I think this is exquisite, I have sung in choral groups for decades, requiems are amazing and beautiful to sing, this artist understand this very well ,thank you Robert Rich for your beautiful music, I really appreciate it, I am a big fan from Southern California by the beach.
Music can evoke memories and experiences. I accept some people might not be able to empathise with music like this..but some do..and it's nothing to do with drugs.
You are right. Some of us can relate to a journey etc.of some kind inside of our mind with music. It is a special gift. Nothing evil, nothing insane. We write a book with our mind pictures to this. We can relax and knowv where we left each time we listen to something like this repetitively. However no one else may ever read the the story.
music for airports makes me weep. not for sadness, but something is truly sublime about it. Sublime in the grand tradition of the romantics. unapproachable, inarticulable, hauntingly gorgeous.
I have A.D.D. so while I do appreciate this song, I can only appreciate about 20 seconds of it before my head explodes and I have to listen to something else. Giving it a thumbs up.
My discovery of this channel is by far the best thing to happen to me all day. Here’s hoping the owner is of the Dracula/Nosferatu type and not the Twilight variety. The quality of the music here suggests a genuine vampiric nature and not a lovesick eternal teenager who can’t stand the sight of blood. But that’s neither here nor there. The recommendations I’ve been getting from here have been consistently excellent.
That which is sublime is not dark, but powerful, and even beautiful. We must all transition form this realm to a greater one; that is Reality. This depicts that Reality. It is Sublime. Thank you.
after nearly 7 years, I have come back at this Time, the Passing of my Missy, feline Companion of 17+ years. She passed with courage, and Beauty, seven days passed Solstice, 2019. A magnificent little girl!
Early Sunday morning. A time to examine our thoughts. A time to remember who we are. A time to focus on what is really important in our brief stay in this world.
I am quite capable of enjoying and enriching myself with ambient music without nonsense about non-corporeal energy beings. You don't need a fairy tale to find worth in life.
15 times around the Sun we've gone since this was first posted. . . and it can't be matched for its artistic, graphic eloquence. The musical composition is exceptional, too. Ineffable thanks to this Dark Lady.
I just read on Facebook that Rich wrote this the weekend after the murder of his cousin, former Gold Medal Olympic wrestler Dave Schultz by John DuPont (depicted in the upcoming movie Foxcatcher). Rich says it captures many “secret codes” about his feelings of the tragedy and includes frog sounds recorded behind his grandmother’s house where he and his cousins played as children. It gives this piece a whole new meaning for me. Wouldn’t it be appropriate if the director chose this for the funeral scenes in the movie?
I read something under the comment of another video (watch?v=Pi7GboanZ3A). At the moment I was listening to Requiem and somehow it fitted so well, that I am posting it here: "With darkness abounding your shadow remains well hidden, but with the dawn of day all shadows are revealed. Shadows found behind all things befallen with light, but upon light itself, no shadow can be cast. There is a light from within that shines invisible to the eyes, and if it is awakened it radiates out in all directions. Once the divine truth wakes, no darkness again shall befall you, for you have found the sacred light of life and truth; the armor of the soul. So long as truth is within you, you are protected from all illusion, and falsities of men, and can no longer be corrupted or misled by the superstitions of the blind and deaf masses. In truth, there is nothing to fear, but fear would have you think differently, and for as long as you fear, you cower in the shadows, and do not move forward, or grow. Without growth we remain ignorant, and easily controlled. So long as you live in fear, so long also do you refuse the true power and strength that awaits you. By the truth do we grow, and by the truth do we know, and with the truth we bear at last the torch of knowledge that will light our way unto the kingdom of wisdom and grace. For those who strike out into the darkness, and stand to face their adversary alone, so long as they are guided by the truth, shall also be guarded by it, and will soon arrive unscathed at the gates of the eternal city." - Gabriel Seth
@Sindridge- I must confirm your comment. I am very open-minded, intellectual, and divine. But jokes aside, it does take someone of sophisticated knowledge and awareness to appreciate this music. Cheers!
@TheGrinninMan A very insightful and curious thought! I agree; this very much is "cosmic music". Though, could it be the case that this universe isn't really "for" anything or anyone? It could simply be the unfolding of time and space, for no real "purpose" other than its own existance. But if there is a kind of "music" hidden in it all, I do also wonder why. Though, it also may only seem like music because of the interpretations we place upon it. Perhaps we'll never truly know...
@Sindridge Amongst the spouted words of a possibly enlightened mind you will find certain truths which are not absolute.. you will interpret them as you will and it will be your own personal truth, and it will travel with you on earth and in the realm of imagination. Divine we all are, but with no need for god, all we have to do is release our minds from terrible presumptions and let ourselves wonder. That is the very spirit of ambient.
he opened his mouth to interject but then, as the aggressor's words sank in, a very real horror swept through him like a keen dusk wind. The words froze in his throat as his would-be interlocuter turned, and the mask cracked and slipped, just enough to reveal the angry red glare of madness beneath - something utterly, terminally implacable. Heelspun, he made a hasty exit, fighting back the urge to glance over his shoulder at that figure of hate who was - even then - contriving to tempt him back.
Eucis93: If your just joking around then I am sorry to take this too seriously. But actually I listened to this many times without any drugs and I like it just for its own ability to put you in a meditative state
The closest things to real LSD are Biosphere and Robert Rich and Oophoi, these are the closest, I tried everything, Alpex Twitch etc. but these are different.
That comment alone contradicts itself. There is no possible way for an 'evolutionary being' to think that they are 'divine'. True intellects can see and are aware of the size of the things around them, including their own ego. I understand the metaphor your trying to convey but simply liking a genre has no reflection of intelligence.
In Mind and Body, and therefore perhaps in our "Souls," we are evolving [or de-evolving] as a species, and as individuals. However, if we possess a Spiritual self, which I believe is a Gift from the Maker, then we have, in part, a Divine Nature. This is, and can only be, in constant conflict with our lesser self. . . . Beyond this perspective I shall not (in this Medium) attempt to go; it would prove futile. Px.
I really don't understand music like this. To be honest, I think you'd have to be high as fuck before actually thinking it's good. I have never and will never do any drugs. Maybe that's why I don't understand this.. Y'all are high
Probably some people feel this kind of music and some just don't. I would guess it has something to do with human tendency to be spiritual. Some people are more spiritual and some are just less spiritual. Who knows, one might even learn to 'feel' this kind of music.
Within certain Nutella graveyards you will find dark enlightenment, transcend the corporeal vanilla wafers, reach the nadir of dark chocolate six feet down within the gluttony of midgetkind. A drum, an airy moan, the lilting flatulence, all the metaphysical music of the spirit-stomach of man as you embrace the aphotic terrain of your mind-grocery. *PLBLBLBLBLBLLLFFFFFFFFFFF* Good song though.
Dear Lady, you are an artist!
I think this is exquisite, I have sung in choral groups for decades, requiems are amazing and beautiful to sing, this artist understand this very well ,thank you Robert Rich for your beautiful music, I really appreciate it, I am a big fan from Southern California by the beach.
magnificent Requiem.....SUBLIME!!! talent and genius man RR!! thanks fm Italy
And thank you, Italy, for Oophoi. Two sublme artists that lift us into a Greater, deeper Dimension.
Music can evoke memories and experiences. I accept some people might not be able to empathise with music like this..but some do..and it's nothing to do with drugs.
It's unfortunate that most people cannot understand this kind of music.
basically this "music" only sounds good to people on mary jane and xtc hangovers. get a purpose in life you techno hippie street bum

These pictures are like pictures you would find in an old drawer in a abondoned house. Captured memories of a forgotten past.
This is indeed excellent music to sit at home with rain outside in me inside
Respectful of those who went before us,. and mindful of our responsibility to life.
A dark and beautiful journey into the unknown.
One of my favorite pieces.

Enter the ambient realm of perpetually morphing spectral beauty.

As always brilliant work!
Wonderful music.
Gotta love your work.
Greetings to Hungary ;)
thanks! just one more chance for me to look inside myself!
After being posted for a Decade, still nothing out there is comparable to this intense piece of work.
15 times around the Sun we've gone since this was first posted. . . and it can't be matched for its artistic, graphic eloquence. The musical composition is exceptional, too. Ineffable thanks to this Dark Lady.
Thank you... this is very soothing and mesmerizing, i forgot about time itself until the track ended unfortunately.
There will be no time when we cross over, thank God. I am tired of Time!!

This video is of amazing beauty compared to all the shit out there. Very touching collection of images. Thx.
Impressionistic Art, literally! I agree with you; this is in a higher Class than most any video.
Hello from México, wow you got very nice videos! and what can I say about the music, mindblowing!
The artwork is mesmerizing and reminds me of the game "Deep Sleep" if anyone has played it.
@TheGrinninMan

@Sindridge
Maybe this explains I only find very few others who are affected by this genre of music as I find myself to be?

gods dreams
Etheric
PAHAHAHA! Yeah.
It's cheap (and a good deal, I paid $6 for it and it was well worth it) but I think "Seven Veils" and "Numena/Geometry" are more interesting albums.
The closest things to real LSD are Biosphere and Robert Rich and Oophoi, these are the closest, I tried everything, Alpex Twitch etc. but these are different.
If you want nightmares listen to Lustmord.
This is a beautiful song but there's a lot rubbish in the comments.
sounds like some bc areas in wow:D
I think the top comments must have been made by dope-smokers or something.
Or good dreams. Depends on the stroke for the bloke.
