Sir, I am 47, got admission in master in data analytics in Germany. My background is math and physics and has 19 years experience of oil and gas exploration as Geophysicist. My question is that since there are no oil companies in Germany, so after doing my masters, if I wish to have job in Germany, how will I be able to use data analytics in my domain which is oil and gas exploration? If I choose other domain, will I be treated as a fresher? Will my past experience be considered?
Are there other energy companies in Germany such as electrical vehicles or some other form of energy where there is some overlap with the oil sector or the knowledge you have acquired so far? If you go to an entirely new domain then obviously you can't leverage your past experience other than the generic skills which apply to all the domains such as communication, stakeholder management etc.
Sir could you please assist me in managing a 3-month notice period and increasing the likelihood of receiving multiple interview invitations especially in data analyst role? Many companies prefer candidates to join promptly, within a month, and as a result, interviews for individuals with a 3-month notice period are not being scheduled.
@Abhishek-bb4co This is a tricky situation but most common in India. Most people I know have negotiated mid-way with both the new company and the current company. Like 45 days or 2 months.

Do not go for a data scientist if she doesn't like coding. That job requires string programming and statistics skills. Data analyst might be better for her. Also she can explore other roles based on her personality and skills such as UX designer

The test tells you if data analytics is a right career for you or not. 87% gives a hint that it may indeed be the right career. 87% doesn't give any clue on free vs paid courses. You can definitely learn from free resources but it will take more time and you need to find the structure of learning yourself. If you go for paid courses then you will get handholding and structure and you can learn things faster. Also paid courses will have better content.

Hello for now we do not have any open positions as last year itself we have already hired 6 to 7 folks in last one year. For new job openings look through linkedin jobs, naukri and also build strong online credibility using linkedin and other platforms. Many times small companies do not post jobs on job portals but they hire from their network on linkedin and also via job postings on their own website. At this time having strong online credibility helps.

You can use your accounting domain experience to become a data analyst in the field of finance and accounting. You already know excel and now power bi is excel on steroids. You can start building analytics dashboards in power bi and then learn SQL (which is very easy to learn by the way). Possibility wise, if 51 years old physiotherapist can do it then why not you?

The job market is rough but saying that there is no job opportunity is wrong. I get emails and LinkedIn messages on a regular basis where people are getting jobs. In this video, I have mentioned a person who got a job after 7 years experience in civil engineering (it is recent) other than also I have received many emails of fresher getting jobs.
