I can tell you about the 350-B as it was similar to 450 😊 the first model came out in 1965 and they increased HP. The 350 went through revisions to the B model in 1970
And the C model came out in 1974 the 350-D model was the last of the 350 series released in 1986. 😢 The 555-B came out in 1975 the 555-G came out in 1988. In 1960 JD introduced😊 the 1010 and 2010 both remained in production till 1965. My source ( Keith Haddock)
The Earthmoving Encyclopedia
One thing ( Hank) my all thing old equipment STATER friend 😊 on a JD 450-B dozer a friend of mine bought. The engine would run, then starve for Fuel. We changed the fuel filter and the fuel pump, everything you would think would make her run. What we found under the seat right INSIDE the fuel tank top. There should be a plate you can remove. There is a small like filter screen on 450 series
Dozers. Just inside that cover. It was completely covered with crude. In the case yellow paint from cleaning her up for the sale to my friend it had completely covered this very small screen. What I did was just push a screwdriver through the screen to open it up. The owner was with me, and so so happy that his new baby would just run without starving for fuel.
👍👍
😗😗
Rhett
we had a jd 1010 crawler on the farm. what a faithful servant that thing was. with such a fondness i remember. if i could go back in time, i would bring her home.
Hank, you should have the P.B. ready always by now. Just stand back an hose whatever down for 5 mins.
🔧 I still remember your ol King Ranch, Hank! HOW 'BOUTCHA DRIVER! 😎😄 Good job getting this dozer running! It's got KEYLESS starting......lol!! 😊😊 Thanks for sharing!
Hank. When you're doin these videos you should always bring a weed trimmer with you for situations just like this. It just might make your life a little easier.
It would also send the critters scurrying.
Sure wish y’all were closer to me. I’d be a buyer on some but having it hauled to me would exceed the cost of the unit probably. Love to watch you and Wiley revive these machines.
Still here! Never give up!
Cool will it start video thanks Hank and Jeff
Diesel Creek sent me! Love this work. From the UK.
Love these videos Hank! Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for another great video Hank and Tim.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Not a bad looking small dozer unit. Seems pretty good shape yet. A little TLC and fixing and the price is right and you got yourself a handy little machine.
Sorry you could not get it running. Could be electrical or gas, hard to tell without more engine work. Am sure it will run with some more work.
Hang in there with it. Nice to have Tim with you.
Let us know what happens with this unit. Or if you get running. Thanks for everything.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Thanks buddy
Tim? His name is jeff
another great video - have to admit my safety sense went crazy when Jeff laid the channel locks on top of the battery around time 58:00 --
Hey Hank. I enjoy your videos I know that you and Wiley are not mechanics and you figure things out as you go. I noticed that you're always running a jumper wire to get things the proper voltage. I just wanted to let you know in case you did not know that they make a liquid electrical tape to put on the place where you stripped the wire. It is so convenient. It is like a liquid plastic. If you try it you will like it.
Pole saw and weed wacker should be along with screwdriver and wrench. Take care - love the channel.
😁👍 Almost started video . thanks
😊 really enjoy these Hank!
Where's wally he's not been in your videos lately and you not in his
We both been super busy. We'll film together soon, I'm sure.
@@HamiltonvilleFarm good to hear you to are super funny I enjoy watching both of you thanks for the videos and all the hard work that goes into making them
I'm wondering as well
Not getting 3k for that.
I hope they didn't get divorced
you can have an electrical connection that will show voltage to your light but not be good enough to carry current, to operate the solenoid
You just did that for Wily Hank ....... no sparks no show 😂
Good job and God bless y'all
Hank you need a power probe then you can apply power or ground by pushing a button. you will wonder why you didn’t have one before.
🔧 I have a450C use on my farm. I like it because of the weight class easy to move with the gooseneck trailer
Good day Sir thanks for a great video
Where is Wylie at we miss him
Yeah he's been busy.
Enjoyed it, Hank.
Love the country back grounds black cows reminds me of my home Alabama
Check the fuel shut of sylinoid , if equipped with one
I'd clean that add- on positive battery cable they lose connection a lot of times
Still here, still enjoying the vids...... 🔧🔧🔧
Great vids how do you find all of this abandoned stuff
Cool vidéo ❤❤❤
I am still watching and wondering when you will find your remote starter switch , to use on the starter ?.😊
Good video Hank you and Jeff I believe it is you guys done a good job if it was not fuel starved I believe it would have fired right up
Love your channel hank 😊
Thank you
Dang Hank it's in the upper 80's in Arizona and theirs bad weather coming your way
What about a jumper wire straight from the + battery terminal to the starter button? I had an old (of all things) Craftsman yard tractor that a previous owner fitted with a starter button that was rigged like that. Started every time.
🔧🔧🔧🔧there you go Hank 😂
still here as always
Ain't no substitute for Wiley!
He's been super busy.
Good vibes
Im trying to do this things i was gonna get this Oldsmobile running and drive out the spot but i need help hank to get it running and making videos
🔧How boutcha Hank!

Good video
🔧 still here
Good Afternoon Sir , I hope you are doing well and having a great day today Sir ! Where is Wiley ? 😊
He's been busy.
It's the starter brother
Dont know about old dozers but jd tractors the same model take the same key at least some of them from the 80s were that way.You need to carry with you a heavy duty remote starter switch so on all these you dont have to try the contact screwdriver method.
YES the JD machine had the same KEYS to start all their equipment 😊 the new ones have a push button board. That you can program in your own start code. ( Anti theft) Protection. It's neat on those boards a loader operator can keep track of his load outs at a pit. Lots of engine information and stuff the operator doesn't have to keep Note on. The only thing I did not like about JD versus Case wheel loader, was Case kept the shuttle shifter
JD has gone to the shifter on Loader lever control. But that's just me. We have guys going from backhoe with shuttle control and they ask me "How do I shift this loader"
Still here dispite ur jokes hank 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes we're still here😂
When you need the weedeater w/ a bush blade...
I wish people going out to get these things going would come prepared : leather gloves, long sleeved shirts, tools to cut brush and work on them, with, fluids to refill those that need it, good batteries and chargers, leaf blower to get rid of all the accumulated rat crap, spiders leaves etc. as for knowledge and experience you have that, so many people h ave to go get more fuel , sometimes a flame thrower might help to loosen bolts.
😮 still here
🔧
tell the parts guy that u want a fuel pump for a "standard john deere motor"... hahaha it looks almost like one that Wily was working on. lets go brandon
I checked my oil today, wasn't touching oil stick so I ordered a longer dipstick
😁👍
Still here
Could be a two pronger😊
A master lock key will work on the older internationals but I'm not sure if they will work on a JD
Boa noite muito top esse serviço máquina meu amigo
i wish to make another comment. that old 1010 crawler we had busted her front pump on the hydraulic reverser. the neighbor had one in a 1010 he had in the yard with the engine out. i bought the pump from him for $75.00. the problem was that no one could remove it from the reverser. after the four bolts were taken out it was stuck. i took our pump apart and found that the sleeve that the shaft rode on broke. j d did not just sell a sleeve and it was select fit to the pump. i bought a coupling from a plumbing supply house and turned a sleeve on a brake lathe. the first one i when one pass too much. at $1.98, bought another and hit it right. that sleeve lasted for years and may well be still running in that machine. i was 22 years old at that time and was quite proud of myself. oh to be young again.
Every thing is a hammer except screw driver that’s a pry driver 😅😊

You need to go start the 450 dozer for Jim at Field Rows then you could get Randy to help you😂
Positive ground hank ?
Hank, it might could pay you to take a basic auto electrical class. You guys do mainly diesel rigs, but the switches, wiring, and starter systems are about the same overall. Always check for any safety switches, too, for neutral, and seat.

A bad ground since your test light works from the battery
I was just going to comment that myself but I looked through here first to see someone already did
