It's amazing how false rumors can take on a life of their own. So Paul patiently explains that the Antichrist must come first. Christ will come only after the appearance of the Antichrist. Without this chapter (and some information in Revelation 13), we wouldn't know much about the Antichrist, so I guess it's good for us that Paul had to give the Thessalonian church this explanation.

Matthew 24.40 explains that 2 will be working in the field one will be taken the other one left... The AntiChrist will not appear until the Rapture, when Christ comes to take all Christians to Heaven. Read the new Testament, especially the first four chapters, and Revelation.
Paul doesn't have to say that the Restrainer is the Church. Why not? Because every true born again child of God has the Holy Spirit dwelling in them. It stands to reason that once the Restrainer is taken out of the way, then the lawless one will be revealed. All of us that have the Spirit of Christ dwelling in us, we will be taken out of the way as well. This is what I believe according to Scripture, and if you're belief differs, then so be it. We have no guarantee to be "removed." The Bible doesn't say that. There is no mention of the word "rapture" or "raptured" in the Bible the way everyone means it today, either. Believers in Jesus Christ will be protected in many ways during the Tribulation because they will be sealed. It doesn't mean they can't be harmed or killed, but they will not be affected by some of the judgments which will be poured out during those terrible times, similar to the protections of the Israelites against the 10 plagues of Egypt. If all believers are removed prior to the Tribulation, there would be no light in a very dark time. I know there is sadly a lot of hypocrisy and darkness even in the church today, and it will be held accountable for leading people astray and pushing people away from the Truth. Be light now. Jesus did not guarantee a life of comfort, of riches, of prosperity. He taught His followers to leave everything behind and follow Him. He said, "In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world." JOHN 16:33
Every other translation says, "But stay alert at all times, praying that you will have STRENGTH to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:36, NASB. Why would we need strength if we are going to be whisked away to heaven? I used to believe that we would be raptured before the Tribulation, and if I am wrong, that's great. I believe that Jesus is saying here that we will need strength to endure the horrors of the Tribulation, even though we will largely be protected from many of them (Revelation 9:4). We will also need to escape in other ways, as Christians without the mark of the beast will be hunted and martyred for their faith, but will be rewarded and comforted by Christ in heaven (Revelation 7:13-17).

And Thessalonians does not say that, but Revelations does tell us, at the end, on the clouds, with a voice of an arch angel. I also believe that God has told us in scripture that we will have to prove ourselves worthy as Christ proved his love for us. That way God can be sure of your loyalty. Besides, if you read scripture, 90% will be lost out of fear. The test will not be easy. It will be hard and you'll have to have the faith of a child.

I've got no idea where you get the notion that Believers will be raptured pre or mid Tribulation, because Matthew 24:29-31, clearly states that we will all be present during the entire Tribulation period, unless of course we have been beheaded...pls show the scriptures!

Has the great APOSTASY already happened? Could you enlighten us on this concern also with proofs. Given that the verse speaks of the APOSTASY to come and usher in the Antichrist, it is supposed to be WELL KNOWN/PUBLICIZED. Why is it not made public by Internationally Acclaimed Bible-based Scholars/Ministers of God's Word particularly those whose specialty is PROPHETIC events that they are supposed to deal with for public consumption by God's decree?

First of all, the FALLING away is a broad teaching that happens over time. The bible does NOT give a specific time when this starts. However, it's obvious it has already started. This FALLING away is the falling away from the TRUTH. 2Tm4:3-4. Just look at the Churches and their false teaching. The MAN OF SIN is more specific. This is almost certainly the antichrist. When he is REVEALED, believers will know it. This is when he will wear out the saints. Dan 7:23/ Rev11:7/ 13:7. This REVEALING begins the tribulation period. Without this chapter (and some information in Revelation 13), we wouldn't know much about the Antichrist, so I guess it's good for us that Paul had to give the Thessalonian church this explanation.

Paul doesn't have to say that the Restrainer is the Church. Why not? Because every true born again child of God has the Holy Spirit dwelling in them. It stands to reason that once the Restrainer is taken out of the way, then the lawless one will be revealed. All of us that have the Spirit of Christ dwelling in us, we will be taken out of the way as well. This is what I believe according to Scripture, and if you're belief differs, then so be it. We have no guarantee to be "removed." The Bible doesn't say that. There is no mention of the word "rapture" or "raptured" in the Bible the way everyone means it today, either. Believers in Jesus Christ will be protected in many ways during the Tribulation because they will be sealed. It doesn't mean they can't be harmed or killed, but they will not be affected by some of the judgments which will be poured out during those terrible times, similar to the protections of the Israelites against the 10 plagues of Egypt. If all believers are removed prior to the Tribulation, there would be no light in a very dark time. I know there is sadly a lot of hypocrisy and darkness even in the church today, and it will be held accountable for leading people astray and pushing people away from the Truth.

Why would we need strength if we are going to be whisked away to heaven? I used to believe that we would be raptured before the Tribulation, and if I am wrong, that's great. I believe that Jesus is saying here that we will need strength to endure the horrors of the Tribulation, even though we will largely be protected from many of them (Revelation 9:4). We will also need to escape in other ways, as Christians without the mark of the beast will be hunted and martyred for their faith, but will be rewarded and comforted by Christ in heaven (Revelation 7:13-17).
We will be “ caught up in the clouds” to meet him so yes that’s what many call the rapture. We will be taken away.

I also believe that God has told us in scripture that we will have to prove ourselves worthy as Christ proved his love for us. That way God can be sure of your loyalty. Besides, if you read scripture, 90% will be lost out of fear. The test will not be easy. It will be hard and you'll have to have the faith of a child.

First of all, the FALLING away is a broad teaching that happens over time. The bible does NOT give a specific time when this starts. However, it's obvious it has already started. This FALLING away is the falling away from the TRUTH. 2Tm4:3-4. Just look at the Churches and their false teaching. The MAN OF SIN is more specific. This is almost certainly the antichrist.
