Can the engine reach even higher temperatures (950 or higher)? And will it eventually break down, or is there an auto shutdown system, if the pilots don't take any action?
Hello Magnar! I'm a bit confused about the explanation of ATPCS arming conditions in FCOM. According to FCOM, Uptrim & Autofeather are armed when Pwr Mgt TO, ATPCS pb On, PL>49, TQ>46% and aircraft on ground. But when the aircraft is in flight the conditions are the same except that Autofeather is only armed and not Uptrim. For example during liftoff after Vr, engine flameout occured at 50ft, does that mean there would be no uptrim since the aircraft is considered "in flight" at 50ft above the ground?
When the ATPCS is armed on the ground, it remains armed until the power management selector is moved out of the Take-Off position (TO). Therefore, in case of an engine flameout, you will have uptrim and autofeather.
hello Captain, I have a question about the fuselage of the ATR. On each side of the fuselage close to the propellers i noticed the surface is bulkier, is it because there is cables and tubings underneath of there is another reason why! thank you.
