Legendary writer-director Walter Hill receives the WGAW's 2024 Screen Laurel Award

  • Legendary screenwriter, director, and producer Walter Hill (The Getaway, The Warriors, 48 Hrs., Last Man Standing, Aliens, Streets of Fire, Dead for a Dollar) receives the Writers Guild of America West’s 2024 Laurel Award for Screenwriting Achievement from from writer-director-producer Frank Marshall (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Arachnophobia). The Guild’s lifetime achievement award is presented to members who have “advanced the literature of motion pictures and made outstanding contributions to the profession of the screenwriter.”
    The 2024 Writers Guild Awards L.A. show was hosted by Emmy Award-winning actor Niecy Nash-Betts (Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story) on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at the Hollywood Palladium.
