Sculpted over Thanksgiving weekend, I know you guys aren't super hot over time lapses but I ran out of time. I should have plenty to spare in the coming months, so the next videos should have commentary/breakdowns as audio!

Hi, I really appreciate you getting inspired by my work enough to make a 3d model of it. It looks very cool! However, before making monetized videos based on my art I would be very grateful if you could ask for my permission. I would also appreciate it if you at least made it a bit more clear in the video itself, and the thumbnail, that this is not your concept. I can even see some videos in which you didn't credit the artists which is not okay. Giving proper, visible credit to the artists won't take away from your skills in any way. I hope you'll understand!
Hello, I'm so sorry! I didn't have any nefarious intention, I just thought I was making 3d fanart and monetizing a video showing the 3d process and didn't realize I was taking anything from you. I demonetized and changed the title. I also removed your artwork from the thumbnail as per your IG story suggested. I can't, however, edit the video or audio. If this is an issue, I can delete the video, just let me know.
Again, I'm very sorry. Let me know if there is anything else I can do.
@@BranSculpts Thanks so much for taking it into consideration, I really appreciate it! In any case it’s a really nice model and I’m happy I inspired you!
@@magdalina.dianova most peaceful resolution of unintentional copyright infringement in human history right here. Two people thinking completely rationally and reasonably. I absolutely would have made the same slipup of monetizing the video not emphasizing credit to the original drawing artist without their permission without even realizing that I had done it. Likewise, the drawing's artist has completely valid concerns, and understandably so. What sets this interaction apart from most others in similar situations is that everyone was very reasonable, open, and understanding of the opposite party. Both worked towards a solution that they thought was fair, remaining respectful and friendly towards each other the entire time. The end result says a lot about the character of both parties. In the long run, upholding one's character is far more important than financial gain, and it is refreshing to see members of the art community living by that standard. The drawing and the model are both wonderful, but to me, this interaction is definitely the most impressive. Serious respect to both of you!!
@@magdalina.dianova Can't you just split the monetarisation money 50:50? Right now both of you aren't profiting from the hours you put into this.
it's a nice drawing!
i like how you turned the hair from 2D->3D, that's a clever use of shapes
Oh man, curves are a godsend for stylized hair! I'm still no good with the particle system hair 😕
OH MY GOODNESS !! This is my first time watching somebody sculpt a character in 3D.. and this looks incredibly professional !! You should be proud, great work !! 🤍✨️
Tysm!!!
my favorite part is when the overall model is "complete" and then you can just keep going adding more and more minor details to make it absolutely perfect.
I really like your workflow! And I am amazed at the speed of your progress, inspiring!
Thank you so much!
It was amazing, even with the speed up
It's very endearing that you try to respond to nearly every comment. Thank you, also, for providing so much information in the description; I really appreciate the attention to detail!
Thanks! I figured you guys took the time to watch and comment, it's almost unfair not to reply 😆
Amongst the many 3d artists, your way of sculpting characters, from blockout to very creative ways of making hair, it's so easy to understand. Hope one day you could make a tutorial
Thanks! I hope to get around to making one soon!
Just watch at .25 playback speed. The music os creepy but its emo asfk
@@TheTubejunky xDD
Wow... this is truly amazing. I've never really touched art of any kind, let alone 3d modelling, and I have such a deep respect for the amount of time something like this takes.
Thank you so much 😀
Even trying to make cartoony 3d character models take hours. Respect to 3d animators and artists
This feels like a character in an animated show I love the design.
I am still not fully sure what it was about this but it made me cry. Subbed.
Haha aww ty
I LOVE this! Inspirational work, as usual
Ty!! 💖
Like the previous comments you are an amazing digital sculptor! Thanks for sharing! And please keep sharing your wonderful tutorials!
WOAH your art style is incredible!!
Hi! This is Magdalina's drawing. The style isn't mine, I'm just recreating the image in 3d ;)
The goat is back, your method blows my mind every time lol
thanks! baaaaha
I LOVE THIS ART STYLE OML
One time i had a dream (still have) that i could make amazing 3D animations, characters and whatever. But now I’m here watching cool blender time lapses of cool characters :’)
You can do it! I watched a lot of tutorials and timelapses until I finally bit the bullet and started trying it out. As long as you don't get discouraged and stick to it, you'll do OK. I'm around 8 months in rn and I'm loving it!
I try drawing 30 minutes a day, hopefully longer soon. Sometimes I get a measly 10, but any practice is better than none.
@@BranSculpts Only 8 months, and you're already so good? I checked out your previous videos and you seem to have some experience with 2d art, which might've helped with learning 3d modeling, but it's still crazy that in such small amounts of time one can make such great 3d models! Edit: I just saw your video about the one month progress of learning blender! I saw it when it was uploaded and it inspired me to learn some blender, though unfortunately after some time I quit, its more inspiring to see you have improved so much more!
It's totally doable, man! I hit it real hard that first month, but had to rein it in to doing 1 sculpt a month because of work, so it's not like it's going to eat up all of your personal time. You should definitely get back at it! ;)
Hello Bran,
Two a month is already major. I am creating models for gamedev. Meaning the rigging has to be exact and the hair cannot be done like you do it (also no cheating like Ryuko ^^).
Meaning I am a lot slower. Your sculpts are actually really nice. I drew, created mods, played guitar. You can always learn something and get good. Do not let others discourage you.
Please don't burn out.
Kind regards
Thanks man! good luck on your journey! and be sure not to burn out as well!!!~
this looks great dude. really progressing hard!
Thanks!
Your style is so amazing! You make it look so easy 😅
The hard part is having the time to sculpt! :P
She looks like she is made of clay and yet she is just too perfect to be, beautifully lit, sculptured work.
this thing require alot of work and hardiness, appreciate it
I am so in love with this character.
That's sick
nice, i love it
Thank you! Cheers!
Very cool. I used to model many years ago as a hobby using Maya and Zbrush. Im getting back into it but I've opted to go for free to use software since it looks to have most of what I want now. This is very inspiring.
I haven't had a chance to try out Maya or Zbrush, I went for blender because it was free and most of the 3d tutorials I find are always blender. Glad to hear your back to it! Gl! 🤘
amazing ! lot of hours of work !
Thank you!
amazing as always
Thank you! Cheers!
我好爱这样子随心所欲的创作过程,虽由人作,宛如天开!
I love this creative process, which is amazing!
What does being a man have to do with it?
@@Bird_b0nes when people say " man" or " by man" they don't mean guys specifically. It means humans in general. Referring to everyone. This person likes the 3d sculpture created by a person
It’s so pretty! Your so talented
Thanks!
Woo!! Another video!
Haha ikr! I'm so slow at these! 😆
Fantastic
Thanks!
Did you ask the artist permission to use her art for a monetized video? Just wondering...
no, but I'm trying to make it right.
@@BranSculpts No worries! I was genuinely just wondering, as long as you get to sort things out with the artist it's all cool 😊
It looks amazing, fantastic work.
Thank you very much!
well this is crazy
This is some really good style. Hope to see for the tutorial >w
Este hombre debería trabajar con Disney👌
Professionally done👏👏
Wow thanks!
Became my new background 🔥🔥
as they said... a yes, A FUCKING MASTERPIECE!!!
😭😭thanks!a
bro i think i got a mentor. bro that sculpt is incredible
Yo thanks!!
My mind is blown
Good job looks real good👍this is a reason to subcribe
Yoo thanks man! 😀
how do you make the armature look like arrows and such? do you have a preset or something? seems
Awesome work
ty!

Good stuff !
Timestamps for me:

Haha mine too! 😵💫
Bro, i really love your work
thanks, man!
Very unique style of creating hair, genius.I hope we get a tutorial
I'm working on it 🙂
Amazing!
Thank you! Cheers!
A master at work. But I wonder how long before AI can do this
Amazing artwork!🎉❤👍💪💕
I love your 3D art so much! Thank you for sharing your process :D
My pleasure 😊 and thanks!
Wow! This is amazing!!
That's really inspiring, very cool!
great workflow!
Thanks!
Pretty cool. You make it look easy.
This is so cool. I aspire to be able to do this one day. Keep up the good work!
Ty!
nice man.
Thanks!
So talented, great job!
ty!
This is such a good work!! I really love this, you're cool
Woah, fantastic mate. I wish I could do that, sadly I am only good at 2d art and completely ripping from games their materials and models and using it for my own gain.
You're so good T___T
Thanks for the file. I want to try to do something in this style
Np man, have fun!
Wow ! Very Nice ❤❤
This is interesting
So cool! Love it 💚💛💙
Honestly I like your workflow
Thanks! It seems to be working out so far. I keep trying new things to maybe cut some time off of the sculpt.
i wished when i used bones it would work this well. Every time i try to pose with bone i fail
The problem why I can't replicate this is, ultimately sooner or later you need to be able to sculpt and translate between 2D and 3D or vice versa - which is something I can't do any more than I can fly with my bare hands.
I have trouble figuring it out sometimes. Good references help a whole lot. And breaking things down into more simple shapes.
This as a tutorial!! Id pay good money for the rigging tutorial alone :)
Oh there's nothing fancy going on with the rig. It's just the default basic rigify rig that comes with blender, parented with automatic weights
I like the way you did hair, how much time did that take
the entire sculpt? ~12 hours. The hair? way too long :S
Das ist so cool 🤩 Ich Wünschte das ich das auch könnte und meine eigene OC's in 3D erstellen 😮💨
Incrível, Parabéns pelo trabalho duro.
Ty!
This gets CRAZY AT .25 SPEED! TRY IT.
lol creepy music too!
Can you plz make a workflow tutorial?
I'll try later this month when I get some extra time freed up
Incrível 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
👋
이런식으로도 모델링 할 수 있구나...세상은 넓고 고수는 너무 많다ㄷㄷ
So you don't use dyntopo and maintain a quad topology?
This looks amazing, is it possible to get the real time footage?
Set the speed to .25 . That will make it similar to realtime
@@ELAZA thank you hehe
The real-time recording hits around 12 hours and is 20-ish gb. I don't have anywhere to upload files that large. Haha I also have metered internet and only get 40 gb a month for tethering 😵💫
@@BranSculpts Thank you for replying, maybe via Gumroad and when you find a cafe or hotel that'll allow you to upload, could be an interesting idea, maybe a source of money too
Just a bit slower, keep that music and u got the perfect tuto :P
P.s the music is awesome if u relax and work on something like Blender
very cool, what application to make anime like this ?
Hi! This is Blender 3d. It's free to download, so check it out!
Are u doing it without graphic pad?
Yes, I'm using a Cintiq 16, but everything I did in the video is doable with just a mouse!
Wow this is a amazing sculpting video! Im kinda interested to do sculpting characters sometime too
I hope you make a tutorial. Great job!
I'll try and figure something out soon. I'm going to end up with some more free time later next month
Hello, i have a small question. Do you need to do any type of career or studies for 3D modeling or only practice and skill for getting hired on a job?
Hi! I started watching tutorials on UA-cam around 9 months ago. Not looking to get hired, just learning for fun. But from what I've gathered, if your looking to get an art related job, your portfolio matters more than formal education.
Your creations are very beautiful. Can you tell me what software is used to create this?
Thanks! I use Blender3d
Just curious, do you sculpt your models with a mouse or stylist? I have an iPad Pro, but not a Wacom for my PC. Been wondering if I’ll need to try to connect it to my pc via a 3rd party app or if I can just use my mouse.
I use a cintiq 16. There are some sculpting apps for the ipad you could try!
video says you only posted this 6 months ago but i feel like i saw this model already years before. either this is an oldie you only posted a timelapse now or I am having a Mandela effect.
I sculpted this near the end of November last year. Maybe someone else did a sculpt of the same reference?
Deja Vu
what pc spec do you have? for blender?
Hi! I have all of my pc stuff listed in the vid description 😃
nice...
I wanted to learn how to make characters like that...
Do you recommend any videos? I only know the basics of BLender.
Wow brother ..rispek
Haha ty
@Bran Sculpts , if you have a paid full tutorial on how to sculp like that give me a link. I want to sign up. Your stuff is amazing!
Haha I don't have anything rn. I plan on making some more in depth tutorial-like videos soon tho for yt
