Hey Fam, I don't know if you catch Buju Banton's interview on Drink Champs but he dropped some serious gems on there. What caught my attention was what he said about the state of music consumption and his disappointment in AfroBeat. We spoke about this before and it goes to show that others do feel the same way. Some people will take offense but the truth is the truth. Afrobeat has yet to be music of substance and it may seem like it's blowing up but it's not liberating Africa. No one is saying anything that really matters in the end. On another note streaming platforms are still robbing us, musicians and consumers we must find a way to improve these things.
