Loayza Hospital without Emergency Laboratory | Cuarto Poder | Peru
Cuarto Poder returned to the Arzobispo Loayza Hospital where it was able to confirm that the Emergency Laboratory is inoperative and functions as a box warehouse. The Emergency Laboratory was part of the major renovations in January 2024, which included a memorial plaque with the name of the president of Peru, Dina Boluarte, and the Minister of Health, César Vásquez. The reality, however, is that the renovated Emergency Laboratory is not working. What, however, does operate within the hospital is a private laboratory, Laboratorio Yuen, which charges privately and does not recognize SIS patients.
