It would be great if they published season recaps, possibly with full races for certain seasons. as Bobby was my favorite, seeing all the 2000 season races would be great.
One thing I have noticed that the 90s cars (best looking ones along with early 2000s) where much narrower, leading to a lot of close exciting racing even on 1.5 mile cookie cutter ovals
I was five years old when Bobby Labonte won his first race. Too young at the time. A couple years, started watching NASCAR full time. Bobby Labonte ended up being my favorite driver from when I was ten years old until he retired.
Bobby Labonte has been my favorite driver since I was a kid so this is so cool!!! Also, I was checking my G Shock this whole race. haha. Oh and can you PLEASE upload the 1998 Pepsi 400??? First night race at Daytona!!! I have good memories of that race and would love to see a high quality version of it.
At the start of the Daytona 500 in 1995, Bobby Labonte signed contracts with Joe Gibbs Racing, in the #18 Interstate Batteries Chevrolet Monte Carlo. At the start of the Daytona 500 in 1997, the Interstate Batteries Racing team switched to Pontiac Grand Prix.
I remember watching this race as a little boy. Thank you NASCAR for letting me watch this race again after 24 years. There was a lot about this race that I forgot excluding who won.
This was the first race I remember watching from start to finish, was 17 at the time and we were at a vacation rental hours along the Outer Banks of NC. When I found out Bobby wsa driving for The Coach (Joe Gibbs) I pulled for him throughout his career. I was very happy when he won this race. Thanks for the chance to relive this early days memory
People like to say “Nascar really wasn’t that much better years ago, it’s nostalgia” BULLSHIT. This race was tremendous almost all the way through. Plenty of battling, drivers having to DRIVE their cars, strategy. THIS is what a NASCAR race at Charlotte used to be. Was every race great? No and it never will be, but when people say the racing being better was bullshit, just watch things like this. What a great race.
It was what hooked me the racing was so good..Ted Musgrave never won In cup but the guy had a great 95 and 96 season in points..alot of short track races he lead tons of laps and get bit by some mechanical failure
I feel like early to mid 90s Schrader was always underrated. Also, if NASCAR did a WWE Network like channel with every old recorded Cup/Xfinity/Truck/any NASCAR sanctioned race, it would be an IMMEDIATE purchase from me, and I would pay for it for life!!!! PLEASE do this, NASCAR!! I wanna see every old race! So many small storylines to follow from these old races!
Terry Lobonte's first and last wins were at the Southern 500. Bobby Lobonte's first and last wins could've been at the Coca Cola 600 is Jimmie Johnson didnt beat him out.
41:22 And Jeff Gordon's 1995 got a glitch in it with not only the tire falling off, but then NASCAR slamming the team with a massive fine and points penalty for an illegal hub!
Note in the final 100 or so laps how the effectiveness of the draft becomes a significant subject, especially after Bobby Labonte tagged Earnhardt out of the lead.
Please upload as much footage as you can find of Buddy Baker saying "Bobby Labonte." When said by Buddy Baker, they are the two best words in the English language.
It won't happen, the races used to be an experience, a vacation for some people.. now it's all corporate BS, I definitely still watch races because well, it's fucking racing.. but man, I too wish it was like the stretch from 1994-2003ish. What a time.
Beryllium Wasn’t NASCAR’s most popular season in 2005? Also NASCAR didn’t die when the Chase was created because it’s best year was during the Chase era!
There are 2 Bristol races that NASCAR uploaded a while back that aren’t on the playlist. Spring races from 1991 and 1992. Please add to the official playlist.
I know stats, and names. I’ll admit however, I have not watched many nascar races from the late 80s-90s. This racing is so much more entertaining than the current nascar product. Hope the Gen 7 can fix that!

I'm watching this race live, and Dale just pitted at lap 330, 70 laps to go. The commentators say Dale can't make all the way. Now with 70 to go at a mile and half track, is 105 miles. With a 22 gallon fuel cell back then, he'd be too get 4.7 mpg out of this last run. I think he'd be able to make it if Dale runs about 15 laps saving fuel. Historically Dale got 4.5 to 4.6 mpg not saving. I think he can make it...
Some things have always confused me about TBS’s Nascar coverage, such as the starting grid on cloud looking things and the running order going one driver at a time.
@@jimmy9082 here's the link to 2012 Daytona 500 Jimmy. I think NASCAR is looking more at posting stuff from the 80s, 90s, and early 00s. ua-cam.com/video/vwT2zdqXaS0/v-deo.html
A shame he lost this race a decade later to lucky JJ, could’ve been a special win since it would’ve been his last win in Cup Which would’ve been fitting since it was 10 years after his first win in the same track and same event
The drivers who qualified outside of the top 36 that got in the show based on their points positions. There was also a champions provisional at some point where any past champions can use a provisional to get in the show which I'm preatty sure they got rid of.
The champions provisional was originally invented after Richard Petty failed to qualify for a couple races in 1989. It guaranteed he would get into the field but it had a limit as to how often it could be used. Many of the races Darrell Waltrip made in 1999 and 2000 were due to the past champions provisional.
What I can appreciate from him in the booth was that he wouldn’t try and create drama out of nothing. He had raced long enough and wouldn’t attempt to manufacture something from nothing. I do agree in some respects to your opinion, he really never fit an on air booth personality. Ernie however did a really nice job.
Better give Ricky Rudd some crying towels before he falls through the floor boards of the hauler from the floor rotting from all the tears falling on the floor about Ford being in such a deficit.
If you're not first you're last.
Yes
Bruh
NASCAR YEAH I AM JIMMIE JOHNSON BOOM CONFETTI
NASCAR Can we get a few races won by Dale Sr. added? Also, any chance of the 1998 Napa Autocare 500 from Martinsville?
Ricky Bobby Nascar
I lost interest in NASCAR few years ago but seeing these guys uploading classic races in HD making me interested again.
Cheifsonic9 im surprised too hear the awards show in Nashville, but not happy JOHNSON RETIRING 2020 LOTS OF HISFANS WILL SURELY TRULY MISS HIM

Still not going to watch the car of tomorrw no matter what version.
Love the old school racing!
Fun fact, this was just the second ever NASCAR race with a scoring ticker!
The first was the spring Richmond race the same year, also on TBS
I'm using these videos to experience NASCAR history, race by race. Remarkable age we live in!
Not a bad paint scheme in sight, simple schemes are the best schemes
They dont even have to be simple, just consistent. Sucks to have like 8 different paint schemes for every driver. Cant tell who’s who at a glance

HECK YEAH!! MORE CLASSIC RACES!!
THANK YOU, NASCAR!! :D :D
120,000 people. Sold out. Goals!
Meet the Creatives not including the infield which was packed too!
Goals?
Creatives?
Man, Bobby and Terry are gentlemen racers.
Keep these coming, Good job NASCAR

Great upload. Thanks NASCAR.

We should bring back that style of the starting lineups
Spot that Alan Kulwicki Racing logo on the back of Jimmy Hensley's helmet at 39:22!
Nice eye! Jimmy drove the 7!
Amazing quality!
The camera angles are amazing to me.
41:22 And Jeff Gordon's 1995 got a glitch in it with not only the tire falling off, but then NASCAR slamming the team with a massive fine and points penalty for an illegal hub!
The Batman Movie Theme In the background during the Starting Lineup was pretty cool!!
Note in the final 100 or so laps how the effectiveness of the draft becomes a significant subject, especially after Bobby Labonte tagged Earnhardt out of the lead.
The kiddie grid and never ending ticker FTW
Classic.
Please upload as much footage as you can find of Buddy Baker saying "Bobby Labonte." When said by Buddy Baker, they are the two best words in the English language.
Watch Bobby battling Dale JR at Pocono. Legendary.
They need to get these grandstands back to the way they used to be. Just jam packed with people

I correct myself... I think he's gonna be about 3 laps short... If he don't save.
Even though I remember a lot of these races, I wish they didn't put the winner in the title.
Some things have always confused me about TBS’s Nascar coverage, such as the starting grid on cloud looking things and the running order going one driver at a time.

Jake Hilad You just reminded me that provisionals don't exist anymore. I feel old.
If you notice. ERNIE DIDN'T have much to say about the 4 car. Very little. He even forgot who's driving it. Hmmmm. Bad blood
Dick Trickle has the best sports name ever.
He used to smoke cigarettes in his car while racing
It kinda ruins the video when in the title of the video you tell the winner
Great download NASCAR& OLDY but a GOODY WOW DRIVER STERLING MARLIN ROW4, BODINE ROW7, all right go get em BILL ELLIOTT
Petty was obviously one of the best drivers ever, but in the booth... ehhhhhhhhhh.

Remember when NASCAR was fun to watch to bad it sucks now
Kinda like to watch these in suspense not knowing who's going to win. Title ruined that for me.
Look at that...not one seat to be had..now,they couldn’t sell out a toilet bowl..
Better give Ricky Rudd some crying towels before he falls through the floor boards of the hauler from the floor rotting from all the tears falling on the floor about Ford being in such a deficit.
Tre' Cooledge eat shit
Lol I remember Dale Sr saying on rpm 2nite to get Mark Martin a towel all that crying
