- An all new introductory lecture on the hip, focused on radiographic analysis of subtle findings. Aimed at trainees in radiology, orthopedic surgery, emergency medicine, as well as medical students and other health care professionals.
These lectures are amazing. I am a B6 radiographer the NHS not a doctor, but having that deeper knowledge really helps me get better pictures as I know what is needed.

A frog leg lateral is only really done on children. The oblique hip is not the same as a frog leg as the pelvis is rotated while the upper femur is seen without distortion. True shoot across lateral is done extremely poorly with the exposed region often being far beyond the limits of the collector. Ensure your radiographer is using collimation as the difference can be 4X. Theatre screening of the hip is the worst performed by radiographers causing many times more dose to the ortho surgeon than required.
