CRANE 3S is constructed with brand new SUPER motors that allow for Max. 6.5kg/14.3lb payload, It is not simply an upgrade but reconstructs for More Ambitious Camera Setups. The properly 55° tilted roll axis is designed for an unblocked view and allows enough space to mount large cinema camera combos. This is nt a gimbal tips video or a Ronin s vs crane 2 or crane 3 comparison. I just take a look at the Crane S3 and really see if its useful.

This is a full review of the ZHIYUN CRANE 3S which includes how to setup the Crane S3, how to balance a Zhiyun Gimbal and what are the Zhiyun Crane gimbal settings. I test this gimbal for large cabers to see if the motors really are strong enough to hold a large cinema camera. I can say that this is a gimbal for large cameras however you need to be strong. In fact made this Crane S3 gimbal is better suited to be attached to additional rigging, or a car or a giraffe.
Best Gimbal in 2020 and Best gimbal for large rigs can be hard to find but this Zhiyun gimbal has strong gimbal motors that can definitely carry large cameras for stabilization. Ifg you want to know the best way of stabilizing a camera and or the best gimbal stabilizer for DSLR then this maybe overkill. The Crane S2 is probably better.
Would I choose Ronin vs crane gimbal? I'm not sure but my Zhiyun Crane is better than my Ronin gimbal. DJI Ronin S vs Zhiyun Crane S2 or S3. I thing this is best gimbal 2020 and make the best gimbal 2021.

I am fortunate enough to own this beast of a gimbal which I use with my Panasonic AC-90. it’s a very heavy setup indeed with very powerful motors, currently examining a steadicam vest and arm able to support this combined weight
Zhiyun just released when I pay attention to, after watching your video, I want to buy it right now!! You are so great!
Ed, quick question will you still recommend this gimbal in 2023? If not what gimbal would you recommend? Thank you for this video!!
I just started looking at this one, and I've watched countless videos on gimbals. I would say this is the one
I just found a new one for $500...should I buy it, did you?
If you want to improve the usability of this gimbal, add an extra side handle like I did. It has dramatically improved not just picking up the gimbal and putting it down, but in overall use as well. I have a BMPCC4k rigged out, which weighs 4.1kg and the gimbal with motors attached weighs 4.2kg, so something had to be done. If interested, I made a video showing the setup here: ua-cam.com/video/uNvZ6tF7iyM/v-deo.html. I'm still on a big learning curve when it comes to video.
Awesome video!!!!
Do you like it ?
but they not have the dji range development? does it ?
We shoul use Steadicam or what we call to that rig which is attached to our body
Maybe I missed it...what was the total weight of the full cinema rig? Many people get motor shake/vibrations in underslung mode. Experience anything?
I did't weigh the Rib but ill telll you that it was probably above the limit. It was super heavy and I wouldn't recommend rigging that big. Not because the Zhiyun Crane can't handle it but the operator can't. its heavy. As for the motors shacking. This happens when you fist rig it up and turn it on. you then just have to connect the app and turn up the strength of the motors. the app loaded every time and was super easy to use. fixes the problem instantly.
@@clearlyedThanks. Yeah, my rig is around 12 lbs. You should think of using the 3S along with an Easyrig to take the weight off you. You're based in Vegas as well right?
Would something like this work for my Panasonic hvx205 I think it weighs 4.5lbs
Looking for something thats going to hold my canon xa40 with a view finder attached on top... mines obviously a-lot lighter. I think this is a winner
Which Cam is this? You didnt mention. Seems C500.
Is there any ronin that can do this?
this video is very smooth
Hey Gregory. Awesome Video. I have a Crane 3s Pro and a full big rig canon c70 with zoom cinelens. What kind of baseplate you use in this video? I wanne use my own 15mm rods on the gimbal. But for the balance, my setup is to big/tall/high. I need to go more down to the crane 3s baseplate. How can i do it? Thanks and greets from zürich switzerland 🤍
how many kg was this camera setup?
Thanks for the tips always very valuable videos
My pleasure.
siiiccckkk love it , but someone should get a solution for the weight distrubition.
did you ever see if the ronin was capable ?
Would this work for a Panasonic Af100?
I have the c100mkll on a Ronan S and its perfect
Interesting bro, like from Pakistan🇵🇰
But is it heavy tho?
can anyone please tell me if you can unscrew the legs on the bottom?
You're an absolute madlad. I would never rig gimbal like that. That being said I think that I found good gimbal for me.
This is great entertainment, Nice!
It can be seen that the picture jerks up and down 👇 when moving forward
By the way, in this video on UA-cam, when you move forward, you too, just like me, jerk the picture up and down when you step with your feet. Crane 3s is unable to stabilize it
That is one heavy t-rex gimbal version! Was about to buy.. But.. ouch!
My problem is that when this product is advertised and showcased, it's always with cameras that aren't actually "big." I want to use this with a Sony HDW-F900R, HVR-S270U or Canon EOS C700 FF. Actual full sized large ENG shoulder mounted camcorders and Cinema cameras. When I can see something like that with this gimbal, then I would actually be impressed and want to buy one.
hmmmmmm. I would have to disagree. That's like saying an olympic swimming pool isn't big because the Atlantic Ocean exists. For a gimbal of this design a rigged out Canon C200 most definitely IS big. the cameras you are talking about are shoulder mounted ENG cameras and that's exactly what they are 'shoulder mounted'. they will never go on a gamble of this design and the physics for a person to hold it just doesn't work. they could make motors that worked I am sure but a person would never be able to hold it out in front of them. This design is usually for small mirrorless cameras which means that this camera definitely is actually big. just like a small home swimming pool and olympic pool is definitely big.
Haha, you should create a fitness 💪 video for filmmakers! Great video!
I want this for my s21 ultra is it worth it
😂lil bit overkill don't you think
I’ve been saving 100 from each of my film jobs for the last week… I have 400 on cashapp.. 2 more jobs and I will have purchased the crane s3 finally.. just off film deposits
Well, but this probably won't be a lineup for an all-day event. 😀 At the end of the day KO hands.
I feel like I need to head to tbe gym and push my forearms for 6 months before purchasing this
i'm afraid the Canon's just barely hangin on for dear life...too much---jeez i got this c100 here lol what to do
Is this channel gone?
Why not views???
you must be gr8 weight lifter till now lifting this gimble
Видно, что дергается картинка вверх вниз 👇 при движении вперёд
FRIEND THANKS FOR THE VIDEO. CAN YOU HELP ME ? I USE CRANE 3S together with a BLACKMAGIC 6k camera. I need to make a good balance. The fact is that this camera, unlike all other cameras, has a displaced center of gravity, so it is very difficult for Crane 3s to stabilize this video camera on a gimbal.
I would pull the camera back a little so the body can rap around the motor a little bit. that way it will bring back the center of gravity. You could also add a few little weights to balance it out. Ive done this with the gimbal and its done a great job. I will also so this. Although not recommended this Zhiyun Can S3 I s so powerful that it flies when not perfectly balanced. In fact if you are well under the mist it pretty much flies anything with hardly and balancing. I hope this helped.
Photos In Color Hello. I did not quite understand. How to understand the camera back? Do you have whatsapp? Can I send you a photo of my gimbal? I have been suffering for 6 months, the picture twitches, vibration when turning
Photos In Color he is unable to stabilize. for 6 months now and I could not solve the problem
Photos In Color I am at the top 👆 of the camera I use an external battery and I also attached an SSD disk there. You say I need to add weight. So tell me how much weight, how much and where to add it?
It's easy to balance a BMPCC4K/6K, you just have to do it the right way. I've shown how it can be done. It doesn't matter if it's a fully caged rig or not.
This video made my back hurt
That haircut tho.
to much weight bro
gosh, what a bulky piece of crap huh, lucky tech has advanced since the 90s
Same picture quality with a you Phone... ?? I do not see a need for this huge cams... people see only the picture and (mostly) not the details aka ISO skin colour etc etc... green skin? A Martian... yellow skin? A man from Lemonia... 🤣😜😂🤣😜😂🤣😜😜🤣😂😜🤣😜😜😂👍👍🤗🇨🇭
Im not exactly sure what you are referring to here. Are you saying that I don't need a big camera and I could just use a phone on a small gimbal. if so I can somewhat agree. phones are incredible nowadays and the quality is incredible. For many jobs they are the best jpb. But on a film set we need multiple lenses, global shutter, balanced XLR mics, Rack-able focus, and generally a different 'feel'. But ig you just need a an incredible image that looks great then a phone will defineltdo the trick. In fact I have a video comparing and iPhone to this canon C200 in RAW. you would check it out.
