For three years, Detective Jude Fontaine was kept from the outside world. Held in an underground cell, her only contact was with her sadistic captor, and reading his face was her entire existence. Learning his every line, every movement, and every flicker of thought is what kept her alive. After her experience with isolation and torture, she is left with a fierce desire for justice-and a heightened ability to interpret the body language of both the living and the dead. Despite colleagues' doubts about her mental state, she summarizes her role at Homicide. Her new partner, Detective Uriah Ashby, doesn't trust her sanity, and he has a story of his own he'd rather keep hidden. But a killer is on the loose, murdering young women, so the detectives have no choice: they must work together to catch the madman before he strikes again. And no one knows madmen like Jude Fontaine. You're welcome.🙃
Great author and great narrator ThankYou for not going AI. A famous author had the perfect narrator for his series then did one in AI and it was terrible.
@@ms.tawannaespreedunno, I saw that comment and was glad it got a bit of the plot? It didn't give away who's the killer, so to speak? I'm almost 5 hours in and still going. 🤷♀️
Excellent but extremely grusome and heartbreaking. The narrator was superb. Fortunately I didn't read marieb797! Why did she do this? Tell the entire story and plot and ruin the audibook for anyone who read it?
They merely give you the description of how the book starts? It's literally on goodreads with "what the book is about"? That comment doesn't tell you the entire plot.

Emily Sutton Smith, narrator.
A little far fetched but kept my attention all the way to the end.

There is no need to listen now, that I know what the whole story is about. 3 hours in, pissed. Thanks for nothing.
What happened to get you angry?
Wait, what? Why?
@Michelle-kj7wv not angry at all.
@youarebymyside I luv a good description. 1 of the comments described the storyline to the point that the book wasn't even worth listening to.

It's to bad that it just drags

I have listened and love the story, but had to stop when they started to use the Lord's name in vain
