Just bought same model including burst blaster, belt holder and touch probe extention kit.
Seller purchased it 3 years ago to find leaks on their compressed air lines but decided to outsource work to specialist company, been sat in a cupboard unused.
Including accessories they retail for about £2500 here in UK, they asked £1100 for it and I offered £800 which they accepted.
I have a couple of sites with units I am struggling to find leaks on R32 & R410a, hoping this bad boy find them so I can put them behind me, I hate leak detecting but I think Accutrac is going to make it fun.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, it's what made me look into buying it.

I work in loud areas often typically with chilled water pumps and lots of machinery. How does this handle background noises?

No problem with background unless there's hissing noise of water or air. It takes some time to understand the tool.

I'm curious, with that accuracy what do you use as your primary detector? You mentioned that as a backup.

Have try it on a gas valve leak?

In order for the unit to pick up a leak, there has to be turbulence around the hole or crack where the leak is. The higher the pressure in the system, the greater the turbulence around the leaking area, the easier the instrument will detect the turbulence. Natural gas is regulated down to about 1/4 psi into a residential home. So the turbulence around a leak would be VERY SMALL. Not saying that the instrument can't pick that up under ideal conditions but if I tested for a gas leak and found nothing ultrasonically, I would not assume that there is no leak. Time to break out a sniffer for combustibles and good old fashioned bubble leak detector solution.
