Our brother asks in his first question and says: A Muslim brother asked me: Where is God? So I said to him: In the heavens, and he said to me: What do you think of God Almighty’s saying: His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth [Al-Baqarah: 255] and He mentioned many verses, then he said: If we claimed that God is in the heavens; We have identified a specific party, so what does your Eminence think about that? Are these questions among the things we are forbidden from asking about?

You are correct in your answer, and this answer that you answered is the answer with which the Prophet - peace and blessings be upon him - answered, for God - the Most High and Most High - is in the sky, in the highest,  as he  said: Do you feel safe from the one in the sky lest the earth swallow you up, and behold, it is passing? Or If you believe that He who is in heaven will send against you a judge, then you will know what a warner he is. [Al-Mulk: 16-17] And He - the Most High, the Most High - said: The Most Gracious has ascended above the Throne. [Taha: 5] And God Almighty said: Indeed, your Lord is God Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then settled upon the Throne [Al-A'raf: 54].

As for his saying - the Majestic and Most High -: His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth [Al-Baqarah: 255], this does not contradict that, the Throne is above the heavens, and the Throne is above the Throne, and God is above the Throne, above all creation, peace be upon him, and specifying the direction there is no objection to it is the direction of height, because God is on high.
But some theologians and some innovators doubt this, and they say: It is not in a direction, and this is a statement that contains details. If they want: It is not in a created direction, and that it is not within the heavens, and it is not within the earth, and something like this is true, but if they mean that it is not in the heights, This is false, and this is contrary to what the Book of God indicates, what the Sunnah of the Messenger of God - peace and blessings be upon him - indicates, and what the consensus of the nation’s predecessors indicates.
Islamic scholars have unanimously agreed that God is in heaven above the throne, above all creation, and the direction in which He is is the direction of highness, which is above all creation. These questions are not an innovation, and we have not forbidden them. Rather, these questions are commanded to be taught to people, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, asked about them. He said: Where is God? Abu Razin asked him: Where is our Lord? So tell him that he is in the highest, peace be upon him, for God, peace be upon him, is in the highest, in the sense of being high above the heavens, above the throne, above all creation, and not on the earth, nor within the earth, nor within the heavens.
