Jacinta, who was called to come by Isabel, tells Isabel, that the maculae appeared again because of Isabel's bad behaviour. Her stress and bad deeds display on her skin. The maculae reappeared due to psychosomatic issues. Jacinta informs Bernarda, that in order to get rid of Manuela, the amulet with the dirt has to be stolen. Leopoldo, who left Salinas' residence at night and was seen by Jacinta and Bernarda, spent time with Celeste. Celeste informs him, that she needs money to pay the rent. Leopoldo unwillingly promises to collect enough to pay the rent. Psychiatrist Leonardo informs Fernando, that Manuela is better, but the best to do is wait. When he leaves Salinas' residence, Leopoldo returns and doesn't want to give any explanation, where he has been. All of sudden, delirious Manuela appears at the top of the stairs. Teresa tries to stop her in any move and yells for Bernarda to come. Bernarda brings Manuela back to bedroom. In bedroom, Bernarda discovers and steals the amulet, which was hidden under the pillow. Aunt Gabriela comes to Salinas' residence to give support and help Fernando with Manuela if necessary. Manuela successfully persuades Luisa in stopping to give her the drops. The girls make deal, that if anyone will ask, they tell, that Manuela takes and Luisa prepares the sedative drops as scheduled. Fernando offers Leopoldo the job. Leopoldo will be responsible of collecting public commissions. Leopoldo doesn't seem to have any work habits. Aunt Gabriela talks with Teresa. Teresa knows and keeps her mouth shut, that Manuela stopped taking the drops. Aunt Gabriela perceived that as well by her senses. Aunt Gabriela has bad feeling, something very bad will happen. Teresa calls to Fernando in his office and informs him, that Manuela is very well. Fernando is pleasantly surprised and makes his way home. Marcia, his secretary, informs him, that he should be taking part of important reunion at the night. Fernando promises to come. Luisa asks Lorenzo, what should she do, if Manuela has any weird or treatment opposing demand. Lorenzo suggests Luisa to decide herself and as last instance. Fernando comes home and makes his way in bedroom to see Manuela immediately. They talk with joy in their voices and Manuela has two plans. First, to make honeymoon voyage, and second, to fire Bernarda. Rudy wants to visit Manuela in Salinas' residence. That makes Elisa very angry. Rudy tries to explain, that Manuela is his cousin, but Elisa doesn't accept that, because she feels Rudy's deeper emotional involvement. Leonardo talks to Manuela and promises her, that there is no need of taking the sedative drops. When the short talk is over, Leonardo talks with Fernando outside the bedroom at hall in first floor. Isabel secretly listens the conversation, in which she hears, that Manuela is on full health. That makes Isabel very angry. When Bernarda comes to Isabel's bedroom with washed laundry, Isabel asks and argues with her. Manuela is on full health, but Bernarda denies it and promises, that Manuela's health condition will worsen soon. Isabel doesn't trust Bernarda and wants to worsen Manuela's health condition by herself. Luisa brings coffee in main hall and Fernando answers her question, that Manuela is healthy again. Then, Fernando orders Bernarda to prepare diet dinner for Manuela. Teresa asks Fernando, what about Bernarda and Manuela's fear from her. Fernando doesn't want to fire Bernarda and also, he wants Manuela to get rid of her fear from her. Luisa asks Manuela, if she wants anything to eat and drink. Manuela orders to prepare soup and orange juice. Then, Manuela tells Luisa, that she misses Rudy a lot. Rudy came to visit Manuela. After telling his full name, he is welcomed by Bernarda, who informs him, that Manuela isn't allowed to accept visits due to her nerve problems. Bernarda suggests Rudy to ask further details Fernando, but Rudy doesn't want to and leaves. Luisa prepared orange juice for Manuela and takes it to her bedroom. She is secretly watched by Isabel, who has opportunity now to harm Manuela. Once in her bedroom, moving silenty near sleeping Manuela, Isabel enriches Manuela's orange juice by the full load of the flask with the sedative drops. Then, Isabel leaves Manuela's bedroom.
