Great video! My wife LOVES the towel hook. Since I added that one little addition to the bathroom, she spends way more time in there, and she’s generally in a better mood! She must love 3D printing!
LMAO
Lol I just got this because of the comment below lmao
Ikr 😂🤣🤣🤣
X.X
I'd like something for the bathroom that makes my daughter spend LESS time in there.
8:45 -I don't think that's a towel holder....
hahahahahah looks interesting indeed
Yeah thats a... well not something I'm going to hang in my bathroom thats for sure.
Haha Was wondering if that was intentional to get comments :) Worked ;)
ahahahahah
Nope, definitely not a towel holder...lol
The "Towel Holder" at 8:44. You sir have earned my Like and Subscribe.
Towel hook my friend lol
Exactly what I came to say.
Dropped the soap hook

There is nothing new under the sun. Everything is inspired by something that already exists. I don't sell anything because I am retired, but I see nothing wrong with selling your time and equipment. Thanks for the ideas, a new subscriber from New Brunswick, Canada... Be well...
love the orange peeler lol
I have ten of them at the tips of my fingers
I like the hook
@@adamw9790 I’m still trying to figure out if did that intentionally or didn’t even notice. I’m guessing intentionally
@@brantonbeall9061 Nah, he skipped over it too fast in my opinion. Best case of pareidolia ever.
3:26 That Oreo looks eerily similar to a beheaded Reese's Cup.
Yep, lol
I'm a retiredIndustrial Designer and I don't comment often on UA-cam videos. I have to say that your video is most accurate with regard to the notion that you can use these ideas to inspire new ones. That's exactly how it's done in the professional design world. There is a saying that everything is derivative and there are no 100% unique ideas. Designers use mood boards, reference images, and even other designs to help them come up with new ideas. One of the best examples is apple, who if you look into it you find that they have copied very closely many of Dieter Rams designs. And, if you ask him, he will say he's honored by that fact as well. That is how professionals work. Good job with this video.
I thought it was just rushed to be honest. The "oreo" is a reeses peanutbutter cup. Also that is NOT a towel hook lol... thats CLEARLY a wall mounted dildo... If hes going to make a video he should double check it before he posts.
So true! Same goes for architecture, interaction design, etc. all creative fields. There's no invention/design that is not influenced, inspired by another idea that comes before it. Usually it's an amalgamation of ideas that creates the best products..
Yeah you take a design that you know works and put your own spin on it instead of taking a risk on an untested idea.
Not only are they inspired by something someone else thought of, but thousands upon thousands of ideas have come from God creation itself, as people study animals, plants, the human body, etc... Yet today man can't even come close to the way God designed things such as the human eye, or heart or ...
Love your energy and all these awesome ideas!
I'm just starting to 3d print and this video is very motivating!
Thanks!
Appreciate
This is awesome that you make these straight to the point, uncut videos. You deserve non of the hate you get. Keep it up man!
Thanks man
I disagree. He should proofread his work before he posts it. Just look at 8:45. That's literally a wall mounted dildo, not a towel hook. That mistake will probably demonitize his entire video... He claims he would rather get something posted than nothing at all, but those are not his only options. Not to mention this video wont be able make him any money now, because of the dildo, so is it really better than nothing? If he had simply taken 10 minutes and rewatched his own video just once he would have noticed the oreo is a reeses peanutbutter cup and that the towel hook is really just a sex toy. Don't congratulate people for half assing things or they will just keep half assing them. He needs to actually try.

Perfect! Thank you so much for your generosity sharing! Good luck!
Ive got so many ideas of what i could make. I dont even have my printer yet and im just all over the place looking for inspiration. I know im going to have a lot of fun doing this
I just started learning about 3d printing. Thank you very much for the ideas!
Hell, 3D printings been pretty big for like 5ish years now and still the best things people can do with them are make hooks and bowls? There's gotta be better stuff out there. These are all dollar store knick knacks.
Agree
These are all great ideas. Looking around for a starter 3d printer. I hope to start sometime soon.
Thank you
New Subscriber and 3d printer owner. Came across your video. Pretty awesome. Thankyou 👍
My wife loves the towel hooks, she already made me print it in various sizes.
Love it, which version , small and mighty or long and limber?
"Innovation" requires a step change from the last thing. "Inspiration" means using something as a starting point. Copying someone else's work and customising it with someones name is neither of those things. You should still check the license of the thing you are 'copying'. If you want to upgrade or change the thing, technically that's a "remix" Most things have terms that limit commercial or remix use, and just because you built it in fusion, does not make you immune from the copyright police. Please don't take this a me hating on you, just please be respectful of the original creators intent.
I appreciate your angle Tribal
well said
I think you might be too protective without being aware of how copyright works. Copying someone else's work is not okay when it's an art, but lets be real, most of the things here are functional in design and just slight changes are in most cases enough for no legal implications unless the designer has a patent. Real world things after being made by 3D printing are not purely artworks. How else do you get Ender 3s after someone's 20year old patent and iron grip on 3D printer finally expired? Technically, you should respect the artist if he is contributing pure art but please do not confuse a tool they create with art. Someone else may not be able to resell that STL file but any 3D print made from these which are functional are to be protected by patents mostly.
This is not a view against thingiverse creators as I do not use any commercial 3D prints in general but to make people aware that you can't just attach a commercial license to everything and let hopelessly unaware people protect you if your work is not meant to be protected. Functional works require patents and if you don want to share, don't do it. Share it because you think its helpful but accept the implications. In that case at least people have incentive to credit you for the work rather than just straight up ignoring you even if they used any part of your contributions if its not patented. All unique art aspects are different than everything stated here however.
@@crosscy9387 Thanks I agree with your words well said
Had to comment to clarify something with others negative comments. Depending on the license you CAN sell Thingiverse prints. It has to be licensed correctly however.
Look at the license. If it says you can use it commercially as long as you give credit to the artist, I believe its called creative commons Attribution 4.0 now then yes its sellable.
If it does not have a license to sell the item. Then THEN you better not sell it
That's correct! I don't know if I skipped a part about who it was made by or not on that page, but I'll look again.
Love the ideas ☺️ great video 😁
This video was very helpful and I will take a lot of your suggestions in my up and coming 3d printing business
if you buy a 3D printer you can print whatever you want🤷🏽♂️ thx for the video my guy

I love the suction cup wall mount on my orange peeler
You showed us a shelf with a drawer. Where would I get the design from and what type of filament would I use to make it? Thanks in advance.?
thanks for the ideas! I have to mention it, though- that is a REESE'S, not an OREO
I have my own towel holder!
8:37 what a great idea!
Glad to see the used car salesman vibe is alive and well in 2022
8:45 My wife was asking about the Towel Hook and wants me to make her one now.
Everyone's wife wants that towel hook. Especially in that color.
Be sure it's a resin print ... And food safe 😅
how do you not know what a oreo cookie is or a soap dispenser? LOL
I’m Assuming you’re talking about the simplicity of these designs, but the point of this video is to stimulate ideas it is both a combination of all the ideas together including their functional aspect I get some of the stuff is completely in your face stupid but the fact is sometimes people need a creative nudge to come up with their own ideas I appreciate you watching Marcel

Awesome video. New sub. Don't apologize for something you DIDN'T do.
You're doing a great job! Please ignore any negative comments.
These are pretty cool, although surely the filament has to eat into the profits quite a bit? What filament materials do you recommend for products like this?
That's not an Oreo. It's a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.
where can I find the model for the adjustable wrench?
that towel hook is innsanne !!! lmfao
8:44 my towel holder bends a little to the left
Uhh.. Where can I get the stl Files for these?

Nice Video! I liked the first from last year more because in this video was not really something for me in it. I like to get inspired what i can print next so hope you do this kind of video more often then once a year. Thank you
@HACKlab Can you post the link for the drill (tool) holder?

Man that last part alone made me subscribe cause of the kindness from the heart u ain’t mean to give out ppl ideas u was just helping 💯 I’m bout to buy my printer tomarrow
Thank you
I enjoyed this video but I have a question. If you are downloading from Thingiverse, which is not copyright protected, and you donate ti the designer, are you still considered stealing or taking someone’s design and making money off of it? I’m asking seriously because I have some ideas and I want to make money. I may borrow from other ideas to get started but if I desire to upload will I have ownership?
No, you cant steal designs. You HAVE to either get permission from the designer or design it completely by yourself.
Steal designs 😂 they probably stole the idea from someone else.
where could I find the house of keys file?
what program do you use to customize
Fusion 360
I'm new at this. Can files be scaled up or down to make the same object but in a different size?
Yes
@@xxxxxxxx183 Hey thanks for replying but I figured it out months ago.
I am a gadget man and if there is something that has hit the shops and if I like it, I buy it, possibly use it once or twice then it's put on the shelf.
I would like to start 3D printing but correct me if I'm wrong don't I need some software to run the printer, so where do I find the software free or otherwise?
Kinda surprised nobody bothered to answer you in over a year. The printer will need "firmware" which it should already have installed (and it's normally a major pain to make any updates or changes) ... as for the stuff to turn the models (stl) into something the printer can recognize (gcode), that's called a slicer (as in, it slices the model into pieces and tells the printer how to make each piece stacked on top of each other) and it runs on your computer... usually also requiring a SD card reader (and SD card which may or may not come with the printer) to transfer the files. There are many free slicers: Cura, PrusaSlicer, SuperSlicer, OrcaSlicer (I'm noticing a pattern here) are the most common for FDM (melt the plastic and squish it out like a glorified caulk gun), and Lychee and ChituBox (free but with paid-only features) are common for resin printers.
Honestly, Other materials are better suited to many of the items here. Metal, wood, hemp... There's definitely some that do work in plastic as well, but my concern is - do we really want all this plastic around us?
I agree
Let’s talk about this towel holder.
How else do you peel your produce?
8:44 lmao, nice "hook"
is there a video showing how to custom thing?
8:45… umm… 😧
Excellent video, but you may want to edit out that time stamp - I know had to have been an honest mistake (hint: it’s upside-down)
so should I flip it, or remove it? It looks sturdy enough to be useful. I realize it's not appropriate. Thanks Brenda.
@@hacklabdesign In fact, it can be quite an appropriate product in some niches 🤣
Maybe useful and kinda important to tell people to use food safe filament and a cleaned printer if you make stuff in contact with food?
Is there such a thing as ”food-safe” filament? I think resin might work to be food safe if its properly set but filament? You would have to bake it or seal it with varnish perhaps? Still not totally safe though, things easily grow on this. A cookie cutter could be used as a “single-use” item perhaps.
@@henriklagercrantz Food safe 3D printing filaments include PLA, PP, co-polyester, PET, PET-G, HIPS, and nylon-6, as well as some brands of ABS, ASA, and PEI. Having to run parts through the dishwasher rules out PET, nylon, and PLA because these plastics soften and distort around 60-70 °C. For applications involving hot liquids, co-polyester, High Temperature PLA or PEI are most suited.
9:18 it looks more like a samsung holder to me XD
woah
8:45 Definitely not a towel holder!
I agree with Chippwalters comment below. You have done a great job to encourage other to look at ideas and try to improve them with their own ideas. Good job.
