Oh this is going to be good. I've never used this type of device in my Mentalism performances. I've looked at other devices in past but never bought. Given the price, and the reviews I saw on Penguin, I pulled the trigger on this. Vanishing Inc showed in stock 4 days ago and grabbed one. Still hasn't arrived but I very much look forward to trying this out. Your reviews are always A+-- ok ont to the review.... !!

    Amazing review, Nique.
However I strongly recommend you to incorporate it in your show. I love it. My audience loves it. I bet - you will love it and so will your audience.

Hi Nique, excellent review. Very thorough, thoughtful, candid, and enjoyable! I have seen the bc effects performed on stage and they are brilliant. I admit I have the same reservations as you. However, these devices are truly amazing. Your friend, David

I might just have to take a risk and give it a shot. 👍🏻

Great review. I saw a Chris Ramsay video where he did this style of effect where, if I remember correctly, he touched a person's head and they heard a voice. I figured it was some type of hidden device that made sound travel through the bones and always wondered about how it was done. If you want to see a real reaction to having a recording projected into someone's eardrum go find the video to get an idea of how someone might react.

Very insightful-- Thank you. I look forward to trying this on friends etc to see if going to use-- I was wondering if spec will really feel and be convinced with the "magic moment". To me, this was a way to try this form of Mentalism out and see if it works. Have seen some great performances online using these devices-- Was great to get your insights. Thanks so much.

Go for it. From my experience, this is a revolution in Mentalism

@@neerajk8502i second that. Mental Voice is probably my best magic purchase of the year. Very much satisfied with the effect and possibilities.
As far as the spectator's perception goes, I disagree with Nique. The spectator indeed perceives the sound to come from within his head, not from outside.

If you're on a budget this is also possible to make for about $40 using an Arduino and bone conducting transducer from the AdaFruit store, I was developing these in 2015

In the audio world 16MB is only like 2 minutes of WAV. One of the reason why I have not purchased Joao's Equalizer is because it can only use MP3 which is very inferior audio. What format does Mental Voice use?

This sounds like it could be genuinely incredible but it's not quite there yet.
I don't know how I'd actually get away with using it if I had to have the device in contact with my spectator.
Also, you know that you and I have very similar taste in effects, and I think like you I'm very wary of using any technology that could fail and the wrong time.
I'd love to see more stuff like this be brouduced and improved upon, but I think for myself I'll have to wait before I go near it.

I do know some performers who use such devices to great effect. I do have an out for this if it fails on me (if I do use it in my show).

A failure would mean the spectator couldn’t pickup on the thought, you could still figure out a way reveal the thought maybe “working with the spectator in another way” I’m sure there is a way to save the routine since at the end of the day you know the “thought” at least this is my thinking

I wonder how it compares with inception.

    • @neerajk8502

I own both. In terms of audio quality and volume control, Mental Voice is far superior than Inception of Promystic.
In terms of features, Inception wins.

But considering the price point. Mental voice is the real value for money.

A good and sincere review. However, I am surprised that this product with all its properties can be shown so openly !? What I find critical is that a spectator has to be touched on the head, which is a very intimate affair that certainly doesn't appeal to everyone. And I agree that it's easy to get the impression that some kind of loudspeaker was used by the magician. Ultimately, however, I cannot judge the listening impression as I do not own this device.

I own Promystics Inception and to be honest this very much looks like a cheaper knock off! The unit looks similar but definitely doesn’t boast what inception can do and what functions it has! Nique you know I love you but respectfully even though the creator is happy for this to be exposed! We are exposing something quite big here in a very public way! If the expose on there website how many lay people will possibly stumble on it say versus a you tube video! I respect you man and know you haven’t meant any harm by reviewing the product but this one is a little uncomfortable for me considering the price of the Inception unit and these units have been used on national tv programs like BGT etc… From a technical point try putting the device on a volume low enough you can’t hear anything and then place the unit onto a hard surface and see how much the device amplifies! That should give you a good idea of how it should work on your specrator! 👍🏼

Good review, the biggest problem is the audio quality and self recorded tracks which always sound mechanical and unnatural. The technique is pretty known amongst public as well. Will never ever use any of these and had a few to test in the past (also very expensive ones).

Is it known in the public? 🤨
I‘m pretty sure that it‘s not… Where are you from? 😁
