I agree with almost everything in this video. The only two things I’d argue.
- First being that Andre has much better pitch, power, and versatility than Robbie. Robbie could not have belted Andre’s lines in I Want You Back the way Andre did, but Andre could sing I Think You’re Swell.
- Second, Tori is actually pretty strong in both her highs and lows. In both her duets with Jade and Cat (Take A Hint and LA Boyz), she sings alto while the other girls sing the high harmony, but she also belts an F5 and a G5 in each song respectively with ease. She’s not the strongest of the girls at either highs or lows but Cat is more uncomfortable in her lows and Jade more squeezed in her highs (post-season 1) than Tori is in either one which makes Tori kind of the best of both worlds.
Personally, I’d rank Jade third in terms of average because despite the fact that she has my favorite voice out of everyone, she’s the one who didn’t really improve over the course of the show. She stays solid in her lower and middle range, but if I’m being honest, when comparing her belts in Give It Up to her later performances, she sounds more squeezed in her higher range. I mostly attribute that to Liz Gillies still going through puberty as her voice darkened considerably over the course of the show. Victoria Justice’s voice was already naturally a bit androgynous when the series started, and while not as dramatic of a change as Ariana did for Cat, she did lighten it artificially from season 2 onwards which is what makes Tori’s speaking voice sound a little…fake…because it quite literally was. But in terms of singing, I think Tori and Cat improved over the course of the show which is why I’d rank them the top 2 overall.
In terms of the actors themselves, purely based off talent/ability and technique, I’d probably rank them:
1. Ariana
2-4. Leon/Victoria/Liz
5. Avan
6. Matt
7. Daniella

I swear Beck needed more solo parts! I know that he did that one part when he sang "And beautiful is all I see", but bruh he did that amazingly well! It's a shame he didn't do more.

I have to disagree with your take on the Give it Up performance. Cat definitely outsung Jade in the performance. Cat's run in that performance has never been replicated to this day. Where as Jade's part is easier replicated.

I agree with giving Kat and Jade the win together. I also love Andre more than Robbie as I don't see what you do in him. I know it was called victorious, but there was so much tori that it was a given that she could sing. But in Iparty with Victorious, when Kat comes off of vocal rest, I always think, damn, I forgot she can sing. same with jade with her two main songs of take a hit and give it up is shock as they dont get to sing much

I wonder if it was intentional or coincidental that all the girls mainly sing but Beck acts and Andre and Robbie write. I know Jade directs and acts, but other than that does this gender separation reinforce gender stereotypes, or was it just a reflection of reality (knowing school choirs are about 70% female)? Could also be because the 2010's were a different time.

It was probably a marketing thing. Disney was thriving off of their big 3 (Selena, Miley, and Demi), so Nick was promoting their own main girls. They already had Big Time Rush to rival the Jonas Brothers and Miranda and Keke weren’t as marketable as singers so they kinda put most of their singing eggs in the Victorious basket.
Also probably just came down to the actresses just being better singers than the actors.

In terms of actual range and hitting certain notes Cat, Andre and Jade are better and that’s most due to all three of them being on broadway at a young age.
Tori being the main character and having more solo performances make it seems she the best but in all honesty she’s not. Not a knock on her at all, she’s very talented and can sing but she’s just not better than those threes In my opinion

Which is Daniella Monet singing, not Trina. That's why he separated the characters and actors.
What was with that one good show that Trina sang good in it came out of nowhere and none of the people look shocked or talk about in again it really confused me
It's in the April Fools Episode, it's not canon. Basically, it's more of a behind the scenes thing, because in real life, she is a good singer ahah

Ariana weren't the most important for the show. It was Victoria. That's why they made Sam & Cat later. Jennette McCurdy's Sam character it's the best girl of the whole Nick: she's rude but sweet at same time, she sings very well (better than Victoria I think), she can dance, make shows and control a website, she can ride a motorbike and she is very friendly and it's pretty and very smart.
I think they have to rate all the shows, including "How to Rock" by Chynphonique Miller (Kayce Simon). She's the best at the same time as Jennette.

I do agree Tori/Victoria is talented but you're not beating three Broadway performers.
For me everything is good with veiwer ratings except cat should be number 1 and made 2 but if I could they would both be top

I disagree I’ve watched victorious a lot and I agree with Trina being 6th but I would definitely say Robbie is 5th and I would say 4th would be Jade because even though she has a great voice you hardly hear her sing she sings more than Robbie and Trina of course but her voice is gravely at times cats 3rd because she can sing high but she doesn’t have the type of voice you would expect from a really high pitched speaking voice she sings like Arianna grande sings now even though Ariana is cat it’s not cat Andre would be at 2nd because he makes the music for Tori when she needs it he writes the lyrics and he sings great especially a duet with Tori which is what he always does and Tori would be 1st because she has a great voice she gets every lead in a play that involves singing and she takes the spot light all the time in karaoke dokie against Haliee and Tara she wins the competition. What I hate about these ratings is ppl don’t watch the full show from season one two the end of the series that’s what I don’t like about this but that’s all your guys problem for not watching the whole series not all of you though most of you and this is just my opinion
She only got all the spot light because she was the main character it’s not like she was a side character who wasn’t supposed to be the best at everything
thats kinda biased rating because of course tori gets nearly all the leads and the spotlight- the show is literally centered around her
