Fun tutorial. I can sew along with you, you have such a nice pace. Great tip about leaving that extra fabric at the opening. That makes turning in the seam allowance so much easier. Thank you!
Too cute and I don't know why I have never thought of making a spine like that. I will now though :-). Liked and subscribed so I don't miss any of your videos.
How adorable is this needle book. I'm going to make one but I need it taller for my long doll needles too. So I just have to adjust my sizes of fabrics. Thank you. This is the best tutorial on making these types of books.
This is a terrific video...lovely design, beautifully explained ..the filming is bright and clear and your voice and instruction mesmerising ..thanks so much for sharing
Thank you! I enjoy making little sewing projects. The filming is all done on my old Samsung Note 5. I'm happy you enjoyed the video and took the time to comment. Thanks
At 2:39 what is that cute little press called? Some kind of mini iron? That would be great for small projects. Traditionally the needle books were a child's first sewing project, where they'd practice their hand sewing stitches on the felt, and then construct the book to keep their precious needles. If you use wool felt (not craft felt) for the actual part that the needles go into, It's supposed to keep them from rusting . I picked up some wool felt and it feels nice to the touch, like it's hand lotion, from the natural lanolin in the wool I guess. Craft felt just feels dry.
Hello, Monica and thanks for viewing my video. The iron I purchased from Hobby Lobby. It is called The Mighty Steam Iron from Dritz. I made the ironing pad and made a tutorial. You can find it here- ua-cam.com/video/xOsdaw8PLN8/v-deo.html.
I’m new to your channel and love your design May I ask where you got you cordless iron I enjoy watching your video Thank you for sharing this with me and be safe and God bless you and yours and everything you touch
Enchanting little needle book. I loved your tutorial. I’ve just started sewing and embroidery and I’m obsessed with needle books right now! 😂 I’m going to subscribe and watch your other videos. Thank you so much!
I’m so happy I stumbled upon your channel Vistra! Your tutorial is one of the best I have seen, slow enough for me to follow. Thank-you. I’m Looking forward to making several of these precious needle books for my granddaughters for Christmas! I just bought a sewing machine at a garage sale, I have been trying to figure it out for weeks. It didn’t come with any instructions. I’m pretty sure it’s the same machine you are using. It’s a Brother Runway Edition. Is there anyway you’d be willing to do a tutorial on how to use the machine ? It would be so helpful! 🌸
Hi Sandra, you could also try to google it to find the instruction book that came with your Brother Model and you could maybe print it out or save it on your computer. Have fun Sewing!
I've been binge watching so many hand sewing videos right now, and I noticed that you don't wear a thimble lmao. Is there a reason for that? It seems to be very much recommended by almost everyone I've watched.
I really don't know. Before selling, I would look at my cost to make and research if someone else is selling a similar item to use as price point reference.
So cute!!! I'm a book lover, love the spine. The only one I've seen that actually resembles a book. Great job! Thank you for sharing.
I love the way you explain everything in detail! I have learned so much from you. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!❤❤❤
These were adorable! I love the use of tiny buttons.

Very nice. The Needle Books are adorable!!
This is so cute. Maybe I will give it a try. I don't have a sewing machine so it will have to be hand sewn. It takes longer but I love hand sewing.
It will be so beautiful with hand sewn pieces. Have fun

I like to shorten my stitch length about a half inch from the opening. That makes the opening stronger for turning. Love your tutitorals

How have you made your ironing mat please.? Hx

I do. It just depends on what i’m sewing. If it’s hard to move the needle through, I most certainly use a thimble.
You do very nice work young lady.
Wrap the thread around the needle! 🤯
What you sell this for if you were to sell this?
I really don't know. Before selling, I would look at my cost to make and research if someone else is selling a similar item to use as price point reference.
Time to learn a “hidden stitch”. No whip stitches to close the bottom of the cover… please. Cringing. Otherwise it’s great
Life is short, and time is precious. Try to have a more positive outlook, and if you can't, just move on.
