Does this apply to attacking a weak second serve?

Played a match against a guy that has a weak floaty second serve. Found I struggled with adding pace and would send back a mediocre shot. His shorter serve brought me up and the weak return would open up the court for him to hit a good shot. Just watched this video and going to use the wide open stance. My goal is to have top spin and hit a shot that puts him under a tremendous amount of pressure. Fingers crossed!

Happy to report that I've improved a lot with this shot. I wasn't quite hitting the put away or winners like you hit in the video but definitely hitting a nice solid shot deep to a corner and winning a lot more points now. We absolutely dominated tonight playing doubles.

Take breaks. Don't hit all 300 balls at once.

Make sure you set it up so you have to move your feet to get to the ball. In other words, don't feed it to the spot where you're standing. Set it up so you're forced to take at least a few steps sideways or a few steps forward to hit the ball. This will train your sense of balance as well as add cardio to your practice session.
