- I joined the army a year ago from today (a 6-month mandatory military service). It wasn't the best year ever but I had a lot of different experiences. So this year, I wanted to give myself a birthday gift and made a cover for this song called "Sea of Miracles" from my favorite composer in the world, Yoko Kanno.
It is the opening theme for the anime series "Record of Lodoss War". The singer is the awesome Maaya Sakamoto. It has a tribal theme but I feel like I'm traveling through space. Through time. Through dimensions, heavens, everything.
Played by ear, but music sheet will come in the future!

It's my childhood. Records of Lodess wars was hands down the best fantasy anime to ever be made.
I'm blown away. Kiseki no Umi is one of my favorite songs from any medium, and I never thought that taking the lyrics OUT and adding violin would make it even BETTER somehow.
You brought fond memories back to me, and then my tears.
My daughter just recently took up violin and my wife is learning with her. I need to show them this!

Well, this may sound strange, but when I was listening to the song I started to cry, and that is something that only happens when I feel someone plays an instrument and a song from the heart, like trying to say something sincere from heart to heart to the person behind the screen. After seeing the video, I read the description and everything fell into place. It's beautiful that you transmit your feelings through music; I personally think that music is a universal language, a language that allows everyone to express themselves and that everyone else understands, so thank you, thank you for sharing your feelings by this beautiful song.

I loved the original song and opening...and the violin is by far my most favorite musical instrument. You took a song that's already a masterpiece and then turned it into something even more special and wonderful by soloing it with a beautiful instrument that is the violin! For some reason, to me violin's always make music just that much more epic!
