- In an emotional interview with Sky News, Frank Rothwell describes his row across the Atlantic after becoming the oldest person to do so without assistance.
The grandfather began his 3,000-mile challenge at Canary Island La Gomera on 12 December and crossed the finish line in Antigua in the Caribbean on 6 February - reuniting with Judith, his wife of 50 years.
Rothwell has raised £648,000 for Alzheimer's Research UK in tribute to his brother-in-law who died with the disease during his row.

Fair play. Thats amazing. He looks great for his age
I'm not surprised he's "bloody tired". What a legend.
Real hero. The older generation have been showing us how it's done lately but this lad is still a youngster. 100 is the new 90 👍
Well done Frank!

Top man, should've had way more coverage than he did on this fantastic feat.Congratulations Frank.

I live just down the road from where his business is based, my mum's met him a couple of times.
He looks fit and healthy.
He looks like if he was to ever catch covid 19 he'd be asymptomatic
Three years later and he's done it again.
In the meantime he bought Oldham Athletic and his mission is to take them back into the Football League... easier to row his boat up Everest, but if anyone can do it...
seen him on the island , gets stuck in no messing about.
Super Franko
He should've walked around his garden a few times, he'd possibly have raised more money.
All that time alone. Will he have to isolate for 10 days when he comes home ? 😂😷👍
Just like Francis Chichester all those years ago !
👍👌
He sailed my Atlantic.
He rowed it, no sails.
@@wobblybobengland ok, that’s allowed

So distance of Atlantic is like English channel Right ?
Oho
Old
I'm thinking of it, the best way to escape.😷💉💀
Cup a tea then
A vulgar businessman is not fit to be the president of a democratic country! What we need is a leader who is brave, who dares to use the army, who dares to use special means under special circumstances, and who dares to take real action to defend democracy and defend justice!
Obviously, the White House was occupied by a dictator on January 20, but it doesn't mean that the whole United States is occupied...
It wasn't unassisted! He had oars and I'm sure he was in a boat ⛵
Another OAP making a non essential journey.
They should send him a fine for flouting lockdown restrictions haha
