I just came through hermitcraft recap and HEY, GRIAN!
When Grian mentioned roleplaying, I literally almost sobbed. I remember being introduced to Grian from SamGladiator and his Yandere roleplay series. That was a wild nostalgia trip.

For the question to Grian, about possibly continuing with redstone. I think everyone has their own way to play Minecraft. Some build, some make contraptions, and other just like to mine and dig. There are even some who just like decorating and “nesting”. I’m glad that everyone has their preferred place.

The only passive mob I can think about that is unique to minecraft is MooShrooms. We need more animals like that. They are unique and useful and quark.

This is the first time I ever listened to whole podcast ever. I really enjoyed it.
I used to have to sometimes listen to podcasts in french lessons.
And even then I never new these existed.
47:10 It clearly wasn't too much, it was necessary. It stressed me out a lot, knowing that whoever is going to be in any way (even fictionally and lightheartedly) against Grian is going to get attacked by his audience. It really sucked to see that happen on Evo over and over again. On Evo it was even worse and it got to the point where people were clearly avoiding Grian because they didn't want to get hate by accidentally doing anything his audience might perceive as a slight against "the Empire".

Yeah, that often happens in smaller communities, especially on UA-cam and it's sad, because Grian is a great youtuber and senseless children can destroy somebody's self confidence by sending hate.

Well, I dont usually watch an hour long video/audio, but spawn chunks gets me started getting into podcasts.... still trying to catch up the lasr 29 episodes

You guys could really benefit from having a bedrock player perspective. In bedrock, stairs and slabs allow light to go through, so you can hide light behind them easily. And bedrock has a feature that allows you to place a block in front of you in the air instead of having to hold shift, turn around and face the block to place it and it makes survival building 1000 times easier. (Yes I know bedrock sucks but it has some cool features too)
Woah how do you do that block placement trick? I play on both platforms but I've not come across this
I play Bedrock on Xbox One, and you only need to press B once (no need to hold the button down) to sneak, enabling one to turn around and place blocks as mentioned above. Not sure how it is on the PC however. 🤷♀
Shay Bowskill it is a feature created for people with touch controls to make block placement easier. I play on Xbox though and it is just as useful with a controller or with a keyboard. You just sort of just look in front of the block you’re standing on and place a block and it will appear in front of the block you are standing on.

I think a hooded lantern would be cool. Like, a larger area of light, but not in every direction.
That's a really cool idea! I think that a variety of lanterns could help a lot. Heck, at this point you can't even attach a lantern to a wall! Such a simple thing. Oversight in my opinion to something they obviously spent the time to put in the game.

End game Minecraft is creative mode except you can still die and your creative inventory is limited only by your farms/storage system.
I really hope you get more listeners to this, it was pretty amazing and quite relaxing while doing homework. Keep the great work!
Thanks so much! There is a lot more content. This was episode 30. We'll be back next week of course but we started back in August. And, around mid fall 2018 we started doing about an extra 30min of content for our patrons.

The beauty of minecraft is that you don't have to update if you don't want. You can play any version from the launcher menu. If you don't like where minecraft is going, just continue playing 1.13.

I realy love it
My personal opinion for lighting is the opposite. Every colour block - terracotta glazed, etc should have a 'carpet' version so you can have smooth non spawnablr floors without lighting. Also the Beatifully flawed discussion is something I brought up with Tangos Villager mod. Its actually interesting th he thd Mojang village overhaul is that its a stripped down version of tangos.
@Yitzy mod is mod. Vanilla is everywhere. And I ALWAYS thought there were too many colour blocks to have stairs and slabs for all of them. 'Carpets' though cool.

I say keep the normal textures. I agree that it doesn't blend with the other stones so well, but I don't care. I think they're better as a contrasting block. Also, once you have a full set of Netherite armor, I prefer the look of Netherite. It's definitely odd when you only have one piece, though.
