also when i was making the sort i didnt realise tht the sifting section would end up in a reverse-esque type shape which is very unoptimal for insertion sorts. I plan to make a better version that doesn't do that

Reminds me of a mix between a block sort, bubble sort. and a radix sort. Those sawtooth inputs were rough, though. Pretty sure that's when O is the worst case for this algorithm

i now understand how max heapifying works, a reversed array is technically already a ma heap, so you dont need to heapify it again.
