Ages back, I was in several Christian missionary schools (dad had transferable job), there were several Muslim girls , everybody came in uniform school uniform... There was never ever any Hijab issue. We, the Non-Catholics had Non-religious Moral Science class, the Roman Catholic students went for Catechism.
We felt a uniformity equality solidarity unity, wearing the School Uniform.
It was not negation, it was inclusivity.
In school Religion never became an issue.
