Josh all I can say is you're awesome man you give the best great in detail videos on the newest items that really helps everybody out keep up the good work Buddy and also thank you.
Does banggood actually have a warehouse in Canada? I thought it was just the US. I think I've answered my own question here but I recently ordered one of those small multi protocol chips for the back of a qx7. It got here in about 4 days and I was notified by Canada post that someone had made a shipping label so I think maybe they do.
The optics are very marginal. I'm like really impressed with this video. This was a 5 star video. Very well done joshua. Thank you for taking the time to make these they're immensely helpful.
Thank you for the "truth in advertising" disclaimer at the beginning. This helps me have more confidence in your review. Hopefully other you tubers will follow!
I have the attitude V6. I bought after you review. One short point you forgot to point out. Adding shark bite to attitude v6 having HD with good resolution under 600. 👍🏼👍🏼
I always get confused when it says SP warehouse thinking spain is eu so no import taxes for me, but then my wife tells me that it's actually Singapore which means I get levied 20% on top of the normal price
I love watching your movies because you are honest, you do not try to hide the fact that you earn, you only say what it is, for a year if I buy something, I always check if there is a link to the store on your list :) greetings and keep it that way !!!
Thanks I’ve been looking at your videos a long time for buying decisions. I bought them 6 months ago and I don’t have eye sight problems but I can’t adjust the diopter to get a single view nor see the full screen but I love the recordings.
Skyzone has great customer service! Just wanted to point that out :) I love my Sky04x! But super stoked for these cheaper options coming out, that I can recommend to my friends.
I would like to point out the possibility that the reason your eyes can't capture the whole field when the goggle is adjusted to your pupil separation is that the grinding of your vision correction inserts are not quite properly centered. Other views? EXCELLENT REVIEW! - Jim
All I can say, is that I’m excited to see how prices for OLED lower and better receivers are implemented as technology progresses. The best goggle today, might be $150 in 5 years.
I was just looking for someone with the 03o's in 2021. Did you buy it new or used? It seems to me that those are out of stock, but I could buy a pair of used ones
I came to a similar Crossroads when I was looking at getting the DJI fpv system. the entire thing boiled down to asking myself what I actually wanted in a goggle setup, while money was initially an object I started looking in the pros and cons of other headsets on the market and since I didn't have any fpv gear to start, buying the digital setup was the way to go for me considering the fact that going with an equivalent analog setup was literally the same price as the digital setup. Minus the URUAV adaptor. these goggles look great, but the extra $300 on a used DJI or sharkbite will take you further IMO.
As someone who took up fpv in the first few months of Covid restrictions in the US, I was really bummed that the 04X came out shortly after the 03O, which I bought. The upgrades seem worth the cash. I'm not really at a point where I'm pushing that video receiver with decent antenna anyhow. Using Sharkbyte with the 03O is a very compelling proposition though. My only frustration there is that it puts the system in price parity with DJI, soo just buy that from the start? I'm sure Caadx with come up with a system suitable for micro quads in the near future.
Thanks for another great video. I know this is 2 years old but I'm looking for new goggles to go with my Tinygo. Just starting out in fpv having fun with the tinygo 4k but would like to upgrade goggles from box goggles around $350-400 something I could grow with as I get new drones. hope you have time to reply. Thx
Optics - I really wish a goggle manufacturer would take the plunge and make some using freeform prism lenses. The Sony Glasstron & Olympus EyeTrek video glasses I have that are literally 20+ years old now have far superior optics to all other goggles & video glasses I've owned/used because they have freeform prism lenses.
Hi Joshua, 'v been a fan of you since I started flying. At the start you mention your disclosure statement: "no editorial input, etc". I think that when a product is sent to you for free so that you review it, it's quite clear that this should be treated as payed advertisement... despite your emitted opinion satisfies or not the product owners. Think about it for a moment.... there may be no editorial input and it's 100% your opinion, buy it really IS payed advertisement. I mention that because here in Europe we made laws to make clear when an influencer is an advertiser or not. I know your motivations are more like "spread the good information, make newbees life easier, knowledge is power, etc", but an ad is an ad and it should stay clear when it is. Greetings and keep doing what you like. PS: I own sky02C goggles and I love them
The whole point of the disclosure is to satisfy requirements about advertising. If someone were to send a product and require approval of the video before release, that would be different than if they sent a product with no editorial input. You are capable of deciding how to interpret this information. I do not comply with European requirements regarding advertising (such as putting #ad in the title) because I don't live in Europe and am not a European citizen. My audience is more than 50% American and they would interpret #ad tags as if every one was a fully paid and sponsored advertisement, which would not be correct. I added the disclaimer at the beginning of the video even when it would not be required by US law, because I want to do the right thing.
The main things that I think are important to disclose are: 1) did I buy the product; 2) was I paid for the video; 3) did any 3rd party have editorial control of the content; 4) am I compensated in any other way if you buy the product, such as via affiliate links. As of a few months ago, I disclose all of these things in every video that involves reviewing a product. I have always disclosed the use of affiliate links per FTC requirement, but I recently realized (at least in part due to a comment from a German viewer) that I could be doing more to make the situation explicit.
Great overview. Initially when they were side by side I was thinking the Oled looked better but when you blew it up it’s massively oversaturated as you say. I think I preferred the lcd at that point. Nice goggles but they almost seem pointless. The reason to go OLED is for the screen and with that image and resolution just don’t think it’s worth it.
That's the problem. Everyone who looks at OLED is blown away by it compared to LCD. Something about the way the GoPro picked it up made it look really bad, like the brightness and saturation of the OLED was too much for the GoPro sensor or something.
Yo JB, I believe you may have misspoken when it comes to what goggle has both an OLED screen and it's the lowest price,....? I've been rocking the Fatshark Scout's for over a year now and I can't stop staring my screen. It does have an OLED screen and it's a nice size. A patented panel goggle optical module to deliver a 50 degree FOV, 1136 X 640 res and to 60 fps and right now RDQ looks like they have one of the lowest price points ( as of today, 4/23 ) at just under $200- by a buck. The. Scouts really have to be tried on in the field to truly appreciate the super sharp screen. It's not oversaturated at all. The OSD Menu is so sweet! It has a built-in fan, built in 10 dbi patch,. Built in DVR and a micro SD card slot that will hold up to a 128gb card. It has little removable leather pads that you can remove on both sides. Just where your reading glasses can squeeze in nice and tight. An extra nose pad, for little shnozz"s and a proprietary immersion antenna that is a smart antenna. I've actually sold 3 pairs of my own Scouts and I got 15% over retail. That's how much people who try them want them and don't want to and even though they paid over retail by 15% , they were easily a $100 cheaper than the Sky zone O2's. Otherwise, a great review for sure. I just would not only mention the Scout's but recommend them for pilots of all skil levels! Thanks! EPICfpvAZ
Thanks Joshua this will help me to choose a new pair of goggles, I'm still using the Fatshark Base goggles with a ground station and badly need an upgrade.
Rapidfire fits easy in the O4x. Steady view isn‘t on par with rapidfire from my experience. Maybe it holds up video as well but out on the racing field I get nearly zero interference with rapidfire whereas I get a lot with the steadyview. With the SkyO4x on PAL with a 1000 TVL camera like the racer 5 the image in the goggle looks as good as the DVR from Sharkbyt to me.
I think this is what I'd get if I started now, I have skyO2X, they're very decent and didn't break the bank. Might not be exactly as good as rapidfire/fusion but I'm able to fly where I want 90% of the time even on 3" with lower powered vtx.
Thank you so much for mentioning the face profile of Caucasians vs Asians... had a set of HDOs after countless reviews online and could not wear them for more than 5min without developing a major headache... tried all the recommended foams etc Only realised there were flatter/rounder face profiles from much extended searching online and i believe a few throwaway comments in some videos...
Everything seems to have gone up, the Tyro series Tyro 129 for example is over $40 over msrp and only available from Banggood, which has twice lost my orders somehow and took months to get refund.
One thing to mention: I tried the EV300D goggles with LCOS displays and I just couldn't stand them! And that's because of the blinking! Some people (like me) are very sensitive to blinking and it's very disturbing! And these LCOS screens do blink a lot! I found that many people just don't note that. But I DO. Total deal breaker for me. I ended up buying EV300o with OLED displays and I'm more than satisfied. So +1 for OLED from my side.
joshua on your video time 15:30 side by side O4X and DJI screen you said the Sky Oled is more reddish and saturated, i have an O4X and adjusting the saturation levels and brightness etc i can be certain you can get the same image quality. In fact the dji image here looks very much a cast of cyan which looks unpleasant.
Small FOV would be the biggest deal breaker for me on all these aviator style goggles. Even the 030 is too small for me but that’s coming from the ev800ds lol.
What the hell is going up with the prices??? A friend of mine bought the ev300o in the beginning of 2021 for about 300 bucks. And I got lucky on the father's day sale of the dji goggles and got the v1 for 380 bucks. Either the chip shortage is real or it is just an argument for the manufacturers to pull up the prices 🤨
I wonder if the prices for goggles going up is also due to the general problem with getting electronics at the moment. The company I work for makes communication devices and computers, both sections have lead times of 30-50 weeks for some parts. We're ordering motherboards without audio chips for example since that helps as get stuff earlier and industrial applications usually don't need audio. From what I've seen this will only get worse with all electronics.
Look at the oled only for a hot minutes, the red hue clears up and it's not as bad. But because the two images are side by side, that affect doesnt work.
Have you checked if they work with sharkbyte ? The older 02c goggles have the same shell and same hdmi socket but don't work. Fatshark sharkbyte use HDCP protection and the 02c goggles can't read it so it doesn't work. Have skyzone addressed that and added the HDCP stuff onto these?
I just wished for some Fatsharks V6 or a skyzone 4l but they ofc aint in stock. Only options today right now are expensive OLEDs. I dont see OLEDs being 150-300 Bucks worth more.
I think skyzone 02O has the same OLED panel of Fatshark Attitude v5 (same ratio, same resolution, same FOV). I bought attitude v5 less than a year ago and I'm happy. I didn't want spend too much (budget less than 250€ ~ 300$) and I will stay in analog for a while, for now HD is out of my budget.
Hi, can you make an Video about flying 6s Battery on 4S Setup. Oscar liang has an post of this. I want to to know what are the difference in performance, flighttime and if it useful. By the way love your videos! Have your Runcam Phoenix JB and love it. Have upgrade my 7 Year old Vortex 150 with it. Greetings from germany
"Bonjour, je viens d'acheter ces lunettes Skyzone 020, mais il m'est impossible d'enregistrer avec le DVR. J'ai essayé avec plusieurs cartes SD que j'ai formatées, mais je n'y arrive toujours pas. Si jamais vous avez la solution, je suis preneur. Merci beaucoup pour toutes ces belles vidéos !"
I’m having problems getting a good focus as well with the IPD adjustment. After I bought these a friend let me try his DJI goggles. Well I guess that was a big waste of $350 😡
Thanks JB, I bough this goggles but I can’t update the firmware, do you know which is the last version and with what name I can find it, that’s because Skyzone don’t tell you which is
I think there could be one correction, the USB port is not used for power. I tried a power bank, I tried a wall outlet, nothing powers on when using the USB port for me. I think it's just for connecting the googles to the computer. Also, can anyone recommend a battery for this? A 6s is too heavy on my head. How much time would you get from say a 2s or 4s?
Wanting to get into FPV. I'm interested to find out if you have gear to sell or give away for a beginner? I've been in RC hobby for 30 yrs planes and a couple heli's. Drones FPV fascinates me.
Hi, i have a question.. I am new at fpv .. In this google you have two screens?! Do you have problem with focusing one eye on one screen and so ignore the second screen with the other eye? Thanks for your channel.. You help me out a lot of time
Hello again... I tried it again today.. My problem is i seeing double... I used all possible settings but nothing helped me.. Do you think my brain/eyes are broken or the google have some issue? Thanks
Fantastic review, Joshua! Thanks a lot! 😃 But is the Eachine goggles out of market? You didn't compared its price. 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Are the antennas RHCP or LHCP? I’ve been searching everywhere and can’t seam to find an answer. Just got these goggles and the connection hasn’t been optimal for me so far (My old Fatshark scouts are out performing them). I’m running a rush tank with one of their RHCP antennas and am considering getting a matching antenna for the goggles. Would this be a improvement over the stock omni antenna?
So as a new commer should I get Fatshark Attitude v6 or SKYO20 or just wait for the O4L? Goggles prices are increasing day by day and been waiting for 2 months to get one.
Personally as much as I hate saying this I think DJI Goggles nailed it in both worlds of analog and definitely digital. I just for the life of me can’t see how Fatshark can charge so much for ANY of there goggles! Fatshark top tear is $700+ and that’s without a receiver! DJI digital goggles are $569.00 and I get both digital and analog out of them and they are well built goggles and not the cheap plastic cheap feel of all of Fatshark model goggles with no receivers. The Attitude V6 I sold immediately after getting them. Horrible FOV on those and receiver sucks. If you enjoy looking at a image that looks literally like a postage stamp then V6 is ok I guess but I feel once you’ve used DJI goggles you are pretty much set on those and they are way more comfortable than any FS goggles I’ve ever used.
Hello sir Can I use these goggles for my TinyGo instead of my box goggles? Also I am wanting to upgrade the middle antenna of my tinygo 4k.. I think it's the video transmitter? The glue came off on it own ,so I guess it'd telling to upgrade it.
I can't get these goggles to focus properly either. It's kinda like looking at a 3D image at times. Never had this problem with any other goggles I have ever tried. Very odd indeed.
@@JoshuaBardwell right now I am rocking the O2x from skyzone... with the lcd bc I bought it when the came out... i am pretty happy with them! I may wanna upgrade if/when I have some cash left over^^' right now I am broke xD
@@soreloser6018 Well for once FatShark could finally release something considering their sharkbyte digital system is already better than analog. Or Skyzone or eachine could release sharkbyte compatible goggles..
Thanks!

That may explain why I had such a hard time focusing when I had my diopters in.

At 18:28 you mentioned "the Canadian warehouse". CN is the Chinese warehouse, not a Canadian warehouse.
Canada is CDN. China is CN. Da-Jiang Innovations is DJI. Joshua Bardwell is JB. I learned something today.
Our Primer Minister is owned by the Chinese. It's only geographically inaccurate. I chuckled though! :)

The company I work for makes communication devices and computers, both sections have lead times of 30-50 weeks for some parts. We're ordering motherboards without audio chips for example since that helps as get stuff earlier and industrial applications usually don't need audio.
From what I've seen this will only get worse with all electronics.
You get what you pay for, I learn the hard way to just pick out the good one and buy it
Look at the oled only for a hot minutes, the red hue clears up and it's not as bad. But because the two images are side by side, that affect doesnt work.
Joshua CN isn't china warehouse?
Me decidí por estas gafas gracias por tanta y tan buena información siempre mirando tus consejos y opiniones
usb port does not power the goggles, I've tried. You can only use the barrel connector port with lipos etc.
Any update on this ? DId they fix this issue ?
@@ninjalemon_Squash don't think they can. 02c , no sharkbyte as far as I know
Finally some decent antennas
I just wished for some Fatsharks V6 or a skyzone 4l but they ofc aint in stock. Only options today right now are expensive OLEDs. I dont see OLEDs being 150-300 Bucks worth more.
What do you think of the Eachine ev300d after the firmware update?
I just ordered my first drone yesterday!!! Now I am ordering the cobra x goggles.
I've been trying to figure this out for a while but is the latency of the DJI analog adapter worse or close to the latency of the Sky 04 X.
How did that hold up ?
@@ninjalemon_Squash it's an assumption, the screens goggles have the specs and same strange resolution(640 X 400 pixels)
Should I buy this or the attitude v6?
Hey Josh can you recommend some goggles for a person blind in one eye? Thanks in advance and I will thank you again.
"Bonjour, je viens d'acheter ces lunettes Skyzone 020, mais il m'est impossible d'enregistrer avec le DVR. J'ai essayé avec plusieurs cartes SD que j'ai formatées, mais je n'y arrive toujours pas. Si jamais vous avez la solution, je suis preneur. Merci beaucoup pour toutes ces belles vidéos !"
I been wondering what the ground station? Anybody?
I am so glad i watched the ending XD
I'm pretty sure you can get an external module bay for skyzone goggles without it.
Good review. Here's a question about the Steadyview module. Would I gain anything by adding another one to my SkyO4X goggles?
I also plan to do this in the near future... can some share their experience?
I’m having problems getting a good focus as well with the IPD adjustment. After I bought these a friend let me try his DJI goggles. Well I guess that was a big waste of $350 😡
Thanks JB, I bough this goggles but I can’t update the firmware, do you know which is the last version and with what name I can find it, that’s because Skyzone don’t tell you which is
Do these work on emax tinyhawks
Which lipo do you use for this googles?
JB The Gwadddd....only thing great about the Sky 03O are the screens. The internal receivers have terrible reception over distance.
Surprised to hear you say this. It's the same SteadyView receiver as in the 04X and 03O, which did very well.
My 03Os also have worse reception than cheap box goggles. Maybe we got an early batch.
@@JoshuaBardwell 03O doesn't have Steady View. Wasn't available when it was released.
I think there could be one correction, the USB port is not used for power. I tried a power bank, I tried a wall outlet, nothing powers on when using the USB port for me. I think it's just for connecting the googles to the computer. Also, can anyone recommend a battery for this? A 6s is too heavy on my head. How much time would you get from say a 2s or 4s?
hello. can you wear your glasses with those goggles ?
No you can't.
@@JoshuaBardwell much thanks for your answer. ir seems only ev800dm allows me to wear my googles inside it...
Is the SKY02O fpv goggles digital and analog?
What is "race day pod" RDP
Can glasses people use o4x?
My issue were with the hdo2 with RF they just dont seem to like the caddx ratel or ratel 2 maybe I have set it up wrong any thing I should know
Wanting to get into FPV. I'm interested to find out if you have gear to sell or give away for a beginner? I've been in RC hobby for 30 yrs planes and a couple heli's. Drones FPV fascinates me.
hello, tell me what is better to take as the first points sky020 or conra x v2 ??
Hi, i have a question.. I am new at fpv .. In this google you have two screens?! Do you have problem with focusing one eye on one screen and so ignore the second screen with the other eye?
Thanks for your channel.. You help me out a lot of time
Both screens display the same image. So your brain shows you only one image.
Okey, so my brain needs to learn that view?
Yesterday was my first time on a FPV google..it was so weird
Thanks mate
When the screens are correctly aligned you only see one image. No conscious effort is required.
Hello again... I tried it again today.. My problem is i seeing double... I used all possible settings but nothing helped me..
Do you think my brain/eyes are broken or the google have some issue? Thanks
Fantastic review, Joshua! Thanks a lot! 😃
But is the Eachine goggles out of market? You didn't compared its price. 😬
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Eachine 03O is out of stock almost everywhere.
@@JoshuaBardwell Oh... I see! Thank you! 😊
I wonder is is just around the same fov as the eachine ev100
No those are more like 24.
hello, if i want to set up a go pro 7 onto any drone will i just need the skyzone googles and a video transmitter ,. thank you.
Josh, I need new goggles!!!!!
Hello sir
Can I use these goggles for my TinyGo instead of my box goggles? Also I am wanting to upgrade the middle antenna of my tinygo 4k.. I think it's the video transmitter? The glue came off on it own ,so I guess it'd telling to upgrade it.
Yes they will work with any 5.8 GHz analog vTX.
@@JoshuaBardwell thank you.
I can't get these goggles to focus properly either. It's kinda like looking at a 3D image at times. Never had this problem with any other goggles I have ever tried. Very odd indeed.
Anyone think about using augmented glasses as drone goggles? Possible?
Wish I had them
I guess I would stick with the Cobra x if I could ever find it back in stock
@fred jones just saw someone selling some on fb market i believe yesterday.
@@lawrencemartin8205 are you USA? www.defiancerc.com/collections/fpv/products/skyzone-cobra-x-fpv-goggles
Yes I am in USA @ fred jones
SKYZONE SKY04L v2 will be in stock soon ?
please answer
@@ΝικόλαςΤζόρβας Sorry, it is discontinued now
Is it possible to replace the screens with better screens?
Just buy the 04x if you want better screens.
@@JoshuaBardwell right now I am rocking the O2x from skyzone... with the lcd bc I bought it when the came out... i am pretty happy with them! I may wanna upgrade if/when I have some cash left over^^' right now I am broke xD
I'm still waiting for digital only goggles that are not from DJI
Welp keep waiting orqa will get there some day.
@@soreloser6018 Well for once FatShark could finally release something considering their sharkbyte digital system is already better than analog. Or Skyzone or eachine could release sharkbyte compatible goggles..
Wait for fatshark digital goggles. They're on it
