As someone who watches all videos in two speed, your accent is absolutely understandable. You don't talk too fast at all. 😊
for me english is a second language and I understand everything as well :)
English is a second language for me too, but I for one would like you to speak more slowly. Just so following you would be more relaxing. Other wise love your knitting style, colour choices and everything. Greetings from Finland!
English is my second language and I watch at 2x speed as well and imo Florence is perfectly understandable
I find your accent lovely and easy to understand. Nor would I have said that you speak too quickly, I find the pace of your videos perfect, not too fast and skimpy with the details and not too slow and dull.
With regard to your gathers, I would recommend that when you block it you don't stretch the gathered areas - then once it's dry, put the gathered areas over a tailors ham or put some towels into a suitable shape and steam the gathered area and manipulate them into the shape that you want them to fall in. It's looking really lovely.
Hey hi! It is indeed me who knit your Step by Step Cardigan in Noro Silk Garden Sock Solo plus a mohair strand!! When you were showing your S1 Omitama plus the baby pink mohair (but before you mentioned me) I was LITERALLY screaming at my screen to “make your Step by Step Cardigan with it” 😂😂 I really love the resulting fabric: 16 sts/10 cm is truly the perfect gauge for that yarn combo and it has enough drape, it’s not stiff and not heavy at all 👌🏼
A lovely podcast! I would definitely be interested in hearing about your favourite podcasters!
Please give us the option to pay you something for the new pattern. Love your work and videos and want to support your efforts. 😊
I don't miss much of what you say, but even if I did, it's worth it. I love your podcasts. I also like Those Twins Who Knit and Danish Musings.
😊 i finally had a day to sit and knit and dive into knitting podcasts ! Always enjoy your input and generous information on yarn and patterns.❤ lots of inspiration and answers to my questions on the the Loops cable sizes and fit. Been eying that one!
Florence - love your podcasts!
A good substitute for the bruslight cashmere would be Gedifra laura. Its a similar fluffy yarn but with alpaca and cotton and it has the exact meterage. They are only 5 euros per ball.
Great podcast, thank you. I use an old ball of light yarn to place in puffed sleeves to block them or a pair of socks. 😊
Yay! It always makes me so happy when I see you’ve posted a new video! You could always make a o/circular neck step by step cardigan out of the noro sock and mohair? I think that would be super cute!!!❤❤
You are wonderful and I enjoy watching your podcast and all you tutorials can’t wait for your cardigan to come out. Awesome awesome
Hi! Iam watching your podcast and knitting my first sweater- step by step sweater btw 😊
Just went to and from Stockholm as well, but from Copenhagen and it’s was no problem having my chiaogoo metal needles through security. According to my local yarn store it’s a myth that you sometimes can’t get the needles through 😅
@@nony_mation I see - a bit sad, when all you want to do is knit🙈 but lucky you, that the guy was nice in Istanbul! I only had my chiaogoo with me because my local yarn shop owner, said it’s no problem here😅
i also tought the yellow socks would match your yellow jumper sooooo well!
It was great catching up with you and your knits, Florence! Your step-by-step cardigan looks beautiful, as well as your cable jumper! Can't wait for your new pattern releases, too :) I'm always interested in hearing podcasts that people enjoy watching (I love Francesca's podcast, as well :))
As always so many pretty pieces 😍 I’m always looking for new podcasters, so it’s really nice getting recommendations 😊
The noro omitama + pink silk mohair combo has so much potential; I'm sure it'll look really good! I knit the cardigan number 8 with that colorway, held with a strand of KFO silk mohair in dusty artichoke, and the noro really blended in nicely with it. I think cause there are so many different flecks of color in it, it works harmoniously with colorful mohair 🌈
I would love to see other podcasts you enjoy. I am a beginner and am learning so much from your podcast. Thanks!
oh! i cannot wait for the cardigan pattern! i am currently working on your top-down sweater -- it's the first sweater i've ever knitted. i'm about to pick up the stitches for the first sleeve & i'm a bit nervous - but i'm determined. lol i've already bought yarn for my second one, since my confidence was bolstered about a third way through my first. thanks for helping me widen my knitting world & create things i will love wearing. keep up the great work!
😻😻😻😻😻 5/5
I do understand and I will wait and that looks like nice yarn. I prefer cardigan over sweaters for layering works so much better
You could try swatching with drops brushed alpaca for your blouse (if it's not too irritating for you)!! Btw, great video as always
You could swatch it with the Camarose Midnatssol! It's an alpaca mohair alternative that's a little thicker.
I love your podcasts and also I love the Italian Knitter. Of course you are my favorite... I am interested in everything you decide to share... thank you
the light blue gathered waste top is beyond stunning and that color is absolutely your color. You will look beautiful in this garment. How many times a day to people stop you on the street to ask if you are Anya Taylor Joy?!? I cannot wait to experience your new cardigan. I wish I could find the Noro yarn in the "Sake" colorway but it is globally impossible!! Love your podcast
Gorgeous projects, but those mittens are my favourite!! Immediately went on to purchase the pattern!
Always inspired and in awe of your knits Florence. Could you show how you store your circular needles please. And I would appreciate an episode including your likes re other podcasts. Thanks.
I love the yucca socks ❤
Thank you for another super informative podcast.
LOL your Math/CS was showing when you started Psetting the number of balls of yarn you used
Hi! You look beautiful! Thank you so much for the free patterns.
I love your selbu mittens! They were definitely worth the hassle in my opinion😍🤌🏼 Also your blue “ethereal” top is so so cute! Maybe another yarn combination could be one strand of mohair held with one strand of alpaca 1 from isager?🤔 Always such a joy to watch your videos🌸
as a non native english speaker i love your accent !!! also you held that pink mohair against your face and it thinks it suits you so much
alpakka silke for the blouse!!!
Maybe you can block the sleeves with tennis balls or some sort of ball that will keep them puffed up as they dry?
Cumulus by Fyberspates would probably be the most easily accessible suri alpaca lace yarn on the market!
Noro yarn is just too beautiful. I love looking at swatches of it. And the Sock Silk one with this mohair will look beautiful for sure. Maybe as a different cardigan if you feel that another Step by Step will be too similar? It for sure has to be something in stockinette.
I absolutely adore how calming your voice is. Your podcast episodes are so chill. ❤
EDIT: Wouldn't it solve the issue to take wooden needles on flight? I've heard that they can take away metal ones, but do they have the right to take away wooden ones? But also I took weird things on the flights, had overweight luggage and no one cared, so I definitely have exhausted my luck for the whole life 😂 But it was in 2015, so it's definitely way more controlled now.
I absolutely adore your cardigan - it's stunning and I will definitely be making it! I too love the Italian Knitter's Podcast and I'm sure her version of your cardigan will be beautiful as well. I also enjoy Knitters Niche Podcast - so if you get chance take a look.
Maybe try a single strand of Gepard kid silk 5 for the blouse swatch
Nice work.....❤
Just don’t block it!
I would recommend you Thosetwinswhoknit if you are not familiar yet, they are my favorites ❤ please share your favorite podcasters as well 😊
tbh when it comes to airport security and knitting needles, best thing to do is check the specific airport's regulations! if it says that it's good to go in a carry-on then you're probably safe, especially when it comes to areas of europe like scandinavia where knitting is a really popular hobby
Yeah! I think a lot of airports don’t have specific advice for knitting needles though
You can always take knitting needles and crochet hooks on a plane. I recommend putting them in a case. Just make sure you take sewing scissors or smaller scissors. I have had the Montréal airport measure my scissors before.
Unfortunately I have heard quite a few people saying they had knitting needles confiscated before! It does seem like there isn’t a consistent rule
Loved this latest episode! I would love if you shared your favorite knitting podcast recommendations, I'm always looking for more inspiration :)
English is my second language (Level B2) - I have no problems with your accent.
Do you have any notes on the adjustments you made for the waffle loop sweater? Specifically in the neckline! Thanks!
Is that Moomin on your phone case? 😄 I'm really looking forward to the step-by-step cardigan, I've never knitted one before.
@@handmadebyflorence 😮 Amazing! Because you find them cute or did you read the books? 😃
Actually my first moomin experience was finding the mugs in a shop as a child! But since then I have read books too
@@handmadebyflorence Still can't believe I found another Moomin fan this way! What do you like best about the books and the Moomins?
Lace spring knit please.
As a new Knitter, I would love to test for you
xXX👍👍👍
Can I ask how the Zipper Sweater for your boyfriend is holding up? I’d love to use the same yarn combination for one of my own 🥰
I think surprisingly well considering how much it was worn! Very little pulling (although that would be an easy fix anyway) and mostly holding its shape very well.
I’ve been waiting for Knit dresses that would look good on me and yes, that would be great in address because there’s enough after the waist to go over the hips loosely and be address and not make you look like you’re a moose
Yes to podcaster episode! Check out '"ali makes everything" if you havent. 😊
i would definitely be interested in a video on your favorite podcasters! also very excited for the upcoming patterns 😊
seconding this!✨️
