PARCO DELLA MAREMMA the tower and the beach path A2 ( 1part)

Maremma, in southern Tuscany, is the wildest land of this region. The Natural park of Maremma, was established in 1975 and is stretched along 25 Kms of sandy and rocky coast and 100 kmq . This unspoiled corner of Tuscany, hosts a farm created in IXX by the grand Dukes Lorena near the mouth of Ombrone river. Since the 1500 the Malta Knights and the Medici family, had here a huge hunting reserve. The Fattoria Alberese belong now to the Tuscan Region and breeds in the wild Maremman horses and cows .
The Natural park has woodland, swamps, a large pine forest, sand dunes and an amazing and very famous desert beach Collelungo, loved even by naturists.
I started my career of tour guide here, so many years ago, and I love so much this park, where I spent so many hours and hours of walking.

The path is 14 Kms long and you have to buy the ticket in Alberese village at the park's ticket office .

La Maremma è sicuramente la terra più selvaggia della Toscana. Il.Parco della Maremma fu istituito nel 1975 e si estende lungo 25 chilometri di coste sabbiose e rocciose per 10000 ettari .
A Marina di Alberese c'è la fattoria creata nell'800 dal Gran duca di Toscana e che ora appartiene alla regione Toscana. In questi campi si allevano cavalli e vacche maremmane allo stato brado . Qui i Medici di Firenze avevano una estesa riserva di caccia.
Boschi di lecci , paludi , canali di bonifica, dune di sabbia e la pineta granducale formano ambienti mediterranei naturali magnifici. La spiaggia di collelungo è poi amatissima e pochissimo frequentata anche in estate.
