As someone who plays blindfold chess on occasion, i have to give her props. She played really well even if near the end she was struggling to remember all of the pawns. Truly a testament to how strong these masters are.
As a 2100 rated chess player (similar to Anna) I have to say it is pretty hard to play endgamish types of positions when blindfloded. In the opening and early middlegame you can navigate based on pawn structure, weak squares, open files and diagonals, but when a lot of pieces trade we saw her struugle because the board is kind of empty and it's hard to visualise the distatnes between different pieces. When it is a complete endgame and both sides have only 1 piece, it's easier again.
Amazing how she can have a picture of a chessboard in her head this entire time, It must take a ton of focus. I'm also impressed by Wirtual, pretty skilled for a beginner. He would probably beat me easily.
Its not that difficult for master players. Not because it isnt impressive and amazing, but to emphasize how good you have to be to reach master, their visualization abilities and memory are crazy.
No matter how many times I see people play chess blindfolded its still just as incredible...as someone who doesn't play the game more than a few times a year I can't begin to even consider the memorization required
Wirtual is getting pretty sure (expected when you have a high level coach like Anna), but still amazing progress. Seeing the Kg3 into checkmate idea is a good sign that Wirtual has good vision on positions in endgames, which is a skill that is very hard to teach.
Every time I see profesional do something like this, it reminds me, how much effort they had to put into it. I wonder, do they remember position of each piece on the board, or do the just calculate each move based on the previous one, like they remember all the moves and they can go bak in their mind like Wirtual did in 8:00.
Wirtual played pretty well, probably would’ve beaten me with some difficulty, but Anna is fucking insane, I would’ve been completely lost by like the 4th move
Wirtual just has chemistry with any girl that he talks to, and im not even shipping them, so dont be weird. Also i gotta give credit to wirtual, he’s definitely not a bad player even if hes playing against a blindfolded player, but even still that “blindfolded player” is Anna Cramling who’s a womans FIDE master with a rating of 2175 so i’d assume her blindfolded rating is still in the high thousands like 1650-1800
At 8:00, what stops Anna from capturing the rook on e5 for an even trade such as 1. Ne3+, Kf3? 2. Nxd1, fxe5? I don't see how it wins a rook for Wirtual.

Now do Anna vs blindfolded Wirtual in a Trackmania race
Yeahhhhh! Do it! Do it!
In one of those which he was already racing blindfolded. Let's see how many author times he and she can get in the campaign.
The crossover I never knew I needed, but the one I can't wait to see 👍

STAY STRONG ELENSAR!! WE BELIEVE IN YOU AND OTHER EDITORS!!
My mom was Swedish and my dad was Norwegian. They had the best banter. These two remind me of them ❤
RIP Elensar... good vid though. Always happy to watch some Wirtual.
I cant even remember what my last move was when I'm not blind folded. This is so impressive and why you are going to win Pogchamps5 div 2!
He is going to win cause she is blind folded ?
These guys flow off each other really easily. Great Video!
Anna is such a sweet person. love that she and wirtual work together for pogchamps :)
Absolutely love when Anna's like "I'm paranoid my king is on G1 because then you'd have checkmate", and Wirtual just sits there losing his mind.
This is a crossover I did not expect, but I like it!
Watching this live was so exciting
The most impressive thing I’ve ever seen!! I’ve downloaded Trackmania on console and Chess on my phone because of you two

Late. She put the pawn on f4 for the reason that it does threaten his rook - preventing the knight moves.
@@thatnerdyuncle Exactly, so why does Anna go on to say that Wirtual had Nf3+ when it in turn just ended up with his rook being captured later?
