^^That is my favorite Page story. Also, I broke my toe during my internship at CNN by walking into a sign when I was running late one day (lol) and had to limp around the office in a walking boot for months. So, yeah, gets better!
Love the content, but a couple editing things could be cleaned up. 1. The colored crosshatching background is a bit childish, I would look for a simpler and more professional background. 2. The stretching of the faces is also somewhat childish; the B Roll shouldn't take away from whats being said over it. 3. The fast talking at 9:06 was fairly annoying to listen to, but this is just a pet peeve. A better option may be to highlight specific points within the quote and while showing the entire quote on screen have the host hone in on the important part of the paragraph. This was a great episode and very informative, but the quality of the video just doesn't stack up to the quality of the research. If this was someone's first attempt, it was a great start.
God this video is so busy. It's really hard to follow the message visually or audibly. It feels like four or five people wrote or produced their own portion of this piece. But when they put it all together no one was their to say "no" to the things that didn't fit or get the point across. Although if this peice was also meant to educate the ones making it. It's a great start. Keep it up.
I suspect the distorted images are to try and avoid photo copyright recognition software. So, not paying for content usage? Hidden joke, or manipulation of content to avoid rules and PAYING. Hmmm.
yes. I know my internship is later, i don't care. the 3 college kids from china i have in my house chained to my radiator sit here day and night pumping random youtube comments. I'll give them their degree.....some day.
This was really hard to follow and way too long. The editing wasn't up to standards to what BEME usually does. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. This video feels more like something other sites would release. I would not stay subscribed if that was what your content looks like going forward.
So what is the definition of a paid internship in the US? Most internships in my country are paid, but the pay is far below minimum wage standards, so in my eyes it is still almost as bad. This also means that I have never seen an internship that paid according to minimum wage standards.
Requiring to pay interns is a HORRIBLE idea in some markets. For instance, I'm a Lead Programmer... MOST interns we get have a real lack of (understandable) skill/knowledge. It costs us (as mentors to the interns) real time + money. We do not put interns on any paid projects or client work. However very few interns can actually do programming work on a level of a paid employee anyway. If you make us pay interns we will simply stop doing this service to the community (by giving them positions that literally cost us time + money) and the interns will miss out on the resume and mentor building opportunity. Most interns tell us they learn way more 'in the real world' during our intern projects than they do in a class.
They do cover your issue @8:00. But the issue is a majority of bad actors. In your case the interns are not replacing employees, and are reeving education. I applaud your hard work.
In the UK, unpaid internships are illegal and in my opinion it's much better this way. Internships do not just benefit the students, this is especially relevant for engineering/programming roles where companies here view internships as a key part of graduate recruitment. I did 3 successive internships with the same company and they are now my employer. Without paying me, I couldn't have afforded the cost of accommodation and travel in another city.
honestly just what happened to beme news. It feels like it was ruined. The idea was for it to feel like it wasn’t a news show. This just felt like it was a news show
We just got out of a strike here in Quebec, Canada against unpaid student internships. Our research showed that unpaid interns were also disproportionately women, in fields that are traditionally associated with "care", like education and health services. Yes, there are class and race issues, but also a nice healthy dose of sexism about what work gets paid and which falls under the "she does that for free" category...
great improvement from the last video you guys did, but I do agree with other people that it seems like its a little too fast passed and there needs to be more cohesion in the overall video. It feels like there are 3 writers who chose the same topic but didn't really synthesize their scripts into one before shooting the video. Keep it guys and I know you guys are going to continue to do great and improve in every video :D
I fainted on the second day of my internship here. It gets better from there! - Page
GTFO! Where's Lou?
Lou at 2:28

@@FerdinandZebua Oh goodie thanks brother!
hey... where´s lou?
Santiago Lorenzo 2:28
Living his life.
1 minute in: is this video made by the beme interns?
You boys should invest in more lighting
Was,,, was this edited on a potato?? It's unwatchable but the content is great
Good video overall however this format feels like a lot more like just a script rather than an educated person teaching or explaining.
1. The distorted faces were funny as heck
2. This format was cool, ignore the haters
3. Hey, there's Lou: 2:28
Also Nora, at 5:45

what's with the distorted faces/body modifications?!?
It protects their identities and it's funny as hell
"heeheexd let's make faces stretchy" probably

Crazy Eyed Eddie someone let the intern play with Premier Pro.
Lou isnt here... this is problematic
He is. At 2:28.

J S the images are licensed stock :)
Enjoyed the topic was very interesting! The editing was very hard on the eyes & I'm watching on Chromecast....
i like the Lou structure more
Not a fan of this format.
yes. I know my internship is later, i don't care.
the 3 college kids from china i have in my house chained to my radiator sit here day and night pumping random youtube comments. I'll give them their degree.....some day.
Sorry, gang. I made it 3 minutes in. Vocal fry... I just can't listen to it. AT ALL.
content is good, lighting is bad
If you spill Lou's coffee, you don't deserve to get paid.

What on earth is this editing
Slow down
The voice sound quality is noticeably lacking when compared to Lou's videos.
The distortion on faces is weird. I'll probably leave if the channel is going to keep that effect. Sorry, Lou.
Internship here in the Netherlands are actually paid mostly!
That's because you're lucky enough to not live in the capitalism-tastic United States.
There's also a cameo from Nora at 5:45 ..
The information is good, but a little dry in the delivery. Maybe having Lou do it, and telling us its the thing would help.

These guys are soooo boring. Sorry about the bad feedback
You guys must've not had the right to use any of those pics
You guys need to speak into the microphones, the audio is terrible
What's up with the sound. The quality of these are in the shitter.
Wow, this sucks! Where's Lou?
Where is Lu? :'(

What’s with the face filters?
The face distorting is annoying.
An overpaid intern discovered a new technique and went overboard using it.
any one of these folks could do a video on their own I think.
What’s w these unknown people telling me things?
I'm entirely convinced this was made by disgruntled BEME interns.
Didn’t like it. Low energy, bad lighting, disturbed by the format.
0:18 distorted faces are for memes only.
This looks like the type of group I wouldn't want be around... or at least the one in the middle anyways lol
Lou cameo!!!
Should be illegal you're working should get paid.
The distorted faces is unsettling
Many subbed to this channel for the professional news presentation Lou offers. This is a bit too much childish/comedy.
honestly just what happened to beme news. It feels like it was ruined. The idea was for it to feel like it wasn’t a news show. This just felt like it was a news show
Loving all the new personalities. Lou may be the mainstay, but the new talent just need time and experience LIKE INTERNS.
Most internships are the equivalent of modern day slavery

Out of focus, terrible keying.
