If the bus filled in Salem they skip Madurai and save one hour. They reach 8.00 am to their original destination Marthandam and 7.15 am to Nagercoil.

How it is possible? Madurai biggest destination more passenger travel from Bangalore

@@kamatchimanoj9333 Entering Madurai consume more timing for any buses. If they go via bypass 14 km short and reduce 1 hr time. So they fill accordingly. Mostly TVM, NGL TNV bound UD buses skips Madurai and save the time. AC difficult to get patronage like UD.

This service is a pretty recommended service on weekends between Bangalore and Nagercoil/Marthandam. The (MG Leera) AC Seater/Sleeper on Bangalore - Nagercoil (evening departure) is also worth considering.
To answer your question about the difference between green SETC buses and white SETC buses - Green SETC buses are pre AIS 052 period, the non AC buses are BS 3 and the AC buses have a BS 4 225 HP CRS engine but technically depicted as a BS 3. The green AC buses do not have as much facilities as white buses, like charging ports for example. White buses have them.
