In a few years let’s just call it like it is: Dr. Octopus Holds Your Camera Pro
Tilta makes a lot of cool stuff that doesn't work.
Best take
Every time I drive by Tilta in Burbank I want to go impulse buy something, but I don't need anything, I just like geeking out at the Hydra in the lobby. I have an X6 like the one on the background, I kinda want to rent a Hydra and clamp it on for fun but my dog can't operate it from the backseat unless she grows thumbs.
Interesting
You know that tilta stole the patent from Motocrane? And many more. I really don't think this good for the whole industry. As much as I'd like this I just can't.
Yeah, so you got a source to cite on that?
why not just use a drone
Drones are pretty rad but... There are a lot of reasons to not use a drone, rig weight, the floaty drone shot look that disconnects the viewer from a driving sequence, a minor bump and the drone is down for a bit, a car can run all day on a tank of gas without an armada of battery and parts support vehicles, ride-along of crew to make significant changes in-car.
@@testshootagree with all of this! Thanks for breaking that down. Time and place for drones
