Texas also has a self-confident coach who has the cajones to do whatever he wants. Sherrone Moore feels like he has to win "The Harbaugh Way." and he's stuck playing smash mouth ball.
Michigan needs better qb play for sure. They also have no wide out threat. As Michigan fan its going to be a rough season to watch im afraid. The play calling on offense for Michigan was terrible. I was at the game also. My first ever college game.
Texas has a great great team. That said, the post Harbaugh Stalions era is going to be a painful descent to mediocrity. Michigan is in for a rough year
Everyone is not going to want to come to Missed-again for a long time. The NCAA is about to drop the N.O.A. hammer which you media types seem to ignore. That’s cool.
Michigan wouldn’t have done or played any differently had they had last years team with this years rules (ie the Michigan rule, no way to pick signs if they radio the play into the QB’s helmet) facts
As someone who lives in Ann Arbor I can confidently say that no one here expected to win this game. Anyone who has paid attention knows that this year’s team isn’t even the same roster or coaching staff as last year. Not sure why the media is even putting Michigan in the same conversation as teams like GA, OSU, and TX? Everyone is expecting UM to be a pretty average team this year
My biggest concern is Texas discipline. Their false starts drive me nuts and they always come after a previous big play and the false starts are always on the first series of downs of the game. Drive me nuts.
Texas is very good and I think most of us had the reasonable expectation they would be going into the season. But how much of this was Michigan just not being anywhere near as good as last year? The hangover effect of sorts. Lost a lot of talent to the NFL (while not really have the depth to replace them like the other big boys did), a ton of staff turnover including the man who rebuilt the program, a slightly higher rating than I think they deserved to start with.
Just to be sure I wasn't wrong, I watched the video you posted before the game. Among many things you said, was this..."I think this one's gonna be a fight." So, post-game analysis is great, but maybe stop trying to say you saw this coming.
The truly elite teams RIGHT NOW find a way to reload every year. Georgia lost 15 players to the draft in 2022 and still won a natty, the year after they lost 10 and won. Michigan isn't TCU, but they have to find a way to reload if they want to be able to be top 4-8 year after year. Texas is there, so is Georgia, Ohio State and Bama after this year.
Michigan was completely inept on offense. It was obvious that they thought they could run the ball down Texas's throat, and when they realized they couldn't, it was too late for a backup plan? This was a failure in coaching.
Yes Texas Dominated and kicked Michigan’s teeth in and congrats Texas, Michigan doesn’t lose at home a lot you guys are clearly the better team . It was over by half but pump your brakes guys the Longhorns were favourites to win this game. Yes Michigan returns some key players but don’t forget this 〽️team lost 18 starters to the NFL, their Head Coach, DC and is a shadow of that Championship squad that went all the way 15-0 🏆
Why is no one talking about the fact that Warren needs to be benched? He shouldn't have won the starting job to begin with - give Orji a chance instead of the obvious QB run/sneak play...
Michigan is a weird fan base. Blue-chip program, storied history and a known brand in CFB. Yet it’s excuses of how they lost guys and coaching staff in why they couldn’t defend home turf and got embarrassed. Head coach isn’t signed and who knows the outcome from the Stallion drama. That wasn’t event a fight and it’s bad when Texas lets off the gas in halftime to save their playbook and guys.
Texas would have beat Michigan last year too. Sweat and Murphy would have dominated the run game and McCarthy was not an elite passer. Texas would have forced McCartyh to throw down field and he wouldn't have been able to do it nearly as well as Penix and Texas offense was better suited to score on Michigan than Washington was because they were much more balanced and wouldn't be playing from behind in a hurry due to being lit up in the pass game like Penix did. Unfortunately, Penix and Washingtons pass game was the perfect kryptonite for Sarks team last year and they still almost won. Michigan last year was one of the worst Champion teams in years.
@@travissmith9488 like I said, matchups matter. Washington had the perfect formula to exploit Texas only weakness last year plus Sark should have stuck with the run more in that game. Huh. No Connor Stalions to save the day? Wolverqueens!
@@zeppelinl6275 pray on another team to do what your soft coach can't
@Dominic5251 evidently your skull is a soft. Several teams are gonna smack the 'queens this year, but none as severely as the ncaa.
@@electrical.banana you still praying to the NCAA hahahaha
@Dominic5251 not at all. Can't count them. Sound like the NOA has some damning evidence tho. We'll see
Michigan can't cheat anymore. Day said he was gonna hang a 100 on them, he just never said the year 😂
Our O line was eating Saturday, they looked like a bunch of Bulls coming off the ball.
I was there. First drive I was like "yeaaa we are about to whoop them" So easy to see lol
Wish Jayden Davis would have had an opportunity to play a drive or two
Agree
Steve Sarkisian has built the type of program I expected Tom Herman to build
I expected Tom Herman to do exactly what he did here
@@shakurjWhy did you think he’d ultimately fail? Just curious as to your reasons. I had concerns about the inconsistent intensity of his UH teams. Didn’t think Mensa Man would so stupidly give such low priority to recruiting the LOS, though. Also wasn’t really aware of his general immaturity until after he was hired.
Yea a lose the natty team. Just like last year.
I was wrong about Texas. Did not expect to see them defend the run so well. But I would like to see them play a dynamic offense that can stretch them out.
As a Texas fan we got 3 games to really worry about Oklahoma and Georgia in back 2 back weeks and Texas A&M to end the season i honestly think if anyone does that then it's gonna be Georgia
It would take another Michael Penix-caliber player and QB to challenge the Texas secondary this year.
I think you could make the argument Bama was that last year and they did well there. I’ve been saying the defense is gonna be better and i truly think it is overall than last year but yea they’ll still have to prove they can stop more balanced attacks. But there just aren’t ton of those teams out there outside the top 10. It’ll clearly be fun to watch Texas vs UGA
@@projectprism1591I count Oklahoma and the Aggies because they're old rivals. Georgia because well it's Georgia and they want revenge for the sugar bowl. But I'd throw in Arkansas as well another rival of sorts that always seems to play Texas well.
They'll get the chance to do just that. I think they'll do just fine.
Best Texas team I've seen since the 2005 team. Might become a better team by December.
This is really good stuff I have a problem with the loss of talent thing, Texas lost 11 in the draft and Michigan lost 13 that’s a difference of 2 players Michigan’s coaching didn’t reload that’s on them
This host is definitely a texas fan
Why couldn’t this game of happened a year earlier
The Texas, GA game is going to be massive!
Gotta get through OU first
I don’t know how anyone outside of Ann Arbor didn’t see this coming.
They are too busy explaining away the cheating and making up garbage to legitimize the title.
The game is difficult when you don't know what, plays the other team is going to run.
I'm trying to figure out how Michigan was supposed to be so great this year. They lost way too much and they had no depth.
Texas looks like the best team in the nation with the performance.
Apparently you didn’t see Ohio State play on Saturday.
@@jimmy5634 oh yes they defeated powerhouse Western Michigan. They defeated them so bad they dropped down in the AP poll. 😏😏
@@darrylbrown8253 eye test vs resume
@@darrylbrown8253 Don’t really the AP poll is useless if you had common sense you would know that, but the Coaches poll which matters more than a bunch of media jerks (AP) has OSU still number 2. Texas wasn’t very impressive considering that the blue team has no QB should have put 60 on that blue team.
@@johngorby1650 Ohio State wont. Their QB is not even top 20 in the country. You know that if Quinn was their QB they would be #1 but you dont have common sense.....If OHstate is so good, tell them to stop playing cupcakes at the beginning of the season. They are too much hype.
Michigan ain't shit without Stallions. That's the padlock stat...
Just another dumb ignorant comment.. Michigan hasn't had stallions since week 6 last year before they played a ranked team, just stop
Man, my boys got handled 🙃
I hope the same doesn’t happen when I’m there this Saturday 🙃
Sorry josh ive been a fan of the show for over a year and never subbed but that stops tonight go horns
Good show 😂
EWERS FOR HEISMAN
Isn't Wink Martindale getting old, didn't he Produce the Art Linkletter Show (kids show) in the 1960's ???
Everyone thought this was last year's Michigan team. I have to say I miss that team very much.
My Top 10:
1. Texas
2. Georgia
3. Ohio State
4. Miami
5. Tennessee
6. Ole Miss
7. Alabama
8. Missouri
9. USC
10. Oklahoma
Those teams have looked the best so far in my eyes
You must be a Sooner fan. Oklahoma looked terrible.
@@coolcatrich so did the entire country, outside of the elite teams
@@DERodgers OU had 250 yards of total offense. Less than. Houston, and Houston is terrrrrrible. They got beat by 27-7 against UNLV. Lol. I'm sure you could pick at least one team to fill that spot over OU.
@@coolcatrich name one
@theMinutemanPodcast Lousiville looks better than OU. Penn St and Oregon are probably both better than OU, despite underwhelming performances. Houston was 2-7 last year in conference play.
It’s tough to beat anyone with an interim head coach.
Wentnto the season opener and said the same thing they're big and fast
He’s taken the jive really players Coach part from Pete Carol and took the serious machine part from Saban…….
Everyone is expecting UM to be a pretty average team this year
Thought you just said their receivers are small but fast, just this week
My biggest concern is Texas discipline. Their false starts drive me nuts and they always come after a previous big play and the false starts are always on the first series of downs of the game. Drive me nuts.
Unqualified Diversity hire for a Michigan man working out well.
Mema Loves Texas!!!
What no one wants to realize is Texas lost 11 to the draft & a few portaled out. They have the depth & reloaded strategically in the portal.
Just to be sure I wasn't wrong, I watched the video you posted before the game. Among many things you said, was this..."I think this one's gonna be a fight." So, post-game analysis is great, but maybe stop trying to say you saw this coming.
Michigan looked soft
Holy glazing batman
The truly elite teams RIGHT NOW find a way to reload every year. Georgia lost 15 players to the draft in 2022 and still won a natty, the year after they lost 10 and won. Michigan isn't TCU, but they have to find a way to reload if they want to be able to be top 4-8 year after year. Texas is there, so is Georgia, Ohio State and Bama after this year.
Michigan was completely inept on offense. It was obvious that they thought they could run the ball down Texas's throat, and when they realized they couldn't, it was too late for a backup plan? This was a failure in coaching.
Michigan didn't trust their QB's. If they tried to challenge that defense it would have been a 40 burger.
Yes Texas Dominated and kicked Michigan’s teeth in and congrats Texas, Michigan doesn’t lose at home a lot you guys are clearly the better team . It was over by half but pump your brakes guys the Longhorns were favourites to win this game. Yes Michigan returns some key players but don’t forget this 〽️team lost 18 starters to the NFL, their Head Coach, DC and is a shadow of that Championship squad that went all the way 15-0 🏆
Basically we were lied to. Wanted to be competitive. Totally embarrassed without a real JJ replacement. F yeah Jimbo
If Michigan had a coach and a QB, they would have given a better showing. GO UT
This was more about how Michigan has fallen than how good Texas is. Michigan might not win 6 games.
83 -12 .. Hook em!!! Finally.. Texas IS back.
That remains to be seen, I must say.
Michigan just won the National Championship so we’re happy and Georgia will take it back in January…

WE WANT ALL THE SMOKE!!! BRING ON OU BRING ON UGA!!! MICHIGAN GOT IT THEY CAN GET IT TOO!!!!
My only fear from this game is that Texas gets a bit overconfident because they dominated a team that isn't actually that good.
Why is no one talking about the fact that Warren needs to be benched? He shouldn't have won the starting job to begin with - give Orji a chance instead of the obvious QB run/sneak play...
Warren is currently the 5th best QB in the Big 10 per stats. Not great but serviceable.
@@travissmith9488 5th best in a non-SEC conference is trash, get realistic. Orji needs a shot.
I tried to tell Michigan fans. You have no QB. Your Oline has been replaced. I predicted 9-3, but with USC looking legit, I’m changing that to 8-4.
I was there. Not even close.
LOL Texas lost to Washington who Michigan smoked.
@@travissmith9488 like I said, matchups matter. Washington had the perfect formula to exploit Texas only weakness last year plus Sark should have stuck with the run more in that game. Michigan did to Washington exactly what Texas should have done but Sark got pass happy. But Texas strengths would have matched up perfectly against Michigan. McCarthy would not have had near the success Penix had against Texas and Texas would have limited the Michigan run jist as well lasr year as this year
@@Bones12x2I agree Michigan would have been a better match up for Texas last season. It would have been a closer game I think but I would have like Texas chances.
Portal a QB. Simple answer, no clue how that didn’t happen other than we won’t spend the money!
Michigan didn't have Connor stallions
Didn’t have him in that win against you guys last year. Get a grip my guy😂
His work in 2021 had a ripple effect which led to better recruiting and staff retention. That team was a joke btw. Ohio state probably wouldve beat georgia then we couldve had Bryce vs CJ. Thanks a lot Michigan. Y’all see Cade McNamara now?
