Thanks for this. It is very helpful but, can we all agree, it is stupid that we can't just download it as a ppt at one time? The fact that I have to download a large presentation into individual pages and then add each page back into PPT is a huge waste of time. Who would we complain to about this?
Thanks a lot mam...i was worried after making animation in canva..I thought it will save me as ppt with animation but it didn't happen and I thought my all hard work gone waste but I found your video. It was savior
Really cool. But what about animation created in canva for a presentation or slide transitions. Usually after working on the contents and design I always have to invest time in making all animations and slide transitions in ppt
I would prefer to download the whole presentation and then replace those slides that need changing with the gifs as you describe. I find it easier to have the placeholder slides there as a visual reference point for the replacements. I don't suppose the exported slides will retain any transition information. It means adding a suitable transition again once you're in PowerPoint.
That sounds like a very reasonable alternative solution, Lia. It's entirely up to you to do whatever works best. Sadly transitions don't export to PPT at the current time, but I might just raise that as a request again with the team at Canva ;)
That's a good question. If you want to use these kinds of projects as a social media post, you'd have to resize it first using the Magic Switch tool. Then you can share your project directly to your social media channels via Canva, or download the animated designs and then upload them to social media. I hope that helps ✨
@@JavierGonzalez-ot3uy that all depends on which social media platform you're using. But I tend to find the 1080x1080px template works for IG, LinkedIn and FB ;)
@@NickyPasquier Thank you, Nicky... for such an awesome explanation as well as super quick response. Hi! Thankyou for this information! I made my first canva powerpoint today (with really cool transitions). I would to import it to powerpoint and found out now that these transitions can not be imported in to PowerPoint. Because i would like to present the powerpoint by clicking (and not just a film) is MP4 film not an option. Alsso I want my presentation in Powerpoint so my colleges can adjust the tekst and they do not have/use canva. Is there any solution? :)
Hi. I tried this but canva is asking me try a limited free trial each time, which means i have to put in my credit card details 😢. Do u have any other new recommendations
You probably have elements within the presentation which aren't all free (if you're using a free account). So you need to go through and have a look at all the fonts, graphics, etc. you're using in the slides to make sure they're all free rather than Pro elements.
Hi Nicky, please, can you give me advice? My PPTX presentation always convert very strangely. Fonts are different, sizing of fonts too.. It looks completely different and I have no idea why. I am going crazy because of this. Spending hours of creating something awesome but always ends up terrible.
Do you mean when you export to PPT? If so it's not currently possible to export the transitions. Its a real shame but I will give Canva this feedback and hopefully one day soon this will be implemented 🤞🏻
Thanks for this!! I found your old video first on Google and then went to your channel and saw you just put up this updated version… perfect timing! I am working on a presentation template and wanted to easily offer it in more then just Canva format.
Hi this is great but when I tray and open the saved file it says it cant and the file needs to be repaired? I select the option to repair and that doesnt work either , do I need a specific programme?
This sounds like a technical issue with the device you're using rather than an issue with Canva / PPT. Just check to ensure all your apps & programmes are up-to-date.
Is it possible to save a Canva presentation to a flash drive so I can play it on someone else’s computer and do the presentation for their church group? If so, how?
Hi Nicky. This isn't quite the same, but I do have a question about slides in Canva. I have a slide that has MANY slides and I need to save them all separately, each with their own name. Can you let me know how to do that please?
@@NickyPasquier thank you for responding so swiftly! I know how to download individually, but that would take ages as it is 48 slides. Is there a way to download the pages separately in one go?
I just made my school presentation recently and it includes videos but after exporting it as ppt, the videos were missing. Do you know how to fix that Maam?
Yes you can get around this easily by downloading your presentation as a video or MP4 file. Otherwise videos, animations and GIF files don't work when exporting to PPT. Alternatively you could present your slides within Canva! 🤩 You'll need an Internet connection to do this 🔌. Good luck!
