My best friend was an Asian, I love meeting exchange students, they are shy, but kind, and so sweet
I feel like asians are amazing. Im not asian but I would want a Asian friend. I really enjoy trying different foods and not having the same food again and again, also this would be a good way for me to learn about different cultures and traditions. Having a friend who has a different culture seems pretty amazing. And even if I didn’t like the food from that person culture I would say that it’s not really my taste or I don’t really like it but I happy to try it. This is just my opinion.

As a Foreign Exchange Student i can relate to this. I was bullied for my thick accent and being different. It is very sad how people will treat you differently just because you are not from America.
I honestly really think you are cool because im from America and i really dont have many traditions. Bullies are often made excuses about like " oh they like you" or "oh their just insecure" .

I'm gonna be honest, I'm a Vietnamese and I remembered how once when I went to school the kids pretty much mocked my eyes. They had this song where it goes something like "This is what Chinese look like, This is what Japanese look like, This is what Vietnamese look like." and they would stretch their eyes a LOT to make then look slanted. Then they'd ask me things like "How do you see out of those tiny eyes?" and such. It might not sound offensive, and I dunno if I'm just being senitive but man, that sucked. Because of this, I ended up hating my ethnicity for a while. But I'm fine now though! I hope anyone out there who's also struggling will make it through as well!

As a vietnamese person, if you want to try our food, I recommend Banh Mi. Its a delicious sandwich and one of my favorite foods. Another one of my favorites is Pho soup.

fun fact, eels in japan is critically endangered, so most of the freshwater eel you find in japanese resturants are actually american eels. and salmon isn't usually put on sushi until Norwegians started promoting it to them.

I have a Spanish boy in my class and he couldn’t understand any of us. my teacher had to use a translation thing to talk to him. But over the months he started to learn English! and he even wrote a whole report in English his second language. So impressive. And also we became friends! He is so nice once you get to know him.
