Try, brave and valiant programmer, to start at the furthest pizza establishment in London, and collect one of every pizza, and deliver it to the palace. Though, you are allowed to skip over the boring parts, and make it like you only got the one pizza closest to your destination, and battled the forces of hell and Margaret Thatcher combined to get it to the dining room or whathave-you while still hot.

i feel like the animations could be adjusted to better suit all angles. they seem to be adjusted to more closely resemble their 2d counterparts, but the thing with 2d focused animation is that theres lots of things that are included that *only* work in 2d. peppino's arms are waaay back to leave more space to show off the body and make it more obvious and simple, but in 3d, there wouldnt be a need to do that because you can already look in any angle you want. especially when your camera is mostly facing the back/front of peppino, which makes these 2d oriented poses feel super weird.
I'm loving the movement set so far! I notice the level design is mostly just pizza tower 2D, except the camera is moved behind the player: you run straight forward almost the entire time with 1 or 2 turns in the whole map. I'm excited to see the interesting potential that 3D movement can offer levels!

This is exactly the sort of stretchy zany art style I'd expect from 3D Pizza Tower, and it actually looks like something I'd play in the 2000's. Like something I'd download from Nickelodeon.
yooo this looks amazing especially the movement and animations they look just as good as the og game but I've got an interesting idea. so what if you made this game have the tower be like a big hub world like the castle in Mario 64, and all the levels your gonna do be like big sand boxes like Mario 64 where you've gotta search for the toppin's around the level and do parkour and puzzles. Then once you find pillar john you go back to the entrance but with light changes and blocked off places to make it a bit more interesting possibly even locking it into first person (idk about lap 2 maybe a secretish room that's not too hard to find I guess) and then you get scored at the end. So all of this is just an idea and if you think your up to it even if this stays as a demo you could try the stuff I said but to a much smaller scale unless you actually do wanna make a whole game (Also maybe if your meant to wall jump the camera should pan to a sideways view to make it easier like sonic boost games)
I think if you could manage to make a drift of some kind it would really help with directionality - turning in 3D, making some transitions flow nicely, make turning around feel more organic, etc.
While the camera perspective might require some creativity in emulating pizza tower stage design, I do have to admit seeing pizza face breathe down your neck in the TV view is both clever and pretty terrifying.

god dang. nvm the level design and animations for now which can be refined later on, but a FIRST PERSON view of Peppino? im sold. the tv screen is almost resembling those gopro face cams though the expressions are now consistent to the main model instead of a separate face like the base game. im not sure how will the 'drift' mechanic will work in a full fledged 3d world and not just a 3d linear platformer level (depends) - either a stop-aim-go or straight up a car-like drift which happens if u turn too fast; or the same ol' full reverse like in the original. as for the camera work, for a meth fueled goofy ahh game the FOV might need some widening like in ultrakill, and if you feel inclined, an immersive camera which instead of following along peppino's direction, it is consistent with his own eyes so if he rolls, the camera rolls; similar to mirror's edge. one at a time before u reach its potential man, keep it up!
I will say, the camera does need work and id love to see the tv screen on the top right be a 3d vetsion of the tv screens in game, but so far this is REALLY promising!!
