  • This is a real classroom lecture on Differential Equations. I covered section 7.1 which is on the Definition of the Laplace Transform. I hope this video is helpful to someone. These lectures follow the book A First Course in Differential Equations by Dennis Zill. This is a great book for learning differential equations. Here is the book amzn.to/4ajOMyW (affiliate link).

@@TheMathSorcerer Yes! Before I saw your videos, I was having such a hard time confusing my ”5’s” with ”s” and vise verse, I tried using another variable for s, but it just made everything so complicated. When I saw you introduce the cursive ”s,” I was like, 🤯🤯 ”that’s genius! Duh!”... Long story short, thank you and if student’s give you a hard time maybe just let them know that it saves tons of headaches from later on mistaking a 5 and and a in future problems or possibly on a test.

Whenever you say f(x) has to be piece wise continuous isn't that implied by the integral sign since a integral has to have a finite number of discontinuities and is therefore a piece wise continuous function? Oh rafel is so cool, and he did a beta the nice way lol. This is used in survival analysis, since its an analysis that is based around time to event data. Now ill actually understand what i was reading hopefully :P
Last edit lol, kernels are used in data science a lot to represent the transformation (just like this is as well) from one dimention of data to another. IE with SVM you can transform the data into higher dimentions with the kernel! haha funny.
