Mr Dell , I'm happy to see that you answer the comments ; I live in Iran and my salary per month is 200 dollars !!!!!!!!! Can you believe it ? I love this sport , so considering my income , what wing do you offer me for buying ?😢😢😢 Oh !!!! And I love paramotor too !!!!
I have good certified gliders as low as $500-$800 that are in perfect working order so it will just be a question of what you can afford. But the real issue is the training as there is nobody in your country that teaches people properly so realistically the only true way to do it would be to come to me directly. So you might consider that this sport might just not be for you at your current income level. Sometimes it's better to just not do it at all if you cannot do it the right way as it can just get more expensive if you lose control from a lack of proper gear or training. So maybe it's best to not do it and just focus on improving your income until you can get it up. Find the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and going that church and work to keep the commandments because it is a promise from God that if you keep the commandments that you will prosper in the land. So if you join that church I can promise you that you will be able to find ways to improve your income and station and things will just work out for you. Hope that helps.
I am very excited because when I talked to SUPERDELL today he told me he had just finished packing my new to me Dominator for shipping. I think thats my wing! My plan is to practice kiting on the beach here in south Florida to get a jump on my SUPER TRAINING come June 21 in Texas.
Of course remember I told you don't even remotely think about taking it out of the bad until after SUPER training as these things are so powerful they can pick up a truck. So trying to hook into a glider without a master instructor there to help you would be incredibly flat out foolish. Many many people are seriously injured and killed that way. One guy was drug into power lines that literally burned his glider in two pieces when he ignored my advice on this. Don't even think about trying to kite on your own. It would be like picking a fight with a gang before you take karate just to see if you can practice a bit. You don't learn jack squat about paragliding when you are dead or in the hospital. Keep in mind it would only help me if people could come to SUPER training with some basic skill and ability so I know how this works out as I've seen it over and over and over for a very long time. Of course if you even try to take it out of the bag you will most likely spend the rest of your life trying to figure out how to untangle the mess you make. I know there are people that have to die the hard way. I would say learn the hard way but it doesn't usually work out like that with aviation as it's more of trial and death not trial and error. Just wait until SUPER training so the first time you realize just how tricky it is I'm right there to help you make it all better.
Good advice Dell. Mark, looking forward to becoming a SUPER with you in June. I am very excited also. And like you, I want to first get SUPER Training, then get a Dominator to practice kiting at home, then get my Flat-Top when I am ready for the skys. I will only be able to stay for 5 days at the June SUPER Training, and then come back for the August SUPER Training to perfect my skills so I will be able to Master the Dominator, then Master the Flat-Top. SOOOOOOO EXCITED ! ! !
Wouldn't this kind of packing make a risk of damaging your cell openings? Like when concertina packing, it's common to do some efford to gather all the cell opening together. But here, you just fold it like a kind of sleeping bag.
The best & safest glider doesn't have or need weedwacker line in the leading edge. For those that have it though it's just weedwacker line and you can safely fold it no problem.
Then go to the local Gym or a place where there is a large enough space to do this indoors. :) Or you can just stuff it in a box and smash it down without folding it but it won't be as small generally.
Павел Сапрыкин well if you do it right when it’s windy you end up kiting the wing for 2 hours having a blast instead of packing it 😂 or if you’re from ireland you get drunk and fight the wind til it goes away in submission then you fold the wing, wake up the next morning only to find you folded your bicycle up instead, then it dawns on you “that’s why I needed that sledgehammer. I thought that was probably not right but I was too drunk to realize it”
@@MissMarinaCapri It's basically waterproof like a dixie cup. If you push your finger into the cloth to make a depression it will hold water. So not really worried about it molding or anything like that. If it's clean and dry when you put it away it should be fine and if it's full of snow, salt water and sand when you put it away it will probably be just fine anyway.
If it's folded under dry conditions it likely won't be a problem. It''ll find it's way out. Personally I like to make absolutely sure though. I've seen mold grow on just about any surface under humid conditions so I usually put some dehumidifying salt in there. Silica if I have it as it won't corrode anything, isn't sticky and can be re-used (just dry it in the oven). The silica in a bag or container that breathes of course. For really long-term storage in a non-heated space with shifting temps I put in many small bags of silica spread out evenly as I folded the glider, then put it in a relatively air-right container with more silica outside the glider, but inside the container.
It's because stuff like that is all hype. The bottom line is performance vs safety. Many companies make up things like AFS technology or PSA technology bla bla bla... it's not technology if the glider isn't better and the Dominator is currently the best. So waste of time to look into Shark Nose and other hype bs. Just check the actual characteristics. It either glides better or it doesn't. It either recovers better or it doesn't. That is the bottom line.
It’s kind of like a store advertising “our chicken is antibiotic free” yeah, so is everyone else’s it’s just a gimmick for the most part to sell more. They serve the same purpose, some (most) just don’t do it as well :)
Love the video!!! I would like to see more videos on engine maintenance. Can't wait to get SUPER TRAINING, and a Flattop, and a Dominator. Just cant handle the expense at the moment.
@@DellSchanze some suggestions 1. Routine maintenance such as 20, 30, 40, hrs. Even if it isn't expected to breakdown per say, what to look at to give an indication of an upcoming maintenance task. 2. Fuel and oil ratios. Running the engine RICH or LEAN and what those terms mean, and under what condutions. 3. Breaking in a new engine. 4. Mounting a new engine, if you decide to swap it out. 5. Tuning the engine when/why. 6. Efficacy of 2 bladed vs 3 bladed prop. 7. Mounting a 2nd gas tank for those who later decide that crossing country is their thing. I'm sure you will be able to come up with many more. Maybe you can cut me some kind of a deal (on Super Training and gear) for comming up with some more video ideas....lol.
Thanks SUPERDELL, Good Info. Question: What about other videos that talk about pulling the opening cells together so as to not fold or crumple them and thereby weaken them? Is it not that important on the Dominatior as opposed to other less quality gliders? Also, what about using one of those "SPACE Bags" to slide the folded glider into before vacuum packing it?
Thank you Del.. I am folding up a glider and packing for shipment and you just saved me a bunch of time! Very very efficient! Thanks again! Dz
Nice job. Awesome !

No this is not going to damage the glider. This is basically how they come right from the factory.
You da best
What about the rods in leading edge

Would it be a good idea to put an activated charcoal bag inside one of the folds of the glider?
Doesn't really matter. We've never had an issue that would warrant doing anything special.
Dell Schanze, 🧐interesting 🤔 I wonder if the material is imbued with antimicrobial, something?

How come nobody talks about the cells of a glider the difference between more or less, and cross bracing isn’t that important?

So many vids about how to fly a glider, but when it comes to properly packing a glider only 8 k views... lol

There really isn't much to do on a Flat Top. Thanks for the input though. I'll see what I can do.

I've never seen an issue. It's like putting a bed sheet away. It really doesn't care how you do it.
Dang, my glider is still in your trailer.... Can you get all the sand out of it and fold it nice and neat like that 😉
Oh maybe that was your glider I just sold.... just kidding. Let's go flying!
