Anyone who has not seen the game should try to watch a video with all the highlights because the variety and quality of Alcaraz's points has been impressive
and he didnt even play his best....Love Carlos
The slice down the line was wicked full display of talent this young man
@@lilnickydabaddest3451 Yeah, that one was vicious af, incredible.
Yes highlights are missing the counter drop shot!

Lost to Berrettini in January
Beat Berrettini in February
Lost to Nadal in March
Beat Nadal in May
Lost to Korda in April
Beat Korda in May
That's all his losses from this year, and he is clearly learning something when he loses. It's truly impressive.
Seems he's played Berrettini a lot already. Probably even more if Berrettini didnt have the hand injury 💀
thats acutally crazy
are you thinking drugs?
Carlos also beat Djokovic at Monte Carlo and hopefully he do the same in the French open ☺️
Beat an injured Nadal
Alcaraz is looking like he can do whatever he wants with the ball. He seems damn near unstoppable
ONLY GOD IS UNSTOPPABLE
@@radieschen79 your mom knows
The tennis court should be minimized so that all the returns are made as volleys. It's way too large for two players. Our planet Earth is now full of humans. Then why not decrease the size of the court? When the regular tennis court was established, the world's population was merely 1.2 or 1.3 billion. Now it's 8 billion. Shame on you peopleㆍㆍㆍ
@@teletranoats7491 he must be a god.
Just wait to match against Novak..
This dude is so amazing. I haven't seen someone so talented and so ballsy in many years. Total legend
@Rafa Undisputed goat the troll is back!
I would like to see Rafa win another one but the odds are against him.
@Rafa Undisputed goat he is the only one to stop him
Can’t get over how quickly Alcaraz adjusts his body at 0:20, to be able to get that sort of power from his forehand after being so far out of position is astonishing, and the winner straight afterwards wasn’t half bad either.
Must admit, the power surprised me.
That shot impressed me too. The elegance with which he adjusted his body reminded me of Federer.
@@Joseph-co7uh yes definitely! The seemingly nonchalant style of it is just breathtaking, what a talent he is
The advantage of a compact backswing
yeah, I had to rewatch that point a couple of times, and tbh I still don't get how that's possible
He's not just playing well. He's got it all: forehand, backhand, serve and volley, drop shots. Sometimes it's like watching a blend of Roger and Rafa. Astonishing!
Rafa will test his backhand
@@dubnation2379 I guess Nadal will always be the safest bet to win a GS on clay, but it's overwhelming to watch a player like Alcaraz. I'm certain it will be an epic match if both can achieve the semifinals.
Alcaraz is not a tennis player. He's a steam roller. Flattening everyone who comes in his way.
"blend of Roger and Rafa" and Djoker's speed n defensive skill
Can't see that much of Roger here. More like Novak and Rafa.
This guy is a miracle for the sport of tennis
@Rafa Undisputed goat this guy and nole can deafeat Rafa it will be tough for Rafa to win but I hope he wins it
@Rafa Undisputed goat Vamos Rafa but VAMOSH ALCARAZ
he sure is, after a long time of two lackluster generations.
Honestly. I mean he's got all the weapons. Usually feels like a video game combo when he uses his forehand to keep them at the baseline, follows it up with a dropshot, and then if he's opponent is lucky to get there, finishes the job with a lob. Wtf🤯
Thanks you for including the handshake and celebration. Makes it more enjoyable to watch.
Agreed! So tired of the whiney boy, sore loser antics.
This match was a great example of how much Carlos learns from match to match.
Can you explain why?
100%
bs korda just didn't take his breakpoint opportunities. On another day he takes them just like monte carlo
@@ericryu3712 A lot more controlled both emotionally and on risk margins (compared to previous round). As aggressive, but more intentional with shot selection and serve (compared to previous match v. Korda in Montecarlo)
@@ghsense2626 Sometimes it's not that you don't take the break points, but rather that they won't let you 😉
This can be made an instructional video for advanced players. Exceptional demonstration of Alcaraz's movement and preparation before he strikes the ball, the foundation which builds his game on. Kick serve, wicked lobs, and deceptive drop shots are marvelous to watch.
People are still complaining that "he fists the air too much" like what?
the positions he can hit the ball from are so unorthodox. so many times it looks like he's taking a shot too close to the body or too far behind him only for it to whip around with incredible spin or cut low across the net and you realise he knew exactly what he was doing. A joy to watch, and has the mental strength to grind out his B game when the explosive theatrics aren't at full strength that day, which is what separates the strongest players from the rest.
Fed in his prime had this same ability.
@@fractalinfect3454 The young Fed played faster, not lasting too many shots. It made him unique.
This. The kid squirms like a cat.
Fed is only unique, distinct player ever. Fed is Avatar of God as a tennis player. There will be one & only fed. Alcaraz plays a game nearer to fed's ability( when both were 19 years old) . Alcaraz plays a better game than a 19-20 year old nadal and a much ,much better game than a 21-22 year old djoko.
@@mahalakshmid8613 Teenage Nadal was the best in terms of abilities. Alcaraz is quite close as well. Federer hit his prime in his early 20s, he was no where near to the level of Nadal or Alcaraz at 19.
What a Beast, looking so good and really strong out there on the court!
Young but very determined to win in every game. He may still need to practice and experience more to be like others, experienced and seasoned players. Very talented, humble and lovable player.
Great Sportsmanship hug at the end of the match! It looked genuine, Bro’!
These younger ones are classier than the Medvedev, Tsitsipas and Zverev gen with their shenanigans. I see it with Sinner and FAA too, very respectful and good sports
All the top players hitting their stride, the tail end of this tournament will be mega!
I just love him, my favourite tennis player right now! ♥
Pleasure to watch Carlos playing like this!So talented,so good,a glamorous player!Hats down...
Carlos refuses to be just another flash in the pan. He wants to be great and it's not just in his game he already has that champion's gaze.
@Rafa Undisputed goat lol, most won't succeed, but only one will change history.
Alcaraz just lost, he flashed the pan
He is a show! This kid has everything! I am at a loss for words.
That last shot! OMG love it!😍
A new tennis era is upon us and it will only get better. There is no stopping him now. Maturity, Mental Toughness, Skill, Tactics, Precision, Offense and Defense, heck, he's a combination of all things every great tennis player has. And he's only 19 years old.
3-minutes video for this match is really ridiculous. We, the audience, deserve more.
I seriously see the future of tennis in him 🔥..
Carlos Alcaraz will be the new grand slam champ this time.. believe it.. he is inevitable..
Va a ser muy grande Carlitos! Muchas bendiciónes! Se lo merece
Alcaraz, much like the big 3, gets better each round, and recovers quickly after close battles. If he plays like this in the next rounds (which he will), he's going to be tough to beat. Djokovic and Nadal can beat him, but it will be tough.
Yeah I think it's 50-50% ... Any of them can win right now..
Both of them just lost to him on the same surface in a row. Wouldn’t say “they can beat him” is so assured
Yeah, I don't think he's ready to beat either nadal or djokovich in 5 sets, ....but it's possible...
He’s doing what tsitsi needs to do
@@davitchkuaseli234 Nadal or Novak will be more tired than Alcaraz if the match goes to a 5th Set.
He is such an intelligent player with a variety of shots.
Alcaraz simply has too much talent for one single person. That’s enough for 2 people to share.
@Rafa Undisputed goat You are so friggin' annoying spouting that same line over and over and over on all these tennis videos. Your worship of "Almighty Rafa", exposes you as very foolish! If he wins, great for him. If he loses, what do you plan to do? Hunt down the player who defeats him and cause bodily harm to him?
How many people think Carlos Alcaraz is going to be the next legendary tennis player of this generation?
Who's the first?
Anyone who has seen him for more than 5 matches and understands a little about tennis knows it.
No doubt he is very good, but he is too physical & that's not sustainable.
It's not a matter of thinking. It's damn obvious!
This one believes that Alcaraz is playing really really well right now, but we shall see. Sooner or later, the other players will catch up to him but this one believes that Alcaraz's upside is higher than Sinner or Musetti. However, Korda has gotten considerably better so be on the lookout for him to make more noise.
I Will be honest and i am not kidding few things impress me in life... This kid hits the best forehands that i Saw in years probably the best one on tour at this moment and his serve for his height its unreal
Monster. relentless stuff. The guy on fire
This man is a living highlight reel.
Alcaraz has every shot in the book, and then into the appendix.
The way he is playing - will be amongst top 3 very soon.. Pretty impressive for his age...
Carlitos had a scare in the previous round but he seems to have learned from that. For me both he and Swiatec are the ones to watch.
No one is taking iga down rn
@Rafa Undisputed goat Que loca.
Búscate un trabajo.
A SCARE ? HE WAS ONE POINT FROM DEFEAT.........NOW IF A NOBODY IS ONE POINT FROM DEFEATING THE ARROGANT IMAGINE WHAT THE BIG PLAYERS WILL DO TO HIM.
The adjustments along with shot making of this guy is truly impressive !! Vamos champ❤️
rafael nadal 🎾 ❤
Age is most important ,Alcaraze will win if 5 sets played with Nole or Nadal.
Dude he is on fire. His ground strokes are on point and brutal. He will be #1 soon enough
step by step, he keeps acquiring the experience, proficiency and mastery in each tournament whatever the type of tourney is, he will keep upgrading his resilience and adaptability in the subsequent periods. Wishing Alcaraz good luck!
He will succeed the big 3.
At this point in time it looks like only an injury could stop him.
Very impressive!
Perfect match. Better than the round before 👍🏻
He keeps getting better after every match.. I know it's hard to win this big tournament with Rafa and djoko. But I'm hoping he'll win it.
i love alcarez but Rune and Gaston are also tough to deal with along with sinner. so nadal and dvoka are while they are favored and rightfully so. they are far frfom a lock in my opinion. lets not forget about rublev
I know it's hard but Djokovic and Nadal won't do any better. They are 35 and 36 years old, almost doubling Alcaraz's age. If there are no upsets, Djokovic and Nadal will play QF, the winner play agaist Zverev/Alcaraz in the SF. The final will be probably against Medvedev. This is hard even for tennis gods Djokovic and Nadal.
@@berryesseen, I don't think so. I can see Kecmanovic beating Medvedev the next round. And quite easily, in fact.
@@robert111k even is med wins he’ll lose to tsitsipas easily

The slap on his forehand is just unreal, he gets it with such relaxed motion and the wrist. OK I will try it tomorrow hopefully I don't break my wrist.
This is currently my favorite player. His amazing shots are something special. Carlos , I'd like to see you lifting a cup in RG, if Hubi doesn't. Greetings from Poland !!!
I Hope so. I admire him.
Carlos is definitely on a mission! May new fave for this tournament. Cant think of anyone beating him.
Nadal or Nole, Tsitsipas even meddy can do the damage just w8
@@gerdietv3149 Nadal or Nole, but I disagree about Tsitsipas and Medvedev.
how could you leave out the beautiful slice drop shot and a couple of those carved volleys?
Good to see them hug at the end.. Great Sports. Love them.
The handshakes at the net after the match are often hugs i noticed, other players seems to really respect him often. His attitude is something guys like zverev, tsitsipas and rublev can learn alot from.
Score line aside, that was some beautiful tennis.
OMG!! That was simply amazing!! WOW!!
I’m going to watch the full match tomorrow on Prime Video.
Even his shot that won the match was a worldy 🤯
He's got so much air in his lungs right now. Fabulous show of tennis.
Carlos has undoubtedly the most exciting game!
What a match from Alcaraz, he's really picked up from his last match! Vamos Alcaraz!
Can you believe that several tv commentators picked Korda to win the match? Ridiculous.
@@jeffreykaufmann2867 I think that those predictions would have been solely because of how he played in the previous round, but Alcaraz would never go easy. He was bound to pick up his level sooner rather than later.
@@juliancp6912 it was based on his first match which he almost lost. But if he gets better with every game he could take out Khachanov and Zverev in Straight Sets.

Alcaraz was just showing off in the last set. So many ridiculous shots as if he's in practice having fun
Alcaraz's greatest enemy is himself. He can beat anyone as he has already shown and on a bad day he can lose to anyone. But he is a beast and one of the most complete players with the best head. He always fights to the end and never gives a point for lost. In an interview on TV he said that to close the matches he used to say to himself.... Carlitos now you have to win with a spectacular hit. That's ambition!
😅😅😅😅
With that precission, power and confidence he can beat anyone. He's probabbly top 3 in the world right now.
I think he is already the number one
In the race he is close 2nd to Rafa so you could say top 2.
He’s number 1
Number 1 on clay I would say because he even beat Djokovic who beat Nadal at Roland Garros. He already beat the likes of Tsitsipas, Korda, etc.
@@mohi3846 are you saying Djokovic and Alcaraz are both better than Nadal on clay? Lol what
I can see him in the final, if the hypothetical match against Nadal/Djoko happens in the semis, either one of those will be a bit burnt by it and Carlitos, the way he is going will be fresh and on top form. What a tournament!
@Rafa Undisputed goat Do you have nothing better to do???
His IQ and mentality is top class! Bright future ahead for this boy.
I first saw Alcaraz when he played Ruud in the Miami final. I was cheering for Ruud, but couldn't help being impressed by Carlos. He was 18 at the time, and showed no real weaknesses in his game. Future number one!
His coach wasn't even moved. He like, on to the next Carlos. The real fight is in that semi-finals and finals lol.
@Rafa Undisputed goat it would be incredible if Rafa did. But I really think it will come down to djokovic or alcaraz. Rafa has said he has an injury.

Alcaraz's footwork to get his forehand into play reminds me of a certain Roger Federer in his prime. Especially the first two forehand winners are so typical of Federer.
Carlos os symply AMAZING. The level of tennis of Korda today was impressive, it's very difficult play better...and what happened? He lost in straight sets. So imagine the level of Alcaraz....buf. No words, watch and enjoy.
The match was a pleasure to watch and was closer than the score would indicate.

I have never seen anything like this and I have been watching tennis since the times of Boris Becker and Steffi Graf.
Really now. Mmmm Ive been watching tennis since the early 70’s and that’s nearly 50 years! This boy is the next BIG THING after the BIG THREE!!
Good recovery from last match! Sucked Korda’s soul by the third. Vamos indeed.
Alcaraz did such a great drop shot, right after one tried by Korda, that should be on the vídeo

insane. he hits the ball so HARD!
Alcaraz might just be the perfect player, I can't see any weakness.
there is no weakness that i see. they way he moves around the court and makes these rapid adjustments is crazy
He is short (1m82, the official size on ATP is incorrect, since he is shorter at the net than all of the 1m83 players, and quite a bit shorter than Nadal. Because of this, he doesn't have a big wing span, this is an issue when he has to hit a backhand on a stretch compared to a Djokovic or even Nadal.
@@pureffm he is a bit shorter than Nadal. Not that significant. He has incredibly long arms for his height. That is a major factor in his reach and ball velocity.
@@krishnancom Nadal is 1m85, Alcaraz is 1m82 based on 10 or so cross-comparisons since the beginning of the year, some even say 1m80 but I think it is 1m82. ¡¡Vamos Carlitos!!
Very impressive, especially after the excruciatingly close shave last time out. I wonder if this is going to be young Alcaraz's first slam - a Novak-Rafa QF definitely helps his chances.
Mostly I think it's a question of reading the conditions and the opponent. Most of tennis is tactical at this point.
