Would blowing colored smoke into some kind of high viscosity clear resin create colored bubbles encased in a block of resin? Or would the color particles disperse and leave clear air bubbles (and possibly some colored smudges)?

When revisiting for the multi-colored smoke bubble machine, consider using a lighter-than-air gas as supplemental for pressurizing the captured smoke. Something like helium should give you a touch more loft in the bubbles. With the right mix, you could even fill the whole neighborhood with colored bubbles.

What if you added colored water to the dry ice instead of normal, plain water. Would that make any difference in the color, or would the color just sink to the bottom along with the water and not do anything at all? (I think that's how that works... I'm not really sure)

Would you be able to set off a couple of the same color smoke balls, collect the smoke to then use it for blowing bubbles? Would provide longer bubble blowing options then.
Great idea! I've seen and used this soap bubble fluid that after a few seconds dries and doesn't pop. Maybe try that?!

Can you change the color of the gas coming off of the dry ice by putting it in water that is heavily saturated with food coloring, or just put the dry ice straight into food coloring or other dye?
Aaron D. Rodriguez will not work... you can not really change the colour of the "smoke" since it is pure CO2 gas.

If you wanted to do multiple colors id recommend using those ceramic fogging devices you can get online. And basically have 4 or 5 containers of colored water. This would give you multiple colors of water vapor that can be fed into a bubble machine. Maybe if you had a basic circuit board set up you could even put it in series to make it so it changed in a set way like a circuit down one tube. Otherwise it would have to all go to different nozzles with different bubble nozzles.

Do you think you could make an automated system for the colored smoke bubbles? Like I’m imagining a set up with like a backpack and using it to better spread and distract sight lines with smoke for things like air soft or even paintball.

Glad to see the smoke bubble experiment worked on the 2nd try. Might the temperature of the smoke, in try #1 simply have been too hot for a bubble to form? Extending the out pipe of your first smoke chamber should correct that.
