and the crypto ult breaks all traps places + the catalyst is so smart coz you can bunker the rooms for alter ult to get back to

That's because you don't really know where the enemies are until cryptos ult pops and you're in Alter queue which is like a second to coordinate everyone and that's practically impossible
it works well when he plays with eeth and serialcat, hyzeq and Pan were filling in for scrims so the chemistry wasnt there
@@luckorski1181I feel like they should all agree to always push and kill the closest person or like make a decision to all swing left no matter what and I think that could help. Like when they pushed the world's edge building, the catalyst went alone to the right and crypto and the other went left lol
teq kinda dies everytime. feel like he's overextending sometimes or just gets flustered

did you watch the full video? the games where he is playing with eeth and serialcat they just roll everyone, hyzeq and pan were just filling in for scrims so they didnt have chemistry
i was watching his stream yesterday and there wasnt a single time they lost the fight after this push. there's even cc players on twitter asking people how to counter getting rolled everytime
Counter is Ashe (or use alter q), this has been rampant on sea server.
This feels like revtane all over again, not sure if this will last in comp, but you will definitely see this in ranked

The first time anybody did bh scan smoke it was smart, now it’s cliche, that’s how it works. If this actually became meta you’d hate it just as much after a year.

@@ryan555.3 Ok I’ll tell you why the crypto emp alter breach combo isn’t actually clever. There is no way to close distance first, and no good way to make micro rotations. It will never be meta, it’s just a gimmick.
@@InceyWinceywell u can use crypto to scan the beacon to know where enemies are at and rotate safely imo and the catalyst wall helps with rotations too

That new legend, 2 weeks after it's release:
Never. I repeat. Never, listen to what a pro has to say about changes in a video game (especially Hal), 99% of the time they will get it wrong.
1: this is challenger circuit and shouldn't be used as proof of concept of viability in competitive. Think back to when Snip3down ran through CC with Mirage in early days.
2: that being said, Hal is almost always a cookie cutter meta riding player. He sees no viability in new legends because he thinks unilaterally in what the current meta is and not how it will evolve or what team dynamic would work well or not with a certain legend. Think of how Furia shocked the world and made a "useless" legend meta with Seer.

Teq deserves a LAN team hes the most slept on IGL. Alter's ult resetting the entire team is as crazy as the push strat.

ngl when it comes to creative comps Teq is in his own league. Got damn that is actually a pretty solid strat if you have a perfectly working team
What's worse about this, the only real counter for that amount of reaction time.. is Alter. Alter will have to move the team through a portal while the EMP is charging up. I suppose Ash could also do it, but it'd require decent line of sight.

I remember posting about this strat on Reddit two days into the new season because my friend mains Crypto and we did it. It completely negates all Caustic and Wattson traps. Glad someone’s actually doing it.
This is how Apex is supposed to be played. Team chemistry and ability combos can be insane when used correctly

Cool play. I think the defending team can counter this by going to the void that alter will create but they must have info on where alter will use the tactical. Maybe blood hound Q when the crypto ult channels.

Feels like respawns either going to,
1: Make it so you can't use alsters ult while knocked.
or
2: You will still take damage from a teammates crypto ult while in phase

this is just like old rev ult to me, if you get knocked you and one teammate is a live for 7 secs you can go back to original portal in a safe area. and there is no audio queue for it. Yet everyone is like ohhhh nice lol.

This comp have similar vibe like Octane Rev but a lot more aggresive
I know Crypto has to be in the Alter Q to avoid the damage, but do you have to be in the Q when the EMP goes off to avoid the stun or can you get stunned, hop in the Alter Q, and have the stun removed? I'm assuming it's the first, but I'm not sure.

This is fucking awesome. From using alter queue to avoid stun and the enemy has to choose to risk batting and hope they get it off before you come in or just eat the ult and try to survive half shield. Awesome concept.
Is it just me or is this just what apex needs. An actually sick combo that requires coordination and timing from the entire team on specific legends. Although I gotta say I think bang, blood, caustic is probably the counter if you are ready for it. Blood to scan where they will tp in from, caustic ult when the crypto ult goes off, and bang smoke to provide an escape or cover to bat.
It's funny no one sees that the current meta comp counters it very well. It's working rn because no one knew this Strat or expected it. After a week of scrims and teams with that comp should be able to counter it pretty well. Once they expect it coming.
I hope we get to see crypto meta it's gonna spice up things and we get to see something different for once...
I don't think we'd ever see crypto meta, majority of pros don't like him and have never used him. Unfortunately he's also useless without his drone too.
Love ere he is, but would personally still want to see a potential buffs:
Mentioned by numerous people, the off the grid, can't be scanned.
Would love that he could grab evo caches with drones but understand this may be a little stretch
Grabbing banners and scanning beacons is touchy sometimes, you have to be directly looking at it and times I've still found, despite spamming the grab button, I don't grab it. Beacons I just wish you could scan from any angle as opposed to only the front.

@@manny_12331 to be honest, I like that he's never part of the meta, I actually hate metas due to everyone using the same legend, it gets boring. Last LAN there was a game where all 20 teams were playing bang, 85% blood, that to me is dumb, theres 20 odd legends and everyone is using the same two, I love seeing different compositions being used.
@@DevinHeida grabbing evo caches would be nice but he's still the best legend to farm evo regardless, you get a 200m bubble around you constantly letting you know whether it's safe to do something, so you can just run around edge with the drone out picking up scans and harvesters

I think that you being able to see the enemy entering the TP is OP, they should nerf that and the counter plan is tank and get a corner aim the TP.
This meta strat is insane hope it changes how algs plays its the same for a while

@@casewolf5666 they could counter the push if they are expecting it. Bloodhound can scan where the tp will come from, caustic can ult near the tp, and bang can provide smokes to pop a bat for a second or smoke the tp to blind the push. Revenant conduit bloodhound could also counter, but that comp probably wouldn’t be good on its own.

This crypto really needs to learn some tech, not once did he heal while droning which is easily one of the strongest things u can do for information since otherwise most time spent in the drone is time wasted
