An example for German culture is: "it's forbidden to use this stairs, because they do not conform to the norm, conversion not possible due to monument protection". But my biggest problem is that the most Germans (not all, but the most) are very unfriendly. You will hear "sorry" or "thank you" not very often. not everything is bad in Germany and everyone sees it differently, but for me they are more negative points than positive. The most Germans would say "yeah you have to pay much taxes, but therefore you have good streets, a good healthcare system etc", but you have the same in the Netherlands, or in Canada and don't have to pay nearly the half of your salary for taxes. The drawback in Canada is their medical system which needs months for a single appointment... It's a long waiting period even some comeback to India for medical treatments and your parents should adapt to the 6 months winter season. Please consider the medical systems of both countries 🙌🏻
I live in Germany and even if germans know English many of them refuse to talk in English. Each phone call is a huge stress. No English service. Also Canada is better because in Canada you'll be an immigrant as almost everybody else whereas in Germany, germans are natives and you'll never be treated equally.
In addition, some of them hang the phone if you don't speak German. They don't even bother themselves to create english speaking service ( English is an international language). All apps are in German with no option to switch to english. To compare, I lived in Greece, and they had english service and apps I in English.
