Take a run down the famous DH Men Trail in Finale Ligure

- The world famous DH Men MTB trail in Finale Ligure, Italy, also called DH Uomini. This iconic trail was raced in the EWS Trophy of Nations and has epic views combined with a tough rocky descent. This trail is easily accessed on the pedals from Finale Ligure town.
DH Men is rated a black trail in technical difficulty although voted as double black on Trailforks. The DH Women trail next to it is a blue in comparison with only the final section being a black joined with DH Men. In our opinion this trail requires at least a trail bike or enduro bike for an enjoyable ride.

It’s crazy different! This was day 2 and it was totally alien 😅. Definitely getting more comfortable now 💪 can’t wait to see how you get on on your trip. Imagine conditions will be very similar!

Totally! I think it’s one of those that the more you get to know it and learn the lines the better it gets. Haha had a free night but since then have been busy eating pizza and gelato 😆
Love that trail - you’re right, no one can understand what it’s like to ride until they’ve ridden it, it’s like nothing else with that lose marbles. Guides say it’s a lot easier to race because the tape helps you with line choice, it’s so wide and hard to know where to go at times!
It really is! So different to the other trails here too. I can imagine as it’s so hard to pick lines as you go! I guess it’s one of those that the more times you do it the easier it gets 😅
That looked amazing, I was meant to be there in 2020 till covid stopped our holiday.
Ah that’s gutting. Hopefully you can get another trip sometime. It’s a really super place. We were lucky we got here in January 2020 just before things went mad!
Won’t get out this year, hopefully sometime though, off to Madeira this year for the Transmadeira, looking forward to ur next vids.

Thanks! It was maybe a little hard for us on day 2 😅 but it was fun for sure! Type 2 fun in some places maybe! Hahah we did watch it on tv if that counts 🤣 there in some respects!

That looked intense. Steep loose stuff is all the harder riding blind. Not knowing if there are places ahead where you might need to be a lot slower increases the fear factor in those loose conditions. If you know the trail, and know where the places with good grip to speed check are it would really help. But gorgeous ocean views. Hope you're also getting some beach time on your trip!
You’re so right! We’ve started finding our favourite trails and riding them a few times to learn where we can find grip and let off the brakes more. It’s much better that way! The views are phenomenal 😃. Definitely making the most of the sun!

let me get this, In Scotland you good soil, but always wet. In Italy sunny and dry, but the soil needs to moisture? sometimes you just can't win.. ;)
our local down hill park is in a valley, with a pond. Some spots just beach sand. The little one sinks.

Yep spot on! It’s the total opposite here 😅. We got told it’s only rained a couple of days this year so far. It’s crazy loose! Getting more used to it each day though which is good! Wow that sounds nice but also hard to ride! Thanks, lots more content coming 🤘
