In case of power/ furnace outage how low would temperature drop in your straw bale house? Would it be sort of comfortable for people in thick clothes? I'm thinking -20 deg Celsius outside.
Hey Ardas, A few years ago we left for a family vacation for a week and while we were gone had 3 days where a cold snap dropped to -53 C. Even when the cold moved on, it only brought in -30 Weather. It was so cold, we couldn't risk traveling back home on the roads. When we finally got home, we discovered the furnace had quit sometime during that and our house got as cold as +2...but I don't know at what point during that time the furnace broke as we weren't there when it happened.
