I wanted to clear one thing up. Zhiyun DID send me this light, but there was no expectation for me to make a launch video for it, I'm using a lot of there lights on an upcoming project. But I wanted to throw my honest opinion out there among the onslaught of sponsored videos you're going to see about this little light. KAY BYE
Zhiyun has an app for their lights and I really love it. It’s called ZY Vega. Also, love this video and I’m so excited to see where the industry is headed 🤘
I'm sold, love how small these things are. Great for solo videographers. As great as the amaran lights are they are just so big that is becomes a hasle to set up solo.
I have the Smallrig 450b precisely because its the smallest and lightest for its equivalent, relative (600w) light output. You have that to use when mixing with day light, big windows. 60, 100, 200 watt lights have a different function. I look at this as a possible hair light because its small and light and so much easier to boom with small grip kit. You can light with candles at night or in a blacked out space. This is not a light you put in a sofbox to balance out a massive window of sunlight.
Dude, great vid. I’ve been using these lights myself for a couple months and love them. Question, do your big softboxes actually stay on the bowens adapter securely? Mine fall off with the slightest adjustment
I'm interested in these lights, but I'm on the same page with you about the Aputure/Amaran world. I rely on Sidus Link to control all the lights in my ecosystem. If Zhiyun creates an app to control their ecosystem, I'm game to switch.
This brand is trying to be different but those are the most ridiculous products that they are releasing and it looks like they are designed by somebody who have nothing to do with lights :). Or gear used for work... I have a lot of ideas how all their products can be improved and I am sure that they will see it too if they were actually using them. For example this new light - COB with RGB - great but who needs it to be that small and modular? It can be small and different shape that will allow better cooling, possible integration of Bluetooth module for app support, more precise controls, ... I was hyped in the beginning with their M40 and F100 releases and than after the hype went away I saw the drawbacks especially when I tried them for myself. For example the M40 - small 40W light but wait it is weaker than some less powerful and cheaper lights because the chips do not have lenses in front of them and in real world it is kind of important... I see flaws in those new ones too so my advice - wait the hype to go down and look at those products again :).
Normally I would believe this is not a sponsored video but you and Gerald undone posted videos 1 minutes apart about the same product one sponsored and yours not sponsored a Little suspicious to me
Generally there would be something called NDA, which when signed, you will be held responsible or any possible leak before the supposed time. And besides, it simply doesn’t make sense to not catch the first wave to upload when the news its still hot and people are searching up on it.
Bro, almost all YT’ers post at the same time on launch day lol. Whether sponsored or not, posting on launch day is ideal for anyone looking to take advantage of that launch day hype - viewership wise. And even if it were sponsored, people can make genuine, unbiased sponsored videos on products they would actually use. We should support sponsored videos because they are often the reason YT’ers are able to go full time and keep putting out the content we subscribed to see.

Whether they said it or not, they are always expecting a video. Thank you for this comment my friend. Love your videos
They don't expect a video for sending over this light--they expect a video for sending any *future* lights

Bought one. Probably going for the combo with the M20C
Loved this one, I had heard of Zhiyun for their gimbals, but these lights look incredible.
Why did the end get so deep? 😔
Appreciate it tho. I only found you a few months ago, but damn, you are one of my favourite filmmakers now :)
Almost to 100K dude! LEGGOOOOOO

I didn't realize you started breast feeding again. You know that stuff is just for babies, right?
Nice vid, thanks for the putting this together. Regarding the Zhiyun Bowens mount, how secure/stable is it?

Had nothing but issues with the batteries. I have 3 Molus 100 and all 3 batteries died on me after maybe 20 charges.

Zhiyun has had their control app for a minute now
@@EyeofkamauI'm curious how it compares to Sidus Link?

10:02 there is app control :)
biiiiig supporter of taking the skirt all the way up and filling out the entire area
No expert, but I think it’s pronounced more like “Juh-u-n”
