Okay, you're half right. No one should be paying anything over $200 for an 8GB card and no one should be trying to game at 1440p on an 8 GB card either. Also no, 8GB cards are still very useable for 1080p and many decent ones can be found for well under $200. This is some unironic pc master race crap right here.
@@Eric-y4t For 8GB? GTX 1070, GTX 1070 Ti, GTX 1080, RX 5700Xt, RX 6600 XT, RTX 2060, RTX 3060 (although you have to get lucky with a great deal), RX 7600. There are likely others that I am forgetting from older gens but there are plenty of choices out there for under $200. But the problem here is Toasty Bro's is trying to tell you that a near $280 8GB card is a perfect "budget" option for 1440p gaming. 8GB Cards are, and always will be, primarily 1080p bound due to VRAM. For less money you can get a wide range of used 11-12GB WVRAM cards that will give you far more longevity and playability in 1440p going forward.
i would get the 2080 ti. costs less, performs slightly better and has more vram.
The B580 absolutely kills the value proposition of a used 3070. B580 will probably become the budget king unless AMD introduces some kind of 7650 XT that's a throttled 7700 XT at a similar price.
How good does it do RTX😂
It doesnt makes sense to buy an 8GB card in 2024 for more than a 200 dollars
Get a 2080ti for less money more vram and equal performance
This is the exact same model 3070 I have that I scored for $350 CAD
Just buy the rx16750xt and get 12 gigs.
I remember when $250 was the video card that you wanted then again I remember when $10 would fill your gas tank.
if you're gaming on a budget, you're better off sticking to your console.
I dunno, the 4070 is the better way to go, 12gb vram is a must for games now. 8gb is just too underpowered...
You announced the Intel B580 dropped along with the claim it's a 250 USD card. Your video shows it at 370-400 USD though as best price at Amazon. I just went to Amazon and see it right where you video shows, 370 to 400+ for what was supposed to be a 250 card.
What gives?
Just save up a little more money and get a 4070 instead, 4gb more vram, 3080 speeds, uses less power, and is newer.
I picked up a 4070 for £470
Put my fe3070 in my kids pc
All I got from this video is depression that I can’t have deepcool anymore……thanks 😭
I've got a rx 6800 more than enough for me on cod i play 4k to max settings
2080 ti?
2080ti is marginally slower than the 3070 and has worse dlss and rtx
@@kooldudeno-lastname Also has 11gb
@@karlreading3201 and can be found for far better value as well.
@@kooldudeno-lastname First, RT is just a gimmick and hardware unboxed have shown that it just isn't worth the tax, secondly the difference in DLSS capabilities is marginal, much like the clock speeds and throughput of the two cards. Calling the woefully underequipped 8GB 3070 a "budget" card, let alone the greatest "budget" card is beyond a joke.
@bearde_mut9731 you haven't really proven anything. The 3070 tends to go for less than the 2080ti so why not get the better features?
8gb vram on a 70s model of gpu is absolutely ridiculous. Now if it went the route of 2080 or 1080 (i cant remember which) and had 10gb that would be acceptable. But the 3060 had a 12gb version so why couldnt this?
The 1080 and 2080 Ti's had 11GB VRAM, non Ti's had 8GB
Hi toasty Bros can y’all give me a free rtx 3060 because my 1070 broke and W video
Ive picked up some 3070s for even cheaper, one for 200, one for 150 and one for 125
why you do not test with Minecraft ??????????
B580 already picked up by the scalpers
or....you could just buy a Used RTX 2080TI.........
4060ti 16gb can comfortably play indiana jones 1440p while rtx 3070 can't based on benchmarks.
Hell Nah would much rather have 3060 than this
anybody know what type of case that is?
if you can mod the 3070 to 16GB i would it's slay almost any 60 series and some 70 series gpu.
You can't "mod" the VRAM on any card. The imbedded BIOS wouldn't know what to do with it and there is no one out there willing to custom a Nvidia BIOS just to get it to work with double the ram.
You mean intel b580?
Nah, everybody is getting ready to upgrade their rtx 3060s with 2500$ 5090..
Thats good upgrade if you can afford it lmao
Im on 2060s i probably gonna go for 5070ti or something equivalent and may change again until it either broke or when 90 series release
Why limit yourself to 8gb nvidia that does not even have dlss3!?
I prefer just staying away from Nvidia till they stop mocking gamers.
I had a 2060 super and i was looking into a 3070 but i got lucky and was able to get a 4070 super
