I did the afternoon tour and like you said it was excellent and worth the price. It was great seeing some long overdue TLC to the park and I am really excited for the 2024 season. Huge well done to Russ, Sam and the team for an excellent tour and all who have worked hard during the closed period, especially with such poor weather.

Cant wait to see the Hyperia themed rooms when they get realised. Theres also Colossus rooms now. Big Easy Boulevard I cant wait to see very soon. The film in Sunset Cinema im really excited about now. Bring on the season.
Park is looking great. Great toilet review, love the theming, the lighting, the immersion. I’m sure it will be great when you can hear the acoustics on opening day too!
Haven't really been into theme parks for a decade but man does it make me happy to see Merlin put some theme back into their theme parks. Hoping this is a sign of a brighter future.
Did they over order on the colossus paint colour as they’ve used it all over the entrance areas? It’s all looking really nice and fresh. Love the refreshed stealth area. It’s a few big steps in the right direction for Thorpe.
Hopefully not! They said their reporting system for graffiti etc came in handy last season and they were able to tackle issues quicker, let's hope they can clamp down on it as there are some absolute idiots around
I wasn't aware until very recently these tours were happening! I can remember operating Swarm the other day and just seeing a massive crowd of people descend on the island (presumably one of these tours) on one of the CCTV monitors and wondering what was happening 😭
@LiftHillsandThrills Ah yeah must've been a different group to these tours then (I think I'm remembering Attraction Source)! It's pretty cool having these tours, perhaps in the future they'll have events like Cedar Point's Winter Chillout.
Did they say if the advert panels on the que to stealth will be continued to be added? and colossus looks good but definitely incomplete especially the little things like the axis being painted but not on the side that you saw walking up so it just still looks run down until you walk past them
haha not at all, they're doing a good job at sprucing the place up, Hyperia (for me) feels a little like that but knowing its a Varney project makes complete sense. Hopefully it''ll change in future and the trains are set to be damn sleek!

@@themepark_united They're sprucing the park up that's all that matters :) they can't go to Europa Park levels and dig everything up and replace from scratch... what they do is absolutely insane but hats off to them... their park is beautiful

Big Easy will be, Samurai just needs a lick of paint but depends how long something like that takes, the ground etc has all been painted

I love the fact Thorpe park are always replacing their menus & food units, I wish Alton towers would do that more often

They're aiming to do more work on it this winter but no confirmation just hopeful thinking at this stage
