ohio Stadium, and meeting up with buddies the day after to ride “the triple nickel.” Cheers!
Thanks so much for the kind words and support - really appreciate it! Got the new Road Glide arriving for review today which I'm very much looking forward to and will definitely be channelling my inner US traffic cop :) Enjoy the match! Who's your team?
My 2023 Trident has Baja Orange. Seen a few black and white colours around, I think I choose the right colour. People tell me it looks mega. Bright and vibrant colours are great on bikes, liven's them up.
In New Zealand, our police have recently been equipped with Tracer 9 GTs which I reckon is a pretty solid choice, a little bit lighter and nimbler than other countries but with similar capacity
I ALMOST bought a CF moto papio SS instead of a Grom based on the looks alone.. if this bike makes it to the US I would pick it over a CBR500 or ninja 500.
Somebody else mentioned TTPlus, that is shown live and you can also replay the races (and the practice sessions) in full if you missed them. If you are a TT fan you really need to pull £20 out of your trouser pocket because it really is money well spent 🇬🇧
Interesting Podcast, you can't help but be impressed with CF Moto designs, they are producing some very good looking bikes, as for the 500 concept, can't help thinking the inspiration was Honda's CBR 400RR (Gullarm).
Over here in the Netherlands the police ride on R1250RT and in tight city centres you'll see Tracer 700s. Pretty neat but it's no Ténéré... Also I'm keen on Triumph's new color ways although some are very very saturated
Guys another great podcast, we finally getting Triumph dealership here in Slovenia ❤❤❤❤. Love their modern retros 😊😊. Keep up with great work and when is coming the test of Pierer Mobility siblings KTM 790 Duke, CF Moto 800NK , Husqvarna Svarpilen 801😊😊😂❤❤
For me, a bike with a homologated exhaust shouldn't need a soundo. Maybe KTM are saying they won't be able to meet future sound level restrictions even with stock exhausts and the only way forward is to push the responsibility to the rider. What if in an urban area, the Speedo says 30 mph the legal speed but the soundo says nope, not a legal noise level?
I think the orange looks okay with clear coat. They can keep the matt version though. You missed the best one. The Speed Triple is coming in Cosmic Yellow next year.
Hi!, about the cfmoto 500 I saw an announcement from cfmoto Mexico and they said the will bring that one here, so maybe you may get it in 2025. It really looks interesting and with the 675 if they release the production version of that one it will be very exiting to take a look. It seems that cfmoto is responding to what QJMotor is doing in China as they have the 400, 600, 800, and 900 sports versions of bikes but for the moment the 800 and 900 are only in the China market. So the QJMotor strategy is very aggressive with so many sports bikes probably pushing cfmoto down a similar path.
Hi, anyone know where I can get this as an actual podcast. I've failed to find it since Google podcasts have migrated to UA-cam music. I don't subscribe to Spotify or any of that carry on btw...cheers in advance
Hi thanks for your comment - we had a delay on audio but should be back to regular upload schedule now with new audio and video episodes each Friday. Thanks for listening!
Triumph 660 sport orange 'colour way' is well balanced visuals - small concentrated area of low sheen orange and balanced by the expanse of deep triumph matt black , Its not a busy mess of stripes . Its tasteful CFMoto 500SR retro is chunky perfection,, big brother Pepio. Really like design,,, its user they're using some Italian design use ..450SR has Aprila aesthetics ... 500 4cl at 3/4 price of Kawasaki 4RR with better warranty and specs. Hhmmmm cant wait,, that or the CFMoto 675 will be my next bike most probably
The cfmoto looks amazing. Really hope they manage to prove themselves and do to the motorcycle market what Kia and Hyundai have done to the car market.
You bet. A Triumph spokes person said watch this space to a journo when showing them the last ever model of the Thruxton. That surely means a higher performance Speed Twin is coming to fill the gap.
@@fyorbane I hope so. Right now I’m caught between a current model speed twin 1200 and a Thruxton. If triumph were to announce ST1200 R or RS model I’d definitely be more inclined to wait for next season too
Talking of that CFMOTO 500 boom concept, have a look at the CFMOTO Papio 125, which is like a monkey bike sized, or Honda Grom style bike. It shares a lot of the same design language but is a few years old now. I am not sure they are copying someone else this time, so much as making an attempt to make their own path. For me it reminded me of the Ducati Desert X.
Why would you fall into line on sound monitoring cameras...those type off roll overs have already given you all speed cameras and restrictions what you can take into cities?
Danish police has been replacing their old FJR1300's and swithing to the Multistrada V4S. A lot of them are not being used and have internal restrictions due to the brakes not being up to the task. Rumors says they are looking into getting out of the 7 year contract due to these issues.
The Ducati’s have. As far as I know, the FJR’s have been quite trouble-free. The sensible choice would probably have been the Beemer R 1250 RT, but .... 🤷🏼♂️
The CF Moto is gorgeous, probably generative AI😂 Triumph bikes, although I love the brand and have owned a few, looks increasingly plastic and cheap. Strangely the new Daytona looks lovely but is cheaper and doesn't sound like it handles when picking up the pace...
AT LAST!!! Triumph has returned to some bold color options. Enough of more than a decade of black, gray and white! Boring as hell. I am so happy to see Roulette Green, Baja Orange and some yellows return again, that this alone is a reason to buy again a new Triumph!
So I own a proper dirtbike and a Tenere 700 Extreme. If I'm riding around on my dirtbike on full knobbies and the police showed up on a T7 with any kind of tires that also work on road, I would absolutely smoke them on my dirtbike and loose them within 2 minutes max. I'm pretty sure any half decent dirtbike rider could get away from pretty decent police riders on T7s, as long as they aren't quite on the level of Pol Tarres.
Cf Moto improves as fast as they steal others build secrets. I'm poor and still won't buy a cf Moto because it's cheap. F that. I'll wait for my husky or Ducati supermoto.
Have you riders in Europe ever thought of questioning the politicians you voted in why they are hammering motorcycles so hard with all these restrictions ? Do they not represent you ?

Also US based listener and new subscriber!!! I can’t believe you guys don’t have a half a million followers already!!!
That CFMoto bike looks stunning.
Just a note in the US the majority of local PD and more and more highway patrol use bmw r1250. Those Harleys you listed are the rarity now.
Interesting! Didn’t know that - I guess don’t believe everything you see in movies 😅
My 2023 Trident has Baja Orange. Seen a few black and white colours around, I think I choose the right colour. People tell me it looks mega.
Bright and vibrant colours are great on bikes, liven's them up.
Indeed! Enough with 15 years of black, white and gray. Boring cars had more interesting and lively colors on offer than supposedly fun motorcycles.
In New Zealand, our police have recently been equipped with Tracer 9 GTs which I reckon is a pretty solid choice, a little bit lighter and nimbler than other countries but with similar capacity
Totally agree - a great all rounder!
I ALMOST bought a CF moto papio SS instead of a Grom based on the looks alone.. if this bike makes it to the US I would pick it over a CBR500 or ninja 500.
The papio looks awesome too - would love to take one for a spin

ttplus pass is brilliant value to not rely on itv highlights
Om gosh yeah, u can see his brow AND his eyelashes as well !!! Freaky sick !!!

Naming colours is always interesting, but “inoffensive red” works for me.
That t100 silver/orange combo is pretty sweet.
V nice agree 👍

Why in Germany we don’t have the 850 Tiger? I’m really interested to buy one but it’s not an option….
Wow the blue one looks beautiful
Blue was a A++
i gotta respect triumph for the bold colour choices. Still think one of the best factory colours is the S1000RR blue fire
I love everything about the CFMOTO 500SR Voom. I'm also hoping for a US release. Great show btw.
Thanks mate!
I think the orange looks okay with clear coat. They can keep the matt version though.

They did show it.

Hi nice video ive heard that it can have a tendancy to overheat how did you find it .. lovely looking bike though
These new Triumph Colors are also offered by some of the Dealers here in India for Speed 400 and Scram 400x
Guys, I'm listening to you on Spotify in the car. Why is there the last update ep.66 from 5/17? Please do something about it :) Thanks!
The cfmoto looks amazing. Really hope they manage to prove themselves and do to the motorcycle market what Kia and Hyundai have done to the car market.
Love CF Moto design, probably using AI to help them, where as Suzuki for example are still using Lego.
Nothing new for the Speed Twin 1200? Wonder if that means something big on the way for that model with the Thruxton being discontinued
You bet. A Triumph spokes person said watch this space to a journo when showing them the last ever model of the Thruxton. That surely means a higher performance Speed Twin is coming to fill the gap.

This is truly the big brother of the cute lil papio!
Why would you fall into line on sound monitoring cameras...those type off roll overs have already given you all speed cameras and restrictions what you can take into cities?
I need that the next xsr gp have a dual headlight like the cfmoto
Exactly!
That would look perfect!
Cf moto is more exciting than others are doing 😂
Finland goes with Kawazaki H2 and Yamaha tracer 9:s for the police :)
O yeah this new CF Moto is just gorgeous ❤❤ slightly remaindes me on MV Agusta and Lucky Explorer going in bed😂😂😂
Waspy Yellow Triple 1200RS: Bumblebee's back......
lol. That's not a bad thing when they've nailed it so well.
Harleys are mostly used fir parade escort duty. Traffic interdiction is 90 percent bmw
Norway have BMW R1200/1250 GS as their police bike

which bikes have brake issues? Yamaha or Ducati?
The Ducati’s have.
As far as I know, the FJR’s have been quite trouble-free. The sensible choice would probably have been the Beemer R 1250 RT, but .... 🤷🏼♂️
Yes brake issues are on their new Ducatis

The orange and grey on that Bobber makes it look like a tow truck.

Another one sponsored by CF moto.
